There's Enigma Archives: Rain Code from Danganronpa creators with no target platforms attached but I'm praying that Switch to be one. Hope SC wouldn't make a mistake like skipping Switch for a game whose genre's home is Switch.

Not sure if I trust Suda on this one. Could come up and say a cliche bullshit like "Nintendo audience loves retro shit so they get NMH and nothing more". Lately many games that makes the most sense on Switch have been skipping Switch, so I'll always have doubts.
I would be shocked if Enigma Archives dosen't come to Switch. The fact that SC ported the whole Danganronpa trilogy AND an exclusive (probably timed) spin off game to the Switch is a massive statement itself.

They're definitely 100% on board with the Switch now especially considering what the market looks like in Japan.

They’re re-releasing the Siren model kit from Xenoblade 2 in July 2022. It was first released in 2018. Along with it came some new additional lore details about the world’s origin. I don’t know if it was re-released in previous years, but if not, then the timing is peculiar especially with rumors circulating about a new Xenoblade being announced this year. I dunno, I’m probably overthinking this lol.

The first droplet of info we got for horse game being “everyone internally lowkey thinks it’s shit” is kinda unprecedented. Feel bad for any of the devs who may have caught wind of the discussion lol, it’ll be interesting to Fami’s impressions when it’s revealed and released considering we already have a negative bias against it

If everyone thought a internally developed game at Nintendo was shit, it would have been canned long before we ever hear of it.

Nintendo cancelled Metroid prime 4s initial development, there's no way a game that is bad would actually make it to announcement.

Perhaps. What it most likely means is that people at NoA think it's terrible, and that's even worse. That would be a very unfortunate rumor to get back to Japan.

What's the horse game?

Nobody is sure what it actually is, mind you.

That is probably also the game Emily was talking about on Twitter in terms of how it will be received critically, right?

Probably something along the lines of 1-2 Switch in terms of expected reception I'd guess going by the comments. It's not like that is an anomaly.

If everyone at NOA actually thinks it's terrible then they'll have probably conveyed that to NCL anyway. Maybe not in those terms but I'm pretty sure part of NOA's functions include market testing for the American audience.

NCL: "So, how did you like Everybody's Horseperson Switch :)?"
NOA:

I'm putting my chips on Everybody Switch, the unofficial 1-2 Switch Sequel

(Please don't let the other Mario title yet to be announced for this year be MvDK, I know it's the only Mario spinoff from the Wii U/3DS era not to receive a Switch entry but please Nintendo, don't do it)

Mario vs Donkey Kong - hell yes.

Anything minis - no thanks.

I want to see the new DK game. I’ve been watching some DKCTF footage and remembering how amazing the game is. My hype is really high for a new DK game.

It's gotta be just joking or exaggerating.

This is probably the biggest gaming news story in the last decade or two, nothing is gonna top it this week.
Yeah he'll give it a few more hours to blow up and get attention, then announce whatever it is he has to promote and clarify that it was a joke

I could spitball bigger:

-McDonald's buys Sony
-Kirby comes to Fortnite on all consoles
-Elder Scrolls 6 is actually GTA 6
-Mario Kart 9 is actually the friends we made along the way
-Miyamotto never actually made Mario, the guy doesn't even know how to code

Yeah wasn't Miyamoto more of an art/concept guy? I remember he drew a lot of the old Mario stuff himself, and he and Tezuka hand-drew a lot of levels on graph paper for the programmers to then translate into code.

The original Super Mario Brothers wasn't even coded by Nintendo if I remember correctly, but by a contractor that later went in-house.

...the shit? Damn I honestly thought he did some of it himself, at least back in the day

He also drew all of the original Punch-Out (Arcade) boxers I believe. But yeah he's an artist/designer. I actually really like his art, to the point where I stole adopted how he draws big toothy grins (bean shape with plus signs in it)

OH OH OH

What if Whitta's tease of bigger game industry news is the official reveal of a Hyrule Land at Universal?
I don't actually expect this, I'm just reaching for fun

How about a Nintendo movie/Netflix Direct? Nintendo going big into 2022 with the first Mario movie trailer and phase one of their own MCG*.

That will make the M$ story look like child play! /s

*Mario Cinematic Galaxy
