  • Metroid Prime 2 and 3! I #trusttheprocess.

  • Metroid Prime 2 and 4! I #trusttheprocess.

  • Only Metroid Prime Federation Force HD For Some Reason.

  • Just A Random JPEG Of Sylux In HD.

  • Nothing, Not Even Metroid Prime Pinball. Crocomire Is Still Dead. Just Endless Despair.

I don't know. I think Atlus and P-Team understands how important FeMC and especially The Answer are for Persona 3, so I'm not sure if Reload will simply one and done. Perhaps I'm putting too much faith in a company that announces a remake 5 months after release a port of an older version that has its own share of issues, but eh.
This is atlus, throw logic and reason out the window for 50 more persona 5 gacha colabs

Yeah, that's bonkers to me. Like, half a dozen different sub-series and a bajillion games going back like 30+ years and not a single one cracked 2 million? Just wild stuff.

Especially wild that, apparently the Battle Network Collection is at like 1.3 million or something, so a collection of GBA games is probably gonna be the best-selling entry soon (if it isn't already).
It isn't that wild when you recall that time used to be that Mega Man was an annual franchise that had multiple entrants within a single year. At one point, you had the X, BN and Zero series all running concurrently, which was fun for a diehard, like me, but made it so the assembly line approach always was going to undercut an individual game's prospects for sales (among other factors).

It's why, as painful as it may be for a guy who wants his next hit, Capcom was right to let MM11 breathe and let good word of mouth carry it.

I still remember my double-take when I learned that Mega Man 11 is the best-selling game in the entire franchise at 1.6 million copies.
Every time I’m reminded of that my brain short circuits. Like mega man 2 is considered one of the most iconic games on then NES, but never even cracked 2 million? Insane to think about

Honestly, if Golden Sun fans can believe their game franchise can return, I don't see how Custom Robo's return is any less possible.

A lot of franchises will make a return over the next few years I suspect.

I think people can forget that, while many of Nintendo's biggest franchises routinely sell 10-20 million and can even not-infrequently hit 40-50 million ... 1-to-3 million sales is still nothing to sneeze at (especially for full-priced $60 exclusives that will never see bargain bin price drops). Not everything can do, or needs to do, Luigi's Mansion 3 numbers.
I wasn't negating that. I agree with everything you wrote. My point was only to emphasize that 2% of Switch owners trying a game doesn't instill confidence that the franchise has momentum.

I bought damn-near the entire Wii U and Gamecube libraries, because I wanted to support the developers and wanted the console to succeed. This isn't my first rodeo lol

This is all we have to go by and it describes "an action game that falls outside of the company's brand". To me, that implies no Xenoblade or even Zelda (this posting was released in June 2017, three months after BotW, MS's third Zelda title). MS has multiple teams, some of which are support teams for games like Animal Crossing.

To be fair, you have to account for game rentals (which were huge, back in the day), the used games market, emulation, and internet osmosis. I don't think judging super old games by sales is completely fair, when considering the time that they released.

I hate to break the bad news to you, but Nintendo is perhaps the most anime game weeb shit out there.

Search your feelings. You know this to be true.
Eh, I see it more as a mix. I agree nintendo has anime games (xenoblade, FE), but they also have the most cutesy franchises out of any major game company (Mario, DK, Kirby, Animal crossing, etc)

Imagine if we don't get a Direct this week and this thread gets to 300 pages before the end of the week.

Alright, I’m going to bed now, which is when pyoro has reawakened in the past. Pretty please let pyoro come back tonight to drop more leaks upon us, from-PillyDillsy, loyal believer in the process

We’re going to see it next year. Trust me.

Regarding Direct speculation: After spending a day on here with you all, I'm more inclined to believe Metroid Prime 4 may actually show up at the Direct.

I know that fake leak implied Stray, and I hope that coincidentally happens to be true, and revealed here. Thinking of third-party reveals, I would love to see Beyond Good & Evil be revealed (and dated) here.

Thr last Direct had several incredible third-party reveals (MGS Collection and Arkham Trilogy among them). I would love to see Viewtiful Joe make a comeback, but I've been "predicting that" for every Direct since 2018.

I'm a simple man Nintendo, this is all I want!
Don't let me go another Direct without it!!!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which is the most anime Nintendo game of all time due to the ending. Honestly nothing can top it.

Zelda was the Monolith action game. Let it go lol.
That doesn't really track with what the recruitment ad said. It was supposed to be outside of Monolith Soft's brand and that would include Zelda. Besides, they released a recruitment ad for a Zelda game three months before Tears of the Kingdom was first shown.

I'm so not as emotionally invested as you are, and I understand why your name is your name.

Nothing you wrote negated the sentence you were trying to argue with me over, and I am never going to argue about video games lol.
I have bad news bud - youre already arguing about video games. I'm not emotionally invested. I was just correcting you. Chill man. I really don't wanna argue anymore.

The name is just a Fullmetal Alchemist reference. Itsnotthatdeep.png

We are less than 80 minutes away from the second thread event starting. Excited to get that going soon :)

Are you sure they didn't just work with Nintendo on TOTK? I think that's what that is.

The fact that the Sonic Adventure games aren't on Switch yet is utterly baffling.
SEGA seems to not care about putting older Sonic games on the most popular platform for them, unfortunately. It seems like their logic is “we already made those games available on other platforms, and since you can play them via backwards compatibility or on PC right now why bother porting them again?” They won’t even make Switch the lead platform for Sonic game development despite it making so much more sense than sacrificing the quality of the version of the game that will inevitably sell the most.
