The only way I'd trust them is if they brought back Del Toro. And the original cast. By literally just pretending the second movie didn't happen.

I loved that the inciting incident for all that hyperviolence was "don't fuck with Keanu's puppy"

Now that's a movie franchise that knew how to land its sequels and keep ramping up the action. Chapter 4 already getting rave reviews is setting my expectations high and I also need to rewatch that franchise

Yeah, unless Del Toro is back at the helm I can't say I'd have anything more than cautious optimism at best while walking in extremely cynical (which isn't the bar I want the movie to set; I want my expectations to be zero - not negative)

But also had I the technical know-how and access to a rightwing nutjob's heaven of firearm artillery, I too would also wage a one man war against anyone who so much as dared harm a single whisker on Mr. Peanutbutter's precious face.
 
Del Toro should finally get his "At the Mountains of Madness" movie going before he thinks of doing anything else.

I wouldn't necessarily say so, no. It's more that it kind of lacks the emotional heft of the first one despite having an entertaining cast. If you mostly want to watch it for cheesy one liners and action you still might get your fill.

I mean, that might just be enough for me to watch once and leave it at that haha
 
The kickstarter for Warside went live a couple hours ago (it's already past 1/3 of its goal btw) and I made a pledge for the digital edition, which is only ~20 euros.
This is the first pledge I ever made for something, so I'm excited to see how this goes!

EDIT: It feels surprisingly good to support a small independent studio, hope they reach their goal (and a lot more!) :)

is there a reason a link between worlds couldn’t be ported to switch, by this i mean, does the gameplay require a dual display, and therefore a port is an impossibility as it would impair the overall experience?

The game heavily relies on the 3D screen if I remember correctly.

I swear the entire internet is going through some server bullshit. Microsoft Office is a mess and Reddit having tech problems the other day on desktop.

Fami is probably my only refuge that's still pretty responsive

Ooh! I thought of something cool that Nintendo should do in terms of features! Screenshot memories like Facebook or Google Photos do!

How often do we just capture screenshots/videos and completely forget about them even a week later? If it were a feature in albums, that would start a little slideshow of "On this day in gaming [x] years ago..." and it's a highlight reel of when you cinched that photo finish First Place win in Mario Kart 8, or when you got that wicked kill against the Gold Lynel in BotW on Hard Mode, or a tour of a previous iteration of your Animal Crossing island, or a funny photo from Pokemon Snap, or some bizarre reason you took a screenshot of your Skeledirge's moveset that you can't remember the context of so it reminds you to either delete the screenshot (thereby freeding up space on your SD card) or fire up Pokemon SV and see what it's current moveset is. You can pause and either export the entire video to your Facebook/Twitter lol/Instagram/Tumblr/whatever, or export some/all of the content to your phone which you can then upload to your preferred social media

It wouldn't require additional RAM in the OS, and wouldn't slow down the console any until a video is requested to be generated.

I get so many memories or "we found similar shots" notifications from google photos about my now dead dog.

It's not fun to look at constantly, and I'm not sure how to turn them off without being unable to see any of those things (like sometimes we get a little "movie" made from a family vacation which is cute).

I really, really, wanna play this game, but it's a such a shame that they had to go the multiplayer co-op route instead of just making a solid musō game with dinosaurs. I don't have three friends who will play Exoprimal and it screams "game that'll be shutdown in 2025" to me.

Multiplayer co-op but also PvPvE. It's an incredibly unappealing setup for me personally but what can you do.
 
Okay Sony. Here's the deal. I will go to the federal government and convince them to not let Microsoft buy Activision. In exchange, you must port Final Fantasy 7 Remake and all of its sequels to Switch AND port the Spider-Man games. Do we have a deal?
 
Hm wonder if we’ll get a Square Enix Eshop sale this week, and what’ll be in it. Chrono cross’s should be incoming but hoping for saga frontier

Ugh. Stop reminding me that FFVII is still inexplicably PS exclusive. The PS5 display at my local stores is getting too tempting.

Some dungeons are definitely designed with it in mind, but not to the point where it's unplayable without it, they made the 2DS after all.

It was on sale on the eShop when I checked a week or two ago. Maybe the Switch sale ended before the PS/XB sale?
 
Finally watched Kit and Krysta's predictions for 2023, and what did I expect coming from people who worked for more than a decade at Nintendo, but holy shit their predictions feel much, much more grounded in reality than even the best and most knowledgeable Nintendo youtuber lol
Great stuff. And we're only three months in and they've already nailed quite some stuff.
