Anyone know whether there has been a reprint of the animal crossing welcome amiibo cards (the ones with the RV's). A local store has them in stock since today but for 3 x msrp, not sure to jump on it or the wait untill they get in stock in other stores for a 'normal' price. I've never seen a reprint of this set up to now.

Looks like there has been a reprint of these recently in EU countries.
 
So... cool we're getting a N64 game somewhat regularly, but where are the NES, SNES and Genesis games?

If Nintendo had one game for all the four systems a month, that certainly would soften the blow
 
So do y'all think the PS5 will be shipped with alternative plates/controllers by the end of the year or should I just bite the bullet and waste £100 or so on what should have been the default?
 
Death's Door is a 2d Zelda like? Kind of just assumed it was a roguelite with dungeons. Guess I'll have to look into it. Surprised I haven't heard the 2d Zelda comparison before.

I've seen that comparison a bunch but I can't really say I'd agree with that. It's not like you'd unlock many items that help you with puzzles or something like that, it's much more like Hyper Light Drifer and even then not as good imo.

Watch party with friends for Book of Boba Fett and Lost, maybe some more Halo Infinite Attrition (played it last night; I suck ass and it made me rage but I want the dumb neon mohawk that's so blindingly garish).

Also building my own hay rack for my rabbit because the one I bought is absolute trash

Mega Drive got an update one week after the N64 in December, so we might see that happen again. That being said, they did 5 MD games in that update, so I'm not sure how frequent these updates will be.

No idea on NES and SNES; they haven't updated either system since the end of July.

Watching Lost with a friend group would be a ton of fun. I know that parts of the show got shit on a lot (sometimes for good reason!) but it still had a lot of great moments in it, and some of the most WTF season finales of any show I've ever seen.
 
No hate, but after Legends.. I kinda hope there's no more Pokémon games this year. It's been on heavy rotation since the release of Sword & Shield
7 games and Two major DLC's in a little more than two years.

It's getting very expensive buying them all for my kids :p

Lord it is a shitshow 😂 The one friend who recommended it hasn't seen beyond half of season 3. Me and the rest didn't watch it at all during the cultural zeitgeist. So we want to be finishing the show together at the very least

We're all hooked, but some keep jumping ahead because they can't wait, it's pretty much me and my friend who recommended it trying to wait for everyone else, but we've had to berate them incessantly to make them wait so we can all enjoy the same reactions together. So now I'm still behind, need to catch up on episodes 7 and 8 of season 1, and then we watch episode 9 onwards tonight.

But also Disney+ has groupwatch on damn near every platform imaginable...except PS4, so since everyone else either has a smart TV or Xbox, I get to choose between a 27" monitor on my PC or attempt to manually sync the stream on my PS4 and also have it stream on my phone simultaneously 😂

Fucking hell Mickey, you clearly have the cash, so why isn't group watch on PS4? Let alone Switch because Netflix isn't doing jackshit the useless cowards

Admittedly I am bracing myself for what might be a disappointing series finale, but I hope I can easily find the deleted scenes/alternate ending on YouTube that kinda rectifies those mistakes.

But man I just want to know so bad what the hell it is stalking the island that can knock over trees so casually. (Don't tell me; I'm sure they'll get around to it eventually)

Locke is the hero (but I don't trust him), Jack ain't shit who doesn't know women and is so clueless, and holy fuck Sawyer you're an absolute fuckwit, I can't wait til they vote you off the island and feed you to the gators

The Genesis side seems to have minimal advertising licensing outside of launch trailers considering the last one was a shadow drop so it’ll drop when it drops

I have my two hour infusion today. Most of the other patients are noticeably older than me. Most just nap, browse on their laptops, or listen to music. I think I'm the only one who ever pulls out a Switch to play. So I feel really young and out of place

And I'm gonna be really out of place when I'm sitting there playing Banjo Kazooie!

For sure. I had been holding out on Earthbound (even if it was unlikely), but ended up caving and starting on 3DS.

As a side note, I’m probably 5ish hours in and really enjoying it!

If they're a good one, they'll give frequent updates, and you'll get what you paid for within their expected timeline (or, again if they're good, be upfront and honest about any delays). Only projects I've backed were Super Troopers 2, HD Retrovision cables for my Sega Genesis and an Avatar Tabletop Role Playing Game. Honestly I got my money's worth out of the first two, and I'm feeling super confident about Avatar. Enjoy the ride and hopefully whatever it is you backed you get in your hands before long!

Lord knows I'm excited, but also all this conspiracy and subterfuge I really don't know what to expect. It's all flashback episodes right now but I imagine when they really get into the meat and potatoes it's gonna be a roller coaster that is going full speed before you even get to the top haha

It's kinda fun when things work out. Luckily, all 3 projects I've backed have come to fruition.

Alas, 2 of them turned out to be complete shit once completed (Shenmue III and this random board game we played once then never again).

I only ever backed the flipgrip, which already had the production center lined up and mocks for the actual casings. Felt pretty confident that would get finished, which it did.

Yeah I backed the Marvel Zombies game and that’s getting produced anyway.

Zombiecide sounds fun and I like the first two Marvel Zombies books as fun pulp. I just want to snack on people with Zombie Hulk lol.

In my experience, folks who came to LOST late (like you and, incidentally, me!) have a lot less of a strong reaction to the finale. I loved it and teared up multiple times.

Enjoy the ride! Once you get towards the end of season 3 it is hard to stop, and then it is over before you know it.
 
I backed Hero-U and never redeemed my PC code either, bought it on Switch instead.

Man I miss being obsessed with that show. I will tell you, it was excruciating waiting a week for a new episode. They do cliffhangers like nothing else...
