I sort of think GB/C and GBA apps will be added simultaneously, with GB/C for regular subscribers and GBA for “+ Expansion Pack” subscribers. So 10 games at launch for each system would represent 20 new games being added to the service at once. But you’re right that it definitely could be more (which would be welcome).

I think Nintendo sort of played themselves launching so many SNES games at once, leading some people to lose their shit when the flow of games slowed to a trickle and they were basically left releasing the dregs. It would be better for them to have a long-term plan for a slow roll-out, I think, as much as I want all the games on day one.
My guess would be that it goes something like a big selection across GB/GBC (let's say 20 games, though I'd guess the split favours the og model because it has a much bigger library than Color) and 10 or 12 for GBA, if they launch at the same time. I'd assume GBA gets monthly updates, a little like the N64, because by way of comparison with GB/C, there are 'meatier' games to choose from. I'd assume GB/C functions more like the other systems, where the updates happen perhaps every couple of months with a handful of games coming at a time.

Hopefully there isn't too long to find out...

Literally nobody would have ever predicted "Breath of the Wild". I think we're all used to the title by now but at the time it felt so out of left field.
I think if they didn't reveal the title for BotW1 folks would've guessed something like "Slate of the Shiekah" "Tablet of the Gods". I'm not expecting a title related to anything we've seen in any teaser for this game, I'm anticipating something abstract, or connected to a person / time period (e.g. Twilight Princess, Age of Calamity)

A week from now the Direct's gonna be history already. If it ends up being the thing hinted at, it may take some time to let it all sink in. lol

It’s funny, I haven’t really minded the lack of directs this year as I’ve been pretty content with the steady stream of Switch releases and going through my backlog. But knowing that there could a direct as soon as next week is really kicking those hype thrusters into overdrive and making it hard to wait.

Why is everyone ruling out another game starting luigi?
Did Luigi make this gif?

This is me as well, haha. My backlog is a bit ridiculous, but I can't say or pretend that I'm not looking forward to this presentation - to put it mildly.

Unless the title is "The Legend Of Zelda: You Actually Play As Zelda This Time", I dunno how it could possibly be a spoiler.

Now that you mention it, a lot of people ran with the whole "title is a spoiler" thing. But once I goggled it, I realized nobody actually said that.

What Bill Trinen actually was quoted as saying per IGN:
As for why we’re holding back on the name, you’ll just have to stay tuned because, obviously, Zelda names are kind of important. Those subtitles… they start to give little bits of hints about maybe what’s going to happen.

So like every other Zelda title in existence.

Subtitle guess/idea/spitball: "Heart of the Machine"

Does the thing where the title counterparts BotW, where "heart" parallels "breath" as indicative of life, while "machine" contrasts against "wild." Title refers to Link and whatever cyborging he's got going on there, and potentially whatever the Ganon abomination is. "Machine" would probably be replaced with whatever the proper noun for his condition is, "heart" could be replaced with another related term, but you get the idea
still liking this idea I came up with a while back for a sincere BotW2 title guess

I think Nate should air his predictions podcast over the weekend since if he waits until after they announce it (presumably Monday), that doesn't leave a whole lot of time before its appeal drops off.

The Legend of Zelda: The Hands of Fate
A splendid reimagination of the masterpiece movie « Manos: The Hands of Fate ». In this sequel to Breath of the Wild, the player isn’t in control of Link but of Torgo. Well, « control », at least you must try to, as Torgo is a half-Satyr half-Hylian and is constantly drunk and under LSD. You must try to save Hyrule while the Master is away.

Important : due to the new character and his situation, please note that you won’t be able to perform the following abilities :
- Sprint, Run, Swim, Swing weapons, Use bows, Climb, Ride horses and other animals.

We hope you enjoy this twist on The Legend of Zelda !

Are the Hyrule Warriors and the Fire Emblem Warriors teams the same? I’m wondering what Nintendo Warriors game we’ll see next, Hyrule Warriors 3 (another crossover or more BotW universe), Fire Emblem toothpaste warriors, or some other property

This was (kind of?) how N64 and Genesis were handled, other than being both on the Expansion- N64 launched with nine games, Genesis launched with fourteen, N64 games are one every month, Genesis games are 3-6 every two/three

The Legend of Zelda: The Stuff That Happens

By the way, are we expecting new hardware (Switch Pro or Switch successor)?

I mean... I somehow don't want new hardware. Mainly because I really can't be arsed to try and get another console that's not regularly available on the market, the whole ps5 debacle I had to go through for months was already bad and for that I wasn't even in a hurry but if they release botw2 with it I WILL BE in a hurry.

Sure,it would probably be at least cross platform regardless but I can't play my Zelda on anything but the best hardware it's available on and I also need to play it on Day 1. So if they decide to bundle it with a new system my nerves are doomed... XD

I remember when my leisure was consumed with Direct Speculation. I feel free from it, yet inextricably drawn back every once in a while.

Right now, due to the absolute silence from
Nintendo over the last several months about their future line up (I know there are exceptions), I’m finding myself wondering how there’s even a modicum of sanity in here right now.
