I know the gaming merch raffle is over, but I figured I'd post what I spent this morning building :D The Sonic set is amazing. A bit repetitive (the checkered squares aren't very fun lol), but it's so nice to look at. I even quite like the Eggman model, even if it is a bit weird.

I just love this self own. Why would anyone involved in the scam think saying this publicly would be a good idea.



If you read the article/interview, all the quotes are equally brazen including how Ubisoft really wanted to not tell anyone what exactly they were buying. Was glad to hear last week I think it has been a failure for Ubisoft so far. Hope we can kick NFT’s out of gaming entirely and then altogether. Seems more celebrities lately are being paid to endorse them which sucks.

I cannot believe that the only argument for NFTs that the abuse enablers in Ubisoft can come up with is that it can create secondary markets that allow you to sell your items and skins to other players when that's something that you can do since FUCKING FOREVER smh my head. The fucking nerve on these fucking assholes. Fuck Ubisoft.

Nobody argued Pikmin shouldn't be made internally, I think? Or did I miss something?

Personally I think EPD expansion is good news for Pikmin.

I was upset that nobody makes games like Might and Magic anymore so I tried to make it myself. It's not my fault if I have zero time and skill.

Anyway the point is, if you want a game like Pikmin and nobody is making it, do it yourself!

I get the disappointment: people waiting for some EPD projects have been starving a little lately. Imagine being a 2D Mario or Mario Kart fan. „They only do one per system, and NSMBUDX is the one for Switch. MK8DX is your Mario Kart for this system.“

Got up early this morning and went out to pick up a copy of Legends Arceus for my girlfriend before she woke up (my copy is digital, she prefers physical)

REALLY excited for this work day to be over haha

lol this reminds me of playing Ori and the Blind Forest. This happened constantly in that game. At some point while playing the game I realized this was happening because the game actually didn't have a lot to really explore, despite the metroidvania label (outside of one optional area that felt pretty disjointed from the rest of the map). Every time I got to a split path I'd realize that if I had went the other way I'd be met with a dead-end that would've forced me to go this way anyway to flip a switch or something. I was really happy that changing this seemed to be a priority with Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and they did a great job.

I'm irrationally sad about this. I loved seeing Sega everywhere while I was in Japan, and when people in the west would talk about what a failure Sega has been I used to be able to say "but go to arcades and entertainment districts in Japan and they're royalty." But now, not even that.

If it's any consolation, when you get to worrying that they aren't making the games you want anymore then just remember: some of us are still waiting for Chrono Break.
 
I was gonna comment in the thread last night, but y'all were having such an entertaining conversation that I didn't want to interupt it, baha! 🤣

I have finished Lost Ember and Celeste in the past week, so that's two more games marked off my backlog!

Lost Ember was a really sweet game. The game has some stutters and the voice acting could be a tad better, but in the end I felt very attached to the wolf and the orb companion, and there were a couple truly memorable moments in the story! The ending also left me breathless. I would absolutely recommend Lost Ember if you're looking for a short atmospheric game with very light puzzle-solving to play!

And Celeste... Man, where do I begin? It was amazing! I did not expect such a simple gameplay design to be so addictive. The story was also fantastic. I love how Madeline and Badeline's companionship unfolds! I can easily see myself returning to this game to collect more Strawberries. Also, I'm listening to the OST on my break right now. So good. "Ressurections" is a bop and a half.

Also, very excited for my copy of Arceus to arrive tonight!! I am so going for Cyndaquil first, my beloved fire starter~

Welcome to the club! Actually (other than the fucking pandemic), 30s have been just as good as the 20s. I can already tell 40s will not be the same as my aged body begins to break down from the most mundane of tasks.
