It also would work because I think one of the problems facing StarFox is that it's been stuck in the "StarFox 64" niche for ages now, to the point that some still think that the only way the series can be "good again" is more like it keeps being made.

Adventures and Assault being two decisively non-SF64 styled games that are liked and desired could hopefully be both a nice counter to that train of thought, while also introduce new fans. And if Nintendo somehow isn't already working on a new direction for the series, they'd at least have the opportunity to kick the can down the road a few more years to figure it out.

As an additional bonus, you'd also have a chance to reintroduce Krystal (a character that has been asked about for ages), and hopefully, do it in a much more flattering way, this time.

Personally I think it should lean into its strategy side more, as per Command and Starfox 2.

I'd like Adventures to be remade, Rare understood that Starfox needed to evolve beyond Starfox 64, but good luck convincing Nintendo of that.

You'll get your GameCube games when Nintendo adds it to Switch Online next year and makes you get the Super Expansion Pass for $99 a year!

I would be totally fine with a Switch port of Star Fox Zero. I love the franchise but even I couldn't get my self to play with the Gamepad controls.

I’m curious as to who they’ve got on these various remasters. Might be similar to Advance Wars or Metroid, where they’re experimenting with new developers to see if they’re fit to lead the IP.

another 20 pages since I logged off yesterday wow did something happen or is this just the energy we're bringing in to this direct

tbh, I really worry about Nintendo remastering TTYD and scrubbing out all the grittiness/unique bits (imagine Twilight Town but all with Toads instead), don't have enough trust in that regard and I'd prefer a straight port if possible
Nintendo isn’t going to do that what the heck

Why is everyone talking about cool Gamecube games?

Luigi's Mansion deserves a (real) second shot. It's better than the third game.

Pikmin 2 is best Pikmin.

Star Fox Assault is good, actually.

Paper Mario is just as good as its annoying fans will tell you.

And, of course...#FreeViewtifulJoe.
I have a really difficult time deciding whether I prefer Luigi’s Mansion 1 or 3. Luigi’s Mansion 3 has much more polished game play and there was much more to explore (albeit it was still just a tad to linear for me). However, Luigi’s Mansion 1’s vibe is unmatched. The creepy haunted mansion is much more interesting than a hotel with fantastical floors. Unfortunately, LM1 is just too damn short. Luigi’s Mansion 1 Remake Deluxe, @Emily ? :p

That’s a scary thought but a very real possibility. They did similar things with the M&L remasters iirc

How was Paper Mario in NSO in that regard????

God damn would I love Mario + Luigi games on Switch. I've been a huge Paper Mario fan my whole life, but never experienced this series.

So you're saying that Mario Sunshine's relative failure was just... completely unavoidable? I really, really don't see that as being the case.

Yes since none of Nintendo´s software efforts did exceeding well to begin with on the Gamecube. Mario Sunshine isn´t the outlier

On the positive side at least I get Metroid, cause you know me if I don't get Metroid I will very nicely send a letter to Nintendo telling them how much I appreciate there hard work and how I need Metroid Prime 4 before I die at the age of 31.

Y’all had to suffer through sunshine before, then again on 3d all stars. What are the odds of suffering through a new, individual release?

Paper Mario fans have deluded themselves to the point where they believe Miyamoto is personally going to enter their home and recode their own copies of The Thousand Year Door.

When those games are good, they're some of the best RPGs I've ever played. I hope they do come to Switch.

Kind of a hot take, since no one else seems to like it, but I love the Dream Team art style and I would love to see it in HD.

Would love a Mario&Luigi collection on Switch. Thought that the 3DS remakes looked kinda bad compared to the originals but I think they would look great on Switch (and would run much better).

Woah, cool. Do i have to put out something like a glass of milk and some cookies like the US does for Santa Clause, or is it a more traditional visit, like he's coming at normal times, rings the bell and leaves an autograph after he did his job?

All this talk about GameCube games, I really hope killer7 finally comes over at some point. Feels like it should have happened ages ago.

He just bursts through the front door, recodes your Paper Mario games, flirts with your mom and/or significant other and then leaves. He has plenty more lives to ruin. He aint got time for cookies.

Oh he's free to flirt with my mom, she's single after all.
