No time to doom with my fellow Xbox fans when there's rumors of a Gears of War collection.

Well that’s route B of Nier Replicant down. Boy did it like making me feel like shit DX. Will probably need a guide for that last ending. Now time to focus on Xbc3 Future Redeemed till ToTK is out!… well not tonight, tonight I climb up in the loft and get cozy with AWRBC, Rhapsody and some picross.

I played this game a ton as kid. Its not long so it will be fun as an appetizer before Zelda.

Ouch on that price bump but yay on it making it over, sometimes the licensing makes it tough. Could be a worse price bump tho
Also the actual trailer

When I was in high school, I helped the teacher get the DVD player working.
In my last class, I had to get a student to help me get the iPad working.
Circle of Life.

There’s been rumors for years. Personally I don’t see it happening as all the games are enhanced via backward compatibility on the 4K Xbox systems.

One book in the Wheel Of Time series down... 14 more to go, if I decide to indulge in more.
How'd you like it? I was a massive Wheel of Time fan in high school, but it's been a while since I read them. I'm sure some of the gender stuff in particular hasn't aged well, but it's a very long, comfy series that really takes the time to develop characters and the world.

If you stick with it there are some very high highs, but also because of the nature of the storytelling some bits you have to push to get through. I think it depends on how you feel about certain character arcs. I'm on the last book of my 2nd read through now and wouldn't definitely recommend overall.

Iirc for ending C and D you just need to have all the weapons. You can get C and then just skip saving clear data, go back and then get D too.

I managed yo get a fan translation of mother 3 yo play on the analogue. The game is surprisingly dark compared to Earthbound (only played for like an hour this weekend). I'll probable pause It when Zelda launches but I like it so far

Almighty heavens, it's still not Zelda day.

Circle of Life.

"The future is now, old person."

Started watching Buffy

The cheesy 90s style makes me nostalgic for that era, in the best way possible
Just wait till you get past the second season, one of the best shows ever.

Problematic showrunner not withstanding

Hmmmm

I was marathon watching all 6 TotK trailers the other day, and thinking about it, TotK (then BotW2) was announced so long ago, that watching all of them is almost like a mini-diary of my life, both IRL and on forums.

2019 teaser - Started a new job, was generally happy, Dan Tompkins album had dropped. Was active on Zelda Dungeon and lost my mind together with them, going all capslock and stuff.

2021 teaser - Unemployed, new Dan Tompkins album had dropped. (Hope something new comes soon, to make it a thing) Had been on Era for a few months, and hung out in General Discussion (presumably with some of you?) and was super stoked about the sky setting, and had a lot of fun reading all the reactions in all the threads.

2022 delay announcement - Turbulent, emotional times. (and frankly, that delay announcement didn't help) Recently started a new job and analyzed the heck out of the 6 seconds of new footage with my best friend.

2022 title announcement - Fun times on Fami going nuts in Direct Speculation. In general, life marched on.

2023 new trailer - Watched together with a friend via WhatsApp, I jumped up and down in my couch and yelled excitedly. New Katatonia had dropped. Lead-up in Direct Speculation was as fun as ever.

2023 final trailer - In my hotel room in Tokyo. Was stunned at how utterly, unbelievably incredible that trailer was.

I quite enjoyed it. Every 100 pages it seemed like there was some massive escalation in the perils the travelling party faced.

I'll probably stick with it, but it's not something I'm going to read all 15 books in one go. Got a few other books on my shelf to still read, plus anything I can check out of the digital public library.

They aren't on PC though. That's reason enough to do it.

Less than 5 days to TotK!
About 5 weeks to the next Direct!
Financials tonight or tomorrow?
Gonna be a fun week!

Also, I love that every time I load up my tab with the Direct Speculation thread, finish reading the current page, and hit the next button for the next page… you sickos have already added 4-5 more pages since the last time.

Guess I’m tapping out of that thread. It’s worse than Xeno’s paradox.

2019? Is that right? Damn. I didn't even have a single child when the game was announced, and now I have two!

Who said other people could post jazz songs on this webpage. That’s my niche!

J/K. Don’t know much of anime but I do like jazz so will check that channel out.

I need to stop posting on the Weekend thread because I end up playing nothing every time I do smh

Platina Jazz are absolutely fantastic
I just found their cover of Knock A Little Harder from Cowboy Bebop, and holy shit, it might be my absolute favorite version of the song

Think you'll like it. I feel like you wouldn't know these were anime songs if you didn't know the originals in the first place.

I kinda want to see a Star Fox game from Koei Tecmo and Omega Force
I wanna Dark Ronin storyline slasher Star Wolf game from Team Ninja. Cast away by his team mates and betrayed by his boss Andross, Wolf goes on a bloody mission to set things right. There's gonna be lots of robots slashed into two by Wolf's sharp claws...

Inspired by Jedi Survivor's release, I've finally started Fallen Order on PC yesterday. Now that I've completed the opening section of the game, I'm reminded of why I usually rather watch someone else play games like 'these' than play them myself.
The way they're trying to have you 'play along' in action sequences, like a chase sequence, trying to climb up somewhere while the music is swelling and you're supposed to feel under pressure because the enemy's following you (and similar stuff), it just doesn't work for me, as I'm basically just holding the stick up and pressing a button every now and then to cross some kind of gap or swing over something or whatever else the dev team imagined as a hurdle to make it more ... engaging, I guess.
Pair that with the fact that much of it is just for show and you're not seriously in danger of dying/failing, and I lose any sense of immersion immediately.

I know there are people out there enjoying stuff like that, but I gotta be honest: I'd rather watch a film than interact with a game on this surface level. Basically, just 'being along for the ride' really doesn't do it for me. I think I need more ... emergent gameplay (?) to be satisfied.

The game certainly sounds and looks nice, the battle system also has made a solid first impression so far.

The game tries to hit a balance between Uncharted-style setpiece driven gameplay, Souls-lite combat and Metroid Prime exploration and imo doesn't always succeed but that might be just me liking the latter two components better. Survivor seems a bit better in that regard but I'm not that far.

I was planning to play all Friday Zelda, but my boss was like "hey , remember that deal we were working last year with this company in november. Well it's finally closed and we need to travel this friday to sign contracts, so you'll have to move your free day to next friday" and the worst part it's a one day travel so I always end very tired to do anythin

I love just how much anticipation and excitement is in the air right now for TOTK. Basically every game site and YouTube channel I know of is doing week-long Zelda stuff, podcasts are all doing something Zelda, it’s just everywhere. Really feels like a celebration of the series in lead-up to a holiday for the game release or something.
