I've been having a good time, wait's not been too "excruciating" to be fair. Been playing The Last of Us Part I since it came out, hopefully going to finish it right before Splatoon 3 arrives (going for the platinum trophy) and from then on, alternating between continuing my Metroid Prime playthrough on Wii U VC and playing Splatoon 3!

I just finished TLOU Part I and Left Behind earlier today, and man. People can complain about it being unnecessary all they want; I loved every second of em and it reaaaally makes me wanna play 2 again!

I agree, but I’ll be slightly disappointed if some of these “remasters” aren’t substantial visual updates. Sounds like MP1 will fit into that category at the very least.
Prime yeah I expect a good facelift

My expectations are rock bottom for WW and TP. They’ve already done the work on them and, to be honest, I’m not sure I want a bunch of resources going towards upgrading them even more a second time.

Most exciting thing they can do with those is bundle them imo.

Here's a question: if Zelda WW and TP aren't bundled, and are sold separately, would you still buy them if you were planning on buying the double pack? Personally, I sure as hell wouldn't lol.

I would eventually get them for collection purposes, but that would be a low priority buy for me.

No, I don’t think I would. I’m already questioning whether I would buy them at all on Switch, because I have them both on Wii U, and my Wii U is still hooked up so I could play them whenever I wanted to.

A double pack would be one way to get me to buy them. The “value” of it would sway me, even if it’s not actually value to me because I already have these games!

I'd probably buy one Zelda then the other a few months later, depending on my mood, if they were both launched simultaneously at full price as standalone games. My Wii U broke ages ago so I sold my games for that, and given how much I like Switch and given I'm confident the games will remain compatible on the next hardware, I'll be happy to have copies of Zelda games that I can use and keep into the long term.

That being said, if they are going the standalone release route, I'd really prefer to see improvements beyond the Wii U versions, unlikely though I think that'll be.

Starting to feel better. Definitely have a fever but the intense chills and shaking have gone away, and my throat, while not great, has definitely improved.

If Nintendo sells them for $60, I'd probably begrudgingly buy them down the line after I've played LttP and replayed OoT and MM

Depends on what else is getting released. Pokemon SV are guaranteed locks for me, just need to see what else is there. And if it'll release very soon. Along with if there are any major price cuts at around Black Friday.

Wind Waker is the only one I would have played anyway tbh

I actually hope they're separate so I can get a discrete copy of wind waker

No doubt. Simply because I'm aching to play the outstanding Twilight Princess again, a game I haven't played for around a decade. It's my favorite 3D Zelda title next to Breath of the Wild. Wind Waker remains a excellent, beautiful title as well. Can't say no to the games, no matter the distribution.

I would buy both regardless of how they're sold. I need my Zeldas on Switch. The more the better.
Having everything in one place is great. If WWHD and TPHD ever happen, and if/when the Game Boy line comes to NSO, the only Legend of Zelda games not available on Switch would be Four Swords Adventures, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and of course the four 3DS titles.

Theory:

WW HD and TP HD are released as separate purchases (in special gold boxes) for $39.99 each

SS HD is reissued in a gold box for $39.99 the same day

The same day, Nintendo also releases a special slipcase “Triforce Collection” with all three games in one fancy-looking box for $119.99

So the games are $40 but Nintendo gets us all to spend $120 on both of them anyway, muahahaha

Something I just realized is I haven’t replayed a 3D Zelda since BotW came out. Only BotW.

It’s crazy because it’s been 5 years. BotW just made it hard to think about going back I guess

I should PROBABLY buy Twilight Princess because I haven’t played it since 2006 but….I like Wind Waker wayyyyyyy more (and I bought the Wii U version). I dunno, tough call.

Twilight Princess has the best Zelda dungeons I think. So that is reason enough to replay it. Also, Midna’s Lament is a top 5 Zelda song.

Twilight Princess's dungeon design is top notch, but the overworld of Wind Waker is something special. Honestly, I don't really know which one I prefer, which only makes me want these ports to come even sooner. I used to prefer Twilight Princess by a decent margin, but I honestly don't know anymore. I could easily see Wind Waker overtaking it.

Same thing happened earlier this year. I've always preferred Ocarina of Time, but when I replayed both of the 3D remasters I found myself liking Majora's Mask much more overall.

I've done Skyward Sword HD and Ocarina of Time (NSO with the N64 controller), as well as Link's Awakening (2019, three times). Be great to have more of the series on Switch before too long.
