They've also had big sales weeks before that did not coincide with a Direct so, as far as we know, it might only happen in March.
I mean we have very strong reason to believe it will not be in March, firstly that directs have been in Feb pretty consistently in the Switch era and that they have multiple early March games to advertise and also that they have no games dated after Kirby

And if it has to be Feb, a lot of evidence is pointing strongly to this week

In the previous thread I had made a direct prediction, given a things that have happened since then and after giving it more thought, I now present my final direct prediction.

The direct will air on February 9th at 6pm EST.

- The direct will open with a black screen and slowly a text starts to fill it out saying 'Unidentified distress beacon has been tracked to a derelict space vessel in orbit above Tallon IV." Cuts to a 30 second trailer of Metriod Prime Remake announced for fall 2022.

- Yoshiaki Koizumi greets us and asks us what we think. He then proceeds to tell us, that is not all we have to show for Metroid fans today, please take a look at this snaps fingers

- Metroid Dread is getting DLC, 2 new areas and difficulty settings. Will be released immediately after the direct.

- Triangle Strategy final trailer + new demo that carries over to final game.

- Fantasian is coming to Nintendo Switch summer 2022

- Bully - The Definitive Edition summer 2022.

- Splatoon 3 gets a 5 min trailer + global test fire. Battle Royale mode announced. Will launch on May 27th

- Kirby and the Forgotten Land - new trailer, new transformations, big gameplay surprise shown,

- Fall Guys trailer and it is coming immediately after the direct.

- Mario Party Superstars DLC expansion pass announced. Will include 4 new boards, 8 new characters to be released over the course of a year. The DLC will be free to NSO subscribers and will cost 19.99 if purchased separately.

- Advance Wars 1+2 trailer and the game looks significantly better! Launches April 8th.

- New Pushmo game available immediately after the direct for Switch online + expansion pass members.

- Dragon Quest 3 HD2D remake confirmed for Switch. 2022. No release day.

- Final Fantasy pixel remaster coming to Switch spring 2022. Collectors edition announced with all games included on the cartridge.

- Final Fantasy XIII coming to Switch in summer of 2022

- Tales of Arise (cloud version)- Summer 2022

- Fire Emblem: Three Houses sequel July 15th 2022

- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - August 26th 2022

- Koizumi comes back on screen and tells there is one more thing he would like to show us.

- Mario Kart X - Holiday 2022

side note: my heart wants to see Zelda so badly, but I feel like we will see it a separate event. Or we get an announcement that it has been delayed and they gives TP and WW
Metroid Prime Remakester, Dread DLC, Mario Party DLC, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, and Mario Kart would easily be a top 2 Direct for me. And that's not even considering seeing our first huge look at Splatoon 3 or any third parties. Plus more delightful Kirby.

Someone please tell me where my hype meter should be!!

I want to believe, but I also want to have my expectations in check.

it was discussed, and someone posted multiple other sales posts of the exact same nature being posted in direct weeks before

If the Direct actually happens this week I'll stream the entirety of Ocarina of Time in 1 go first chance I get

Edit: by entirety I mean just start to finish not 100% lmao

I remember people doing summoning rituals with merchandise arranged into pentagrams and stuff. Anyone up for making one of those for Zelda? 😇

(my level of merchandise owning unfortunately may not be sufficient for a full pentagram)

It won't be in March because Triangle Strategy comes out March 4. It's a game that would benefit immensely from exposure in a Direct and will likely get another demo before release. Nintendo is publishing the game too so they will give it a decent marketing push. That's the sole reason why I'm not buying March for a Direct this year.

Damn I didn't post it until December 13th, that's only like 3 months ago. I feel much less impressive now.

Can confirm @Skittzo didn't edit the post at all...... sniped that fucker from 2 months away

My authenticator code for my work VPN started with 666 today. You know what that means? Devil May Cry 6(66) is being announced for Switch this week.
