But man I could almost cry tears of happiness just because it's returning. Like it's for real happening

Nintendo knows better then to deal with Melee fans. Probably best to keep the plague as contained as possible.

In my opinion, Ultimate has made every other Smash game obsolete. It’s not like TotK, where there’s an additional map and a revolutionary crafting system. It’s “just” Melee on steroids.

Like, I know wavedash exists, but still.
 
Yeah I'm normally not that much in to leaks - but I am kind of weak currently and since he's starting to leak so soon I will probably find out either way even if I dotn want ti so I'll stay put :p

But the question is.. why is he starting the leaks this early.

If we look at the best selling GameCube games list, we can obviously cross some out already.
Red = Not happening, Green = Already happened, Orange = likely to happen
  1. Super Smash Bros. Melee won't happen because of Smash Ultimate
  2. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! won't happen because of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  3. Super Mario Sunshine is already on Switch through 3D All Stars
  4. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker isn't yet on Switch
  5. Luigi's Mansion is likely to make the jump as LM3 is already on it and Dark Moon is coming next year
  6. Metroid Prime 1 is already on Switch in the form of MP Remastered
  7. Animal Crossing won't happen because of AC New Horizons
  8. Mario Party 4 won't happen because of newer Mario Party games taking priority (as they should). Most it could get is remastered minigames and maps in a future game.
  9. Pokémon Colosseum, don't really have a case to make for this other than it's Pokémon and they don't really retread spin-offs
  10. Mario Party 5 is in the same boat as Mario Party 4
  11. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year door is a likely candidate to happen due to the Paper Mario rumours
  12. Star Fox Adventures is likely to happen because I'm high on copium.
I'm ending my list here because a) it would get too extensive and b) I wanted to end on SFA.

If we look at the list of best selling GCN games, obviously we can see that the next three games supposedly making the jump are Wind Waker (and probably Twilight Princess too) in a double pack in their Wii U HD form, Luigi's Mansion 1, and Paper Mario TTYD.

Call me crazy to keep hoping but Star Fox Adventures isn't all that unlikely if you look at GameCube sales figures.

Yeah, my money is also on Prime remasters and/or FFT. More likely Prime. Both Prime games should be lock for the Direct, I trust Grubb.

I’d say Star Fox is the last major one. We still have stuff like Tomodachi and Rhythm Heaven missing for example and more rare stuff like Kid Icarus.
