It's still funny to me how they effectively used their previous lands for these, Nintendo Gallery is being build where their older factory was and the new EPD building will be where former R&D1 (now Research Center) and Mario Club are, not to mention that it was previously also Nintendo HQ till 2000.

POV: you're the new Nintendo building and a developer went outside to look at you for inspirationNintendo be like "bro please just one more bland cube bro please this time it will work i promise, bro"
Yes, you're right I was mishleaded but the first report from Nikkei which came before Nintendo official announcement and they said the new building will get build where Mario Club/NRC is.Development Center, Building No. 02 is being built on new Nintendo land (lol). They bought the adjacent lot from the city, that was being used as industrial depot. The Kyoto City Waterworks Bureau is where they are leasing space for additional development staff until the new building is completed.
Mario Club AND Nintendo Research Center, which are two separate buildings now - are located on a slightly more distant lot from the HQ and two development centers.
Welcome to Hotel Miyamotothey are building something else and we don't know what.
Last thing I remember, I sawWelcome to Hotel Miyamoto
the changes in TPC are usually later than the changes in Nintendo, Creatures and GF.So is Ishihara gonna be CEO of TPC only? And I wonder what the plans are for Creatures as they been moving more into gaming
Creatures, 232. (144 - 2019)1-UP studio reached 80 devs
I wonder if some of the devs are tired of working on Mario.Camelot continues to shrink
The problem might be that Mario contracts keep them afloatI wonder if some of the devs are tired of working on Mario.

This probably has nothing to do with pokemonHip Tanaka should go back to music full time
But also is there any reason given for this? Didn't really think Creatures was the part of the Pokemon pipeline that needed a management shakeup...
I mean, it's Creatures. It has something to do with Pokemon in some capacity, lol. But yeah it may have essentially no impact on the mainline gamesThis probably has nothing to do with pokemon
My point was that this seems more like a bureaucratic change than any change in their pipeline. Especially with them getting older and Ishihara having to steer a much larger ship at the same timeI mean, it's Creatures. It has something to do with Pokemon in some capacity, lol. But yeah it may have essentially no impact on the mainline games
Interesting quote from Mr. Miyamoto in this interview:
Mario Is Moving Away From Mobile Games, Reveals Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto (EXCLUSIVE)
Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that 'mobile apps will not be the primary path of future Mario games,' and clarified his stance on shooter games.variety.com
“First and foremost, Nintendo’s core strategy is a hardware and software integrated gaming experience,” said Miyamoto, who played a pivotal role in designing the Wii, among other Nintendo consoles. “The intuitiveness of the control is a part of the gaming experience. When we explored the opportunity of making Mario games for the mobile phone — which is a more common, generic device — it was challenging to determine what that game should be. That is why I played the role of director for Super Mario Run, to be able to translate that Nintendo hardware experience into the smart devices.”

That importance isn’t lost on Miyamoto, and it’s part of the reason why, in addition to serving as Super Mario Run’s producer, he’s also taken on a more hands-on, directorial role. He’s even working with longtime Nintendo producer Takashi Tezuka,
That's weird, it was mentioned multiple times when the game was released (and by himself too) that he is the producer of the title, but in another interview he mentioned that he taken more directional role, Tezuka was the actual Director. He's a 70 year old man. The number of artists and innovators working at 70 who are still doing good work is very small, and the ones that are, they're the ones following their personal muse even when it brings them away from the work - or medium - that brought them success. Recreating the fun of Mario on a device he has zero control over the control scheme, playing with AR Pikmin, codesigning theme parks, consulting on the Mario Movie, these are probably more productive uses of his mind that returning properly to the Mario well. For all its worth, Miyamoto did have involvement on Run. Which is more than he can say for just about every Mario games now.
The future of NLGI wonder if some of the devs are tired of working on Mario.
Furry Mass Effect is never happeningas long as they're not tied to making a rail shooter, NLG could make a bitchin Star Fox

Marvel UA3 was. But I think DC Superhero girls still has EPD involvement since there were some NCL staff credited in that game.I remember reading somewhere (possibly on this forum) that games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and DC Super Hero Girls were produced by NOA and not NCL, is there any source or proof of that? If so, are there any other games like that?
Do we know anything about how these projects came to be? I really don't see the developers going specifically to Nintendo instead of some 3rd party publisher, nor do I see Nintendo going after these types of games, so it seems very random.Marvel UA3 was. I think it was Nintendo who went to Marvel asking for an exclusive, at least according to an interview.Do we know anything about how these projects came to be? Personally I'm not really opposed to seeing a licensed game or two published by Nintendo once in a while, so I actually hope they continue with this stuff - maybe they could make an anime game like they used to with those Hamtaro games or Jump Stars!
Where did you get this?
I feel like there is some mistranslating going on. Maybe Miyamoto said that he had a more creative role in that game and it got interpreted as directing. Also maybe the journalist wasn‘t really aware what it means. It is unclear in the industry anyway. Some name the roles similar to movie credits like Nintendo, other are very lose with the term. That's weird, it was mentioned multiple times when the game was released (and by himself too) that he is the producer of the title, but in another interview he mentioned that he taken more directional role, Tezuka was the actual Director. his contributions are probably the worse parts of the park.I am very happy about the strong participation of Kensuke Tanabe. All his work and talent are so underrated.
I could not care less of how the building looks. Inside, the most creative projects of our generation will be developed. We will cherish them for years to come.POV: you're the new Nintendo building and a developer went outside to look at you for inspiration
