probably waiting until Gen 9 starts proper before delving into the spinoffsI miss when presentations had spin-offs announced for consoles and not just updates for the same handful of mobile games.
I hate that too. I would have never sit down and watch news about any of these mobile spin offs in the first place, but the cafe mix one was particularly iiritating with the "tips" section; felt so dragged out and unnecessary.I miss when presentations had spin-offs announced for consoles and not just updates for the same handful of mobile games.
That’s why you can also designate “easy” and “hard” gym leaders. Like there’s going to be a gym leader whose Pokemon would never go below level 40. Stuff like that. It’s really a matter of implementation.I would argue against both (and some are certainly not communicating the former explicitly).
Running to an end game area, somehow surviving, then finding out that the local boss has a level 10 Pansage isn’t fun. It crushes any immersion in the world you may have, and flattens out the experience so that basically everyone has the same experience (with a few tweaks here and there).
Nah I’m definitely thinking of Skyrim, I didn’t like the scaling in that game. Are you thinking of Oblivion? Cause Skyrim actually had a really good level scaling for what the game was going for.
Dang that Pokedex is looking classy.
"seen" was changed to "battled"
Lechonk also has 1 evo
for single type mons, they become the new type. so eevee would be water only. dual types, we don't know yetI'm really loving what we saw and that new mechanic, even though the game looks a bit rough overall (especially while playing XC3) but it's not like I expected much more on current hardware.
Not sure about one thing though: does Terastal activation completely replace a Pokémon's type(s) to its Terastal type (only retaining original type(s) for potential STAB), or does it add that new Terastal type?
Maybe a concrete example will illustrate my question better: say Eevee has a Water Terastal type, upon activation, does it become Normal/Water or only Water (but still retaining a STAB on Normal attacks)?
not surprising since the game is doing a lot more than LegendsI thought the aliasing was really distracting in the trailer, so I tried pixel counting a couple of shots, and they're 720p.
it was bad in the final game too. shit's fuckin rawLegends anti-aliasing was also pretty bad in marketing pre-launch. I'd give this some time.

unless you're asking for those collaborating companies to take point in development and designing, I don't think it's gonna help. there are a lot of hands on Pokemon as is. timelines and tools seem to be the biggest bottleneck hereGame Freak really needs a collaborator who can handle greater ambition tbh. I think either Bamco or Monolith Soft would be great for them. The latter is occupied with other matters granted, but still.
From what I can tell, GF has never attempted to make another large scale project with all the Pokémon money, and they're much happier doing small scale stuff like Tembo.

they should let another developer make a mainline-style pokemon game
there's a reason they were capable of doing thatUbisoft was able to pump out a content-stuffed open world game every year at one point. Sure, they were repetitive as hell, but that's the kind of timeline Pokémon could use if they really want the consistent 2-3 year schedule.

That'll probably just lead to a Star Wars sequel trilogy case.
I'm expecting a new trailer this week like the one during SS's marketing phase
Not necessarily a trailer, right? Could just be some small standalone revealnew trailer on Sunday

Didn't they take forever to do starter evos during Sword and Shield? I know Sun and Moon they were leaked before the reveal, but I don't remember last gen.starter evos starter evos starter evos starter evos starter evos
im willing it into existence
IIRC didn't they never officially reveal the start evos last Gen? We only saw them in leaks a week or two before launch.Didn't they take forever to do starter evos during Sword and Shield? I know Sun and Moon they were leaked before the reveal, but I don't remember last gen.
