For what it's worth, PC gaming has come a long way since the early days of where you had to worry about each and every component playing nice with a new game. Nowadays, shoddy ports from people like Square Enix or WB not withstanding, it's a pretty hassle free process I'd say, even if it's not 100% as carefree as just plopping the cart into your Switch and start playing
And I think part of the appeal of PC gaming also
is that tinkering process but lowering the entry hurdles like with the Steam Deck is also really good.
