Why's it so quiet? The direct is probably in the next two or three weeks. You'd think this thread would be more active.

I won't speak for anyone else but for me it's been a lot of boring months (2022 was a boring year for me) as a Nintendo fan. No TOTK footage yet even with just a few months from release, major insiders claiming new hardware is many years out. My Nintendo hype has deflated like a balloon these days.

If we are looking for similar timeframe the last year's Q1 Direct thread got 129 pages, we will do better than that. My estimate is around 160 when it's all said and done.

thats... actually hilarious. less then a minute of gameplay in 3 trailers.

... i can stream 4k without buffering, i can open the eshop in my browser pretty fast. No, its not the connection thats the problem, its how the eShop is implemented. maybe its because they wanted to keep the footprint tiny, and don't allow it to precache stuff or whatever, but i find it to be a drag and am rarely looking for interesting stuff, i just add something when i read here or see a trailer to my wishlist, and when there's a sale i only look at that. its already slow enough, but i at least know what im not wasting my time by waiting and seing how my switch is struggling to load preview screenshots and titles for shovelware...
I don‘t meant your connection, I meant the connection the Switch actually has to Nintendo Servers and what the UI is doing while it is loading images and stuff. Of course it lags while the eshop is animating things then. For example the News sections hasn‘t this problem because it‘s just loading content without much animation.

I think Nate said he wasn’t going to hint at the next direct. But if the direct is within 4 weeks maybe he’s heard about it.

Prime 5 is another png logo reveal?

the only thing Switch 2 needs is a big ass handle like the GameCube for TRUE portable gaming.

that's the direct opener

I never really thought about it this way, but Super Nintendo World and the Mario Movie are probably the biggest system selling things coming out this year. People will go to the park or see the movie and want to play Mario. Here comes the Switch.
They'll be selling Switches at Super Nintendo World.... if they don't, lost opportunity
