Kirby on March 25th being followed by Advance Wars on April 8th would guarantee I buy two games that aren't RPGs in a matter of weeks. This may well cause Nintendo to adjust their release schedule and replace Advance Wars with Xenoblade or Fire Emblem.

Arceus in about 2 weeks, Elden Ring next month, Triangle Strategy and now Kirby in March. Good thing i have loooooots of leftover holiday days from last year.

what should i play next?

- mario 64 from 3D all stars
or
- skyward sword HD
Mario 64 since you can beat it relatively quickly. Then you can transition right into skyward sword which will take 40 hours or more.

I assume picross S7 was downloaded on the Japanese eshop so you are done with that already?

So what do we think the casual sequel is peeps?

Also on a sidenote, I don't exactly know how much Emliy knows but the tweet above the one I linked here mentioning there should be very few delays has given me a big confidence boost for BOTW2 in 2022.

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival 2: Everybody's Stinky Horse

It's the horse stinker game. "Everybody's horse stinker"

I think it's locked at 30FPS, a few drops but nothing game breaking.
The video was uploaded in 1080p/60fps
+ the following scene show that the game is not capped at 30fps:

  • Camera movement 00:21
  • waddle dee at 00:44
  • capsule opening at 00:52
  • Kirby running in the desert area at 01:21

All of these scenes look far smoother and are imo 60fps. Its very weird

Earlier this week I said something offensive and hurtful and I'd take this opportunity to apologize.

To clarify, I claimed, in a heated moment, that Banjo-Kazooie's popularity is solely based on their googly eyes. I want to take that back and amend my statement. What I meant to say, and it's not easy to admit this, is that people like Banjo-Kazooie exclusively because of that gulp ah-hyuckI sound he makes when getting a jiggy. I see now my mistake and hope we can collectively move on from this. To whomever was hurt by this, my deepest apologies.

Arrogant Nintendo sitting completed versions of Breath of the Wild 2, Mario Odyssey 2, Xenoblade 3, Metroid Prime 4, Mario Kart 9, and Pikmin 4 for the past two years while mooching off Mario Kart 8 sales and we suffer for it.

Must be running on the pro

Everybody Sports - a casual stinker from the six people at Camelot Software Planning who didn't work on Mario Golf

Sports featured - horse riding, water polo

Number of horses - 1

Number of courses - 1 for horses, 1 for water polo

Target audience: everybody!

That would also explain why Tooie is less popular

yeah, i finished it the day it came out in the NA eshop lol

no
handheld only

Hmm, probably Mario 64 then. Skyward Sword's stick controls are okay (better than the motion controls IMO) but the small sticks on the Joy Cons make them more difficult. As @Barely Able said 64 is also shorter
Handheld is not as good for skyward sword, but you can cheese some of the mini games and battles with the stick control. It’s actually not that bad, just that motion is so integral to the game design it’s easier with full range of motion.

Using the < and > keys to advance the video by one frame at a time, it seems like the only 60fps scene in this trailer is the capsule opening. All of the others you mentioned, plus every other scene I tried, seemed to be 30fps using the same method.

I saw that transition too, but for the most part it feels like the gameplay is at 30FPS.

Think you just joined recently, so to give a non-memey clarification to the Stinker Horseperson talk, this is something Emily's talked about on here before.

The known clues are that some Nintendo employees seem to think it's a stinker, it may involve a horse person, it may have "Everybody" in the title and it's not a series, just a sequel to a one-off. Personally, I'm leaning towards a 1-2 Switch sequel but there's a lot of guesses out there

Everybody Switch!

This time with a horse milking mini-game

And online multiplayer, because Everybody!

Thank you. As someone who claims Banjo-Kazooie is their "soul game", I appreciate this growth on your part. Thanks for understanding.

I'm just saying: they're making Kirby Yakuza

Everybody Switch! not only has online multiplayer, but also features mini games were different players have different tasks. Every now and again the Everybody Switch! gong sounds and everybody switches roles.

This is especially important in horse milking, where some players milk the horse and other players groom the horse to help it relax.

My preference for the control schemes is:

Pro Controller > Handheld >> Motion

I found the motion controls really awful. The stick controls were not great but anything is better than the motion controls.

Yeah I played Skyward Sword HD recently and basically:

Pro-Controller (buttons-only but with Gyro Aim) > Joy-cons (buttons-only) > Joy-cons (motion)

I feel really bad saying that since I liked motion controls sometimes and wanted to give the game a fair chance. The general gist of it is that, learning how to use context sensitive actions is much easier in motion controls, but the inconsistency in registration as well as how poorly feedback is communicated with motions versus an analog stick make it really hard to recommend.

I was switching between motion controls and button-only controls with gyro for about half of my playthrough more or less, and eventually I just gave up and decided to go with stick and buttons.

Everybody Switch Horses

That new Kirby trailer is looking so damn good that I have never wished more for Nintendo to have actual challenge in their platformers.

My kids will go absolutely bonkers over it.
