I mean it is based off old D20 TTRPG logicI am so damn tired today. Just another 3 or 4 hours of work, though, and then I can switch my brain off and let KOTOR's outdated combat guide me through the evening. It's boring, and hilarious when you're blasting right next to someone and the laser's flying all around them, but it's actually kind of peacable and low-key enough for me to go ahead with when fatigued.
And thus, the prophecy is complete.

Made it back on Sunday, turned out solid tho I wish I had distributed the sauce better
Yeah, I know. Results in some very, very funny looking fight scenes. Not quite as funny as NPCs wandering in and out of view during dialogue, though.I mean it is based off old D20 TTRPG logic
Actually it’s not that bad, it’s just a couple lbs of chicken, a can of pillsbury grands(cut and partially cooked before adding), a full bottle of bbq sauce and a bag of mozzarellaOh god looking at it is giving me heartburn but it looks so worth it.
I want to revisit KOTOR, especially since I left my most recent save unfinished when I gave my PC to my brother.
I'm just busy with other stuff
what if we’re having a rough week and haven’t had particularly interesting food to report on?Reminder that there is a $5 eShop card raffle ongoing in this thread, all you need to do is post a picture of food and some comments about why/when/what you cooked/ate/saw it.

There's no time frame limit for the food, if you have a picture of something you cooked 10 year ago that works.what if we’re having a rough week and haven’t had particularly interesting food to report on?
I baked with my mum few weeks ago and we (she did the most since she's professional lol) baked salted caramel eclairs.Reminder that there is a $5 eShop card raffle ongoing in this thread, all you need to do is post a picture of food and some comments about why/when/what you cooked/ate/saw it.

KOTOR is one of those games that I started around 2010/2011 and said "this is pretty cool. I'll have to really play it one day."
Still waiting on that day to come lol

I'm not sure whether I want to continue SMTV. I thought I'd be able to 'tough it out' but I think that I'm just not a big a fan of the gameplay in JRPGs as I thought I was, and I don't think the world and such is exciting enough to put in the 35+ hours necessary. I'm starting to think that I'm just not a JRPG person, and the rare exceptions are that way because of other aspects that most JRPGs don't have (e.g. Persona and its style/story, Yakuza: LAD and it being, well, Yakuza). It doesn't help that the often sub-30fps framerate and blurry graphics are a hard thing to go back to, even if the main gameplay isn't 'active.'
It's kind of led me to another New Year's Resolution, that being to not force myself to play games I'm not into. And not to buy games that I know I probably won't be able to get into. It's so easy to fall into the trap of buying games just because "everyone else is," but it's really not necessary...
...it's part of why I think "list war," style rhetoric is actively harmful to a lot of discourse on how people are 'allowed' to feel about a console's library... but I digress lol
At least the game seems to be holding its value so I can get a decent amount for trade-in

I recently got into baking and my mum is teaching me all kinds of desserts. It's really fun and it feels amazing when you feed people you care/love. So far, I can make few cakes, cinnamon rolls, apple/strawberry/lemon curd turnovers and lots of Arabian desserts such as Ashta. Those look fantastic!
I've been getting into baking myself but I'm way too nervous to attempt pate a choux, I hate that it doesn't give you exact amounts and you need to really eyeball it. I like baking specifically because I'm great at following instructions.
Those eclairs look awesome though so I may have to give it a try.
"BOTW moment" doesn't mean "it's an open world game where you can do anything"Was just listening to Game Informer's Most Anticipated Games of 2021 podcast and they wrote off Kirby FL as Kirby trying to have its BoTW moment. Between that and Legends, seems the general public's understanding of what these games are is way off base lol
It should be treated as a good thing, not something you write off, though."BOTW moment" doesn't mean "it's an open world game where you can do anything"
"BOTW moment" means "fundamental reinvention that totally changes how you see the series"
Forgotten Lands looks nothing like BotW

oh that's just them showing they have no idea what they're talking about@Derachi I agree with you, but I didn't correctly represent their discussion with that phrase.
to directly quote them "let's take kirby and put him in an open world - what do we do with that? I don't know."
which is not what the game appears to be, at all
oh that's just them showing they have no idea what they're talking about
cool
well it's not like informing people about games is their job or anything lol

Best of all, it's cheaper and tasteir than desserts from shops and restaurants.
personally all I can think of is the DAWI cannot shorten Kirby Forgotten Lands to Kirby FL and not think it's talking about Kirby in Florida.
I am aware Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still selling very well on the Nintendo Switch, but Mario Kart 9 is in active development (and comes with a new twist) and Nintendo could tease it this year. On mobile, Nintendo has been very silent since Mario Kart Tour's launch in 2019, but I think 2022 is when we will see an established IP arriving on smart devices again.
