What, you didn't see it? It was pretty good; not their best, but had some good quality announcements. That F-Zero crossover with Ace Attorney was WILD though
 
I think I've said this before, but I love how unknown 2023 is right now. Other than BOTW2, we're at the point that 2023 could hold practically anything, and that's exciting from a soon-to-happen-Direct perspective. Depends how much of 2023 they show in it, but I imagine it will be a fair amount given that the rest of this year is pretty much locked.

I haven't been keeping up with things here in a while but happy to know a general direct might be coming soon ! ^^

I recently replayed Link's Awakening and it had me wanting a new 2D Zelda experience...or even a new 2D Mario! I suppose the odds of that are really low though.

But excited for whatever Nintendo has been working on.
 
I'll say this: the one saving grace of having so many "sad Marios" around is that, with so many to choose from, the media has (mostly) stopped using this... thing:

Yeah the only other rumored thing is new FE, other than that we’re unknown

And I guess Prime 4 could land late next year

Metroid Prime Remake is probably the most likely rumored game to appear the next Direct by far.
GBA NSO Reveal with a "play the classic Game Boy Advance game, Metroid Fusion, to know happens to Samus before Metroid Dread, when it launches for the GBA App for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack"
Then a environmental in engine look at beautiful scenarios of Metroid Prime, then a look at Samus high poly with advance lighting and reflections model, maybe her face, just so it starts gameplay and a lot of action. Metroid Prime: Remake is coming November 11th. Learn where it all begins and get into the franchise in preparation for... "Short reveal teaser with some gameplay but little like Zelda BotW 2 trailer or SMO trailer, but shorter" - Metroid Prime 4 is finally releasing in 2023.

Metroid Prime 2 and 3 Remasters are probably not even in the works right now.
Retro finished Prime 1 remake and is HARD at work on Metroid Prime 4 aiming a 2023 release.
I think they'll come very late on Switch's life and be "lower effort remasters". Just think of the difference between how Zelda Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD.

To me TGA is totally off cards. They could've announced Dread way earlier than they did and shown it at the TGAs. Animal Crossing New Horizons was bound to be one of the most important games of all time and it didn't even get a trailer there before its March 20 release.
I think a short teaser of 4 and then Metroid Prime Remake as the "while you wait, get to play one of the best games of all time this holiday" pushed hard game. Like Prime 4 being announced and then Samus Returns. Or BotW 2 announced very early in its development just before a 2D Zelda.
September 2021 brought re-reveals of two flagship late 2022 games(Splatoon 3 and Bayonetta 3), I can only think of September 2022 having a re-reveal of Prime 4 alongside Remakester and another thing for holiday 2023(either 3D Mario or something REALLY out there).
 
Seriously tho years ago I was wondering of a Super Mario Galaxy 2 where it would end with a Mario and Peach wedding on a real life settings and realistic graphics of a city, asphalt, a church, Mario and Peach with wedding outfits, etc...


That's exactly what happened with Odyssey. I can't believe my fanfics all came out true in a single game.
 
I always get confused when certain folks complain about clickbait, criticize those channels, then you see their own channels and it’s all clickbait as well.

99% of Nintendo YouTubers suck. Podcasts are decently better in content tho. More stuff to find in that area.

I listen to podcast from all major console fanbases. The difference of opinions and views is so fascinating. Even the “bad” ones that argue in bad faith and console war, pretty interesting framing of opinions I’ve heard.

I think there can happen a mix of both. While they didn't go beyond "we have nothing to show right now" twice with Zelda with Age of Calamity and the reveal of SS HD, at E3 they shown the trailer for it.
With MP4 it already twice too both having a delay video in 2019 and at Dread's reveal last year.

My theory tho is that beyond lore/story 4 will rely heavily on going back to 1's isolation and attention to little detail, maybe having the story of the first getting referenced more than once and stuff like that. I suppose they can have some kind of side story ala Future Connected or Bowser's Fury that works as kinda "prequel" or "prologue" or maybe "right after Fed Force, this happened, the ending connects to the beginning of Prime 4".

these are not that creative but I'm bored and my inspiration well dried up quite quickly as you can see

I'm not sure about that, I think that MP4 is getting close enough (and it's been long enough since news about it) that they won't do any Metroid news at all without at least mentioning MP4 like they did with Dread. But I can totally see a quick MP4 teaser followed by MP1 segment; neither one would have to be all that long or anything.

Isolation will certainly be the main point, but with a very modernized flair. Imo


A 2002 game disguised as a new 2024 game would never fly, especially with metroid.
