Necrolipe seen to hint tommorow Direct will be the final Direct mostly focused on Switch software.

This is not a hint. The way it's worded in Portuguese sounds he's saying it's possible it's the last one. He's more so expressing nostalgia for the Switch era (a little ahead of time, but hey)

Dissapointing a bit to hear about possibility of no Prime, but yeah as Nate said just predictions. Im still hoping as its about time and they probably want to show it off this year?

I personally don't believe it. We will get another Switch exclusive Direct in February, at least.

I'm not expecting the next hardware to be announced before March;
I do. They gotta start advertising titles exclusive to Switch 2 sooner than later. Either the Switch 2 is announced in February or we don't get a Direct until it's announced.

I can totally see at least a short Prime 4 teaser and something like "oh heres Prime 2 Remaster to tie you over" until next year.

Also about the Switch 2... rip my wallet next year 😂

Seems like from now on Nintendo likes to do only 24 notice prior to Directs from September 2022, altough the February 2023 Direct still had the old airing time.

Probably the worst predictions video from Nate for a direct. Not saying their predictions are bad, but it’s a state of the situation. So far it’s just the repeated small first party games from Pyoro. No Metroid Prime 4 or Metroid at all.

This direct might just suck for me and many other people. But I still will trust the process and say we will see Prime 4

Good direct: Wind Waker / Twilight Princess Ports along with Metroid Prime 2 port (not remaster).

Great direct: Wind Waker / Twilight Princess Ports, Metroid Prime 2 Remaster, Pokémon red and blue added to NSO

Grand slam direct: Wind Waker / Twilight Princess Ports, Metroid Prime 2 Remaster, Pokémon red and blue added to NSO, Metroid Prime 4 info/gameplay and Smash Bros Definitive Edition

MVG predicting Bakugan 2 made me crack up. 2020 speculation/reaction game was wild.

I feel like this is either going to be a really pleasant surprise Direct for me, or actually quite underwhelming and too much a case of Nintendo keeping their powder dry. Nate reminded me of Metal Slug Tactics and that's definitely a game I'd love to see pop up again for sure. A lot for me would also hang on how interesting the Peach game looks, and what form a potential Mario vs DK takes. I'm pretty sure NST finished something this year so I'm really inclined to believe that one is coming.

Two out of Metroid, F Zero and Fire Emblem appearing would be really solid and promising for me. It's also the kind of thing I was surprised was missing in June. June was all about Pokemon and Super Mario and that makes sense. They're Nintendo's two most bankable, all-ages franchises with mass appeal. It's not surprising they're leaning on them, but it was surprising that pretty much every first party announcement or first reveal in June was from those broader franchises, with WarioWare the half-exception. Something more enthusiast facing (and let's face it, a bit more niche and which skews to a slightly older audience) is usually evident on Switch, and right now, with the exception of the mythical Prime 4, nothing fits the bill. So I expect we see a couple of things of that style.

As for the idea of, we can only get one GameCube shadowdrop, I'm not convinced Nintendo do drop F ZERO GX HD out the blue. If F ZERO 99 is real, it only comes out next month after Pacman 99 closes. Maybe GX is actually going to launch in a few months' time (sometime December through February?) which leaves Nintendo free to do a different drop tomorrow. I also don't think we can completely rule out a Hagi port of Luigi's Mansion, though perhaps that gets dropped in 2024 in close proximity to the port of Luigi's Mansion 2.

Interesting Direct tomorrow, for sure.

Careful... when it comes to Super Smash Bros news, I can be like Goku when he turned Super Saiyan on Namek where I run the risk of LOSING WHATEVER SENSE OF REASON I HAVE LEFT!

Ahem... sorry. munches a Whopper there, I'm back to my senses.

Okay, I give it to 4 more fighters spread out over the next calendar year with the first one in November:

1. Geno (releasing alongside Super Mario RPG Remake)
2. Noah/Mio
3. Alear
4. I actually don't know, either a Pokemon or some other character representative of a late Switch release.

With the exception of Geno (who walks a strange tightrope between third party and Mario character), I think all the characters would be within Nintendo because I would think these characters would have the option of being given for FREE with your NSO + Expansion Pass subscription, replacing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass. Not sure how many third parties would be happy about that.

Though if they wanna add another Sonic character with Frontiers music (namely the boss fight music), I wouldn't stop them.

I predict that the Switch 2 will come just around 5 months after its announcement (like the Switch 1; October 2016 --> March 2017); So we'd get the system itself announced after this fiscal year ends in March 2024, and they have enough time to promote the launch lineup (especially if they do have a chunk of cross-gen titles there).

Maybe I'm a downer, but my expectations are rather low knowing that switch 2 is on the way. If we get prime 4 it's already a 100% win. If not, then I don't expect much in my interest

MVG finally gave up on Prime 4, that means it'll be there tomorrow

I stand by my thoughts after the last direct as far as which gamecube game shadow drops if at all.

I assume F-Zero. I figure we don't see MP 2+3 until closer to MP 4 launch. Similar to how Nintendo has handled Pikmin. We got 3 in 2020, then got 1+2 shadow dropped not long before 4 released. We just got MP 1 this year. I figure 2+3 will shadow drop close to MP 4 launch. As for Paper Mario, that will be in-between F-Zero and MP 2+3 is my best guess. My biggest hope is for TP HD and WW HD. If those two exist it feels like it will release next year.

If we don't see MP4 tomorrow then that game is absolutely a cross gen title.

don't be such a big baby about a fucking prediction video

Do we have any rumor about the presence of Team Asano in the direct?
I know that I'm the minority here, but if they annouce something Bravely Default related then this will be a beautiful direct for me XD

Other games that I want to see tomorrow:
  • FE4 remake (I also have a really slight hope that it will be a FE4+5 remake, but I doubt this will be the case)
  • Professor Layton with at least a release window (I still can't believe that this game exists)
  • A new Ace Attorney / Investigations Duology (but with the Apollo Justice Trilogy coming out in 2024, I doubt we will see anything)
  • Something Zelda related, but now that we know that TotK DLCs aren't a thing I doubt the series will be here.

They also dropped this Tweet a day before the Mario RPG remake's announcement:

Call it a coincidence, but maybe...

I think it is a coincidence; iirc they did have a history of SMRPG references going back at least a couple years and I'm pretty sure whoever runs that account is a Geno for Smash supporter.

Which really explains that whole account's vibe. xD

They don’t know anything. I have no hype any big Smash content. If there’s anything it’ll be small. Probably some insignificant announcement they do quick and move on.

I'm excited to see a Switch equivalent to this 3DS direct aka the final direct focused on old gen games before the new console announcement

The only really "big" thing they could show that's not some old remaster is MP4 which I hope they save for next year

Prime 4 should be there but I feel ya. This direct might be underwhelming but as long as I find something to be interested in then I’m good. Would love to see Nier Replicant announce but that’ll probably never happen. I already preordered SMRPG and will be doing the same for Wonder. Seems like this truly could be the end of this switch era. BRING ON SWITCH 2!!

Even if this direct blows I'm good knowing 2024 will have bangers to be revealed

What about that Zelda thing that wasn't TotK related?
C'mon Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland remake 🤞🤞🤞

Hopefully now with New Funky Mode.

I haven’t watched Nate’s predictions yet, but from the quick scroll I’ve done of the past few pages it sounds like the Metroid franchise is ceasing production or something. 🙃

Listen, IDK about all of you, but hotgirlvideos69 says we are getting DK, Zelda, Mario, reboots, Animal Crossing and SUPRISE. and she is always right /s

Hot take: There might not be a February Direct at all.

Yes this would break the pattern. If there's any time to break a pattern it's a new console reveal. See the Nintendo Switch January 2017 blowout being a live stage event despite Nintendo not having done one since 2012.

I don't know, I have a feeling this is the second-to-last Switch-exclusive Direct. I think the February 2024 Direct will be the last.

Could be wrong though.

And that was, of course, the latest game in the Metroid Prime series, Metroid Prime 4. Thank you for your patience, we have a special guest to talk about it, Tanabe-san please take it away.
