That's a good choice, though finding out a responsible member-of-society Moderator like mr.Aurc has an anime gf is making me wonder if I've entered the Twilight Zone

Because 1: I'm old and 2: any character voiced by Megumi Hayashibara is peak
Also her series is one of the odd cases where the character art of the actual show is superior to the boxart and promo art, somehow. Just fantastic character animation in the OVA

Hey! I'm no moderator!

But yeah, Jessie was a fantastic character imo! I loved her energetic, assertive personality, and her motivations for doing what she does for Avalanche. Cloud is such a frustratingly awkward bloke around her, though. I won't say anything else, in consideration of folks who haven't played the game yet. I've still yet to play OG FF7, myself. I heard she's pretty paper thin in it, and that Remake gave her character a massive boost.

Yeah all three of Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge had like four or five lines of dialogue relatively compared to everyone else. I really liked how they fleshed them out in Remake! I kind of wanted Jessie to stick around more than Tifa and Aerith who were also great fun. I know they showed iirc Biggs live, but I hope Jessie and Wedge did too!

Major spoilers for FF7 Remake:

Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge were all amazing, yup! Really endearing characters, and I wish they'd stuck around even longer. Jessie's death had me Not Okay, and I may have briefly (briefly!) considered putting the game down over it. I think the fact that Biggs survived inspires hope we'll see Jessie again, especially since she has a more prominent role and more character development than the other two. Like, c'mon, she needs to come back in Rebirth somehow. The game is literally called Rebirth!

One thing I dislike about FF7 Remake is that there's some broken lore in the mix. Things like Biggs having run the orphanage near Aerith's house, yet Aerith seemingly having no idea who he is, lol.

Even more major spoilers for FF7 Remake:

Maybe Aeirth doesn't know because the Aeirth in game is from the original FF7 timeline while inhabiting current Aerith? She is connected to the lifestream of the planet, which is how Sephiroth likely went back in time (although that's just common speculation.) So maybe this little inconsistency is intentional in some way?

Yeah. I skipped PS4 so it was easy call for me. I am a little worried about the future lineup having a big focus on GaaS games but there are enough compelling third parties and last gen games to tide me over for the next set of single player experiences.
