who the developer is for the Peach game is basically Blue dress/gold dress on Fami watch her have both in game lol

People are very adamant that it looks like NLG's work to them, but I'm a NLG shill and I don't see it for the life of me. Anyways...

Trust the Princess
The only thing that looks like NLG about it is the graphics quality is very high. The fact it looks kinda generic tho speaks more Paper Mario team to me.

The npc designs and the animation work look especially off for what NLG is known for imo

But that's just me

I thought it was obvious by the “early Paper Mario” comparison that it was Intelligent Systems

Nate seems too confident in "Prime 4 will be out in 2024" and I think he bought into Metal Lord's posting too much about the game being basically done.

Metal Lord was wrong about all the contracted workers leaving (a huge chunk did not, they just hired a bunch of people at the same time 18 months prior to June 2023) and it makes little sense to be explicitly hiring for more contract workers to work on Prime 4 if the game is done.

The tiny amount of job postings suggests we're closer to Prime 4's release, but it's nowhere near a lock for 2024. If it was a lock for 2024, Nintendo would want to show it as soon as they could.

Well the Sony One is more a "Partner Showcase"

Tomorrow’s broadcast will focus on updates to previously announced games coming to PlayStation consoles. From indie and PS VR2 highlights, to major upcoming titles from our third-party partners, our latest show has something for everyone!

Imagine the Direct and State of Play on the same day. Belated E3 vibes.

Team Ninja's Rise of the Ronin should be there. Looking forward to that!

...Now, it's just a matter of seeing if Sony could get Capcom back in bed with them again for MH6 or not...

The idea from Nate in the podcast that Fire Emblem Holy War Remake is already almost complete seems like really really bad management from Nintendo.

The idea that Intelligent Systems made an entire game before getting any feedback on Engage seems... Bad.

I have to wonder when the last update Nate got on this game was because I wouldn't be surprised to see huge internal delays to Holy War after Engage was such a step down sales-wise. Maybe being pushed to 2025 or 2026.
Well, what if FE4 remake is made by KT instead of IntSys? Engage was all IntSys, maybe FE4 is outsourced.
I have a hard time imagining GX would do very well as a shadowdrop. Pikmin 1+2 was lucky enough to release just before Pikmin 4. Metroid Prime was lucky enough to get a BIG visual overhaul. What would GX have?
Nah I think Echoes HD is our shadowdrop here, trust the process
Tbh I think Metroid Prime 2 doesn't have the same glamour and legacy of 1 to be a sure thing for Nintendo to do a shadowdrop.
Unless they couple with a trailer and date for MP4 and/or couple it with 3, I don't know if it'll sell well as a shadowdrop.
Well, MP4 + 2R shadowdropped would be the dream, but sadly MP2R announced for December or January and that's it is possible.
The only way MP4 is cross gen is if 2witch is out before May. Checkmate succ-ers.
I think MP4 might be the cross gen launch title of Switch 2 if the console comes in Q2, as long as they have Mario Kart for the following month and the inevitable 3D Mario on the holiday season.
If Switch 2 is Q2 AND Mario is the launch title I think MP4 is gonna be fall 2024 sadly.
Y'all...we can talk about The Process all bloody day long. But if we don't at least hear about Prime 4 tomorrow, I will be super bummed.
Yeah. I won't lie here saying I won't be extremely sad to go yet another direct without seeing MP4. I don't think waiting for Switch 2 reveal is a reasonable thing either, since they made a BotW blowout on Wii U.

I can’t believe Donkey Kong got shot in the head 36 times during the nintendo direct by Nintendo of japan.

I think we can probably lock in Beyond Good and Evil for Switch in the headlines section. Haven’t seen predictions for that one yet.

There is not a better way to end the last Nintendo Direct dedicated to Nintendo Switch than with a Metroid Prime 4, the game that was announced in June 2017, just few months after Nintendo Switch was released.

BUUUTTT... If they were to show MP4, and show it running at an obviously better-than-Switch fidelity (like, very obvious, 4k resolution and lighting/texturing way beyond MP Remastered) that would be such a sick way to soft-confirm the imminent reveal of a new console. Just date it "2024" and leave people guessing.

Not gonna lie my stomach flipped at the thought of this

I really can't imagine Paper Mario remaster will be here with Super Mario RPG out in November. I think Paper Mario remaster will be in a 2024 direct.

Prime 4
I haven't been following the rumours at all, but this feels like such a win-win direct. If it's great, great.

If it's weak, that just means the Switch 2 reveal will be even better with whatever games they're holding back.

Hoping to see F-Zero GX and Prime 2, but not Prime 4. Save that for the Switch 2 reveal.

They would 100% not do that, but I can dream.
For about a week now I’ve been wanting it to be a BotW like reveal where they just casually tweet “launching in 2024 for Nintendo Switch and [Next console code name]” lol

I still think Prime 4 is 2024.
Dread was announced and released in the span of a few months in 2021.

I thought it was that Retro were hiring effects artists, which could have been interpreted as them getting a trailer ready.

Fire emblem feels like the kinda of genre and game that literally anyone could make. It's very simple. There's nothing super creative about it either. Nintendo wasn't built on it.
This is incredibly stupid, not to mention completely dismissive of the people who make these games. A lot goes into FE games, especially when it comes to the gameplay and level design, you can't just get "anyone" to make them. And how is it not creative?? This post is complete nonsense.

I don't even understand what you mean by "Nintendo wasn't built on it". I mean, if Nintendo wasn't built on FE then it certainly wasn't built on Metroid, F-Zero, and especially Kid Icarus either lol.

This is such a bad take that I'm convinced you're at best trolling.
