  • Only Metroid Prime Federation Force HD For Some Reason.

  • Just A Random JPEG Of Sylux In HD.

  • Nothing, Not Even Metroid Prime Pinball. Crocomire Is Still Dead. Just Endless Despair.

Princess Peach looks like a good candidate for a segment in the middle of the Direct.

I think Fire Emblem 4 remake opening and Metroid Prime 4 closing is still in the cards.
Is there really anything else in the conversation?

New DK game won’t be announced until later. 2D Zelda doesn’t seem like something Nintendo would do now with switch 2 around the corner. I can’t think of anything else to end the direct on other than Prime 4.

Peach's Showtime would be a decent title tbh.

I want Peach to have her own little corner of the wider Mario universe to call her own, ala Luigi's Mansion. Give the game its own vibe, gameplay style, antagonists etc.

I think DS and Wii remakes are Another Code games as a 2-1 package. Probably a spring title date like april or may

Honestly, aside from Princess Peach and Prime 4 (+ maybe new 2D Zelda and/or Tomodachi), its very likely what is left for first party releases at 2024 (before Switch 2 launch) are spin-offs, remakes, remasters

Even if Nintendo has to deal with licensing to re-release F-Zero GX, what makes people think that dealing with Sega is such a big barrier? They already work together for Bayonetta and Genesis for NSO. Why would Sega play hardball with F-Zero GX, when it's practically free money for them if Nintendo handles everything?

The original didn't sell 3,3 million, Nintendo's numbers put it at 2,85m. But also, if they were looking at what the series sold 30+ years ago we'd already have a new game today. The point was, if shared ownership was such a barrier for Nintendo then F-Zero's paltry potential returns wouldn't be enough to convince them otherwise.
My mistake, could’ve swore the OG sold 3.3 million though

me and the boys when a brand new Wave Race is a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2 on May 3, 2024

Spinoffs, remakes, and filler. The "Please be excited about Switch 2" Direct.

Hopefully at least the Peach game looks good.

Nintendo has a gentlemen's agreement with Sony to not make a new Wave Race unless Sony makes a new Jet Moto and vice versa.

I don't think F-Zero 99 and Mario vs Donkey Kong are as exciting as the internet does, right now.
It’s not exciting. A few people on message boards doesn’t make these exciting announcements. It makes the “this is the end of Switch” feel more real. Ports, remasters, small games are end of the generation.

4 in Japan symbolizes death
Starting with a 4 and ending with a 4 represents th death of the Switch and birth of the Switch 2

These are the two games Pyoro keeps liking tweets of, and dropping hints for (he followed "MATLAB with Pac-Man 99 being discontinued, and then again with a new Nintendo 99 game coming, and followed DK with two DK vs Mario tweets)

People were excited before he liked those tweets and his hints were misinterpreted.

A game I loved on the Wii was called Opoona. I know it’ll never comeback, but the remakes got me thinking about…sadly no DS counterpart

Wow.. F-Zero 99 and Mario vs. DK, is like.. the worst outcome for both ends; I don't know why even tease stuff like this if only was to raise expectations...
I wouldn't be disappointed in a Mario vs DK myself but yeah I'd prefer a 3D DK game

A small part of me hopes that the DS/Wii remake is the NSMB games for DS and Wii. Super nostalgic for those.

Really? There was only 20 more pages of comments made after I went to sleep. I expected like 50 pages of Metroid fans screaming if Prime 4 was confirmed.
Nah mate i was joking

Personally I find the idea of a Wild World/City Folk mash up remake really appealing. I think Animal Crossing is actually under-utilised on Switch, and the older games have the potential to offer something to fans that's different to the direction the series has now gone in. But I also really doubt Nintendo would actually combine different entries from one of their core IP in that fashion, given their remakes and re-releases tend to be largely faithful to the original experience (and this is sometimes detrimental to the re-released experience). It's also difficult to know who might actually create that hypothetical AC game.
You have no idea how much I love the idea of mashing up wild world and city folk together for a HD remake/port. It would be so nice to be able to finally play that game without using the forced pointer controls in it.

Well, in that case they need to have talks with ex-Cing employees who owns the franchise. but without them Nintendo alone won't do the remakes.

Nintendo didn't even release the Cing games on Wii U DS and Wii Virtual Consoles, as Cing got bankrupt before Wii U was out. Hotel Dusk, Last Window, Another Code 1&R were absent from the Wii U VC. So were the games of other dead studios: Chibi Robo Wii and DS games, Custom Robo GBA and DS games. This was not the case with ALIVE studios: Reginleiv by Sandlot and Pandora's Tower by Ganbarion were on the platform and they also were co-owned.

In reality it is most likely that with the bankruptcy of Cing, Nintendo now retains full rights to those games, and they just haven't been interested in re-releasing them yet.

This happens all the time.

Edit.
Anyway, looks like Another Code (and the others visual novel franchises of ds era) are full nintendo copyright

So are the Another Code games actually good? Genuine question, I know nothing of them.
It’s a Japanese adventure game on the DS, which is of course an impossible to screw up combination and a guaranteed hit every time.

In all serious the poster who called it a vibes game is very much correct.

I just had a realisation...Pyoro never talks about smaller third party stuff, right?

Before the June Direct he leaked Super Mario RPG remake, Super Mario Bros Wonder, Detective Pikachu Returns and Pikmin 1+2. After that he leaked things about Pokemon, FIFA and Sonic. Those are all either first party Nintendo games (or related) or major third party games.

...So if we follow this pattern, the DS and Wii game remake are either a first party Nintendo game or a major third party game

Am i on to something here?
