22Q4 - Metroid Prime: Remastered, Expansion Pack Update (Year 2 of N64/Genesis games, Splatoon 3 DLC, GB/GBC apps)

Zelda BotW 2 and Xenoblade's development progress will determine the rest of the release schedule. They will decide in Q2 if those games will make 2022. Right now they are optimistic for at least Zelda. 2D Donkey Kong and Zelda port(s) will fill the gap, if needed.

2023 - Pencil them in, some will probably get delayed

Nintendo is okay going heavy on Switch games in the time leading up to the Switch successor because it is backwards compatible and because with chip shortages they are not sure when they will have a decent supply anyway. 3D Mario and new Mario Kart are in development but for the Switch successor.
 
I'm like genuinely petrified to play a text adventure game. What the hell. This is one of the most unsettling game experiences I've ever had

Trying out my graphics card with random games and launched Half-Life 2 for a quick 5 minute test, but ended up replaying it for 3 hours.

Still one of the greatest, most engrossing video games ever made.

Oh shit I forgot the trailer is supposed to premiere tonight, right? I saw a commercial for the trailer the other day I suppose because we live in an ad-obsessed corporate nightmare.

Btw if Nintendo doesn't release a new Direct soon I'll lose my ability to breathe

Just think, since we're likely to be getting both a Direct and a Playstation State of Play in the next ~month or so, that's two big chances for Chrono Cross to show up!

Reminds me a bit of Legion, without the 70's-esque stylization.

Which is to say, I'm definitely interested (and not dead from the aforementioned text adventure game but I think I'm gonna call it quits with that game, it's freaky as all hell)

I have yet to reach the point of MCU burnout that I see a lot of others expressing, matter of fact I'm more excited to see what they do with characters/stories in a post-RDJ universe. Moon Knight should be good just based on Isaac's involvement alone.

Re-reading it, it's perfectly clear and I was probably just reading it too fast (gotta read fast) and the part of my brain that wanted to make pun-tastic birthday jokes took over 😆
 
Well after a few marathon sessions while watching the playoffs, I have beaten Captain Toad again! I did everything except for finding all of the 8-bit Toads. I don't have nearly enough patience for that right now lol. Still a great game and it makes me want Captain Toad 2 even more.

Honestly, now I want to play Odyssey again lol
 
I’ve said it before but despite the funky direction choice they made, I’m happy about the Mario line for these satisfying (even if sometime simple) character builds that keep all the charm while being distinctly Lego. Especially this Bowser, he’s awesome

GAF is short for Gaming Age Forums. The Era is ResetEra was inspired by the Age in the GAF name. Age and Era are two words for the same definition while also being a reference to the forums. GAF, an acronym, ruins this dichotomy. I made a similar post back on Era and someone too attempted to "fix" it because they too didn't understand. Why do I need to explain the obvious?!
 
I’ve been playing Chicory on and off on Switch and wanted to share some thoughts. Mainly, it’s great! You are a little dog given a paintbrush to repaint a world completely drained of color. The overworld is like an old school 2D Zelda game divided into tiles. There are light puzzles to solve and fun characters to meet. I don’t think you have to at all, but I’m having fun filling in the backgrounds and drawing pictures here and there. I’m barely in chapter 3, but I like the story so far. The main character is very unsure of themselves, but is determined to do their best which I enjoy.

On Switch, it has a normal button/sticks control scheme as well as joy con and touch screen support. I’ve been using a stylus for the most part and the sticks when I want precision. I’ve never been an artist, so I do find all the drawing and coloring to be a bit exhausting after a while. So while I can’t marathon it, I’m still having lots of fun playing an hour or so at a time. I’d definitely recommend it so far!
 
If Nintendo is closing the eshops on those systems, expect plenty of advanced notice. They gave 16 months notice for the Wii Shop channel. Also, the Wii Shop channel closed THREE years ago!! Time moves way too quickly.

Only Square’s NFT new years letter is more disappointing than this. If they wanted cloud versions of 2.8 and 3 fine, but 1.5 and 2.5 should have been native ports.
