What if this event from a update ties with a new 1st party developed Super Mario game?
Super Mario Odyssey 2?
I think I've seen Rebirth or something else with "Re" flying around... might've just been the Prime 4 thread on here thoughWhat have we seen so far for MP4? Extinction and Void, I think? Any others we've seen?
Multiple things that stand out is:Another fake direct from 4chan, seems that people are hungry for a real direct soon lol
There's almost no way they remake 1 Tellius game and remaster the other. If you're remaking one, especially if it adds new characters, you're remaking both.I'll be more than pleased with an HD remaster of Radiant Dawn as opposed to a remake. The only things I want them to add are QoL features like the option to skip the enemy phase and speed up battle animations (and since they added those to the FE 1 port I am 100% sure that any kind of future re-releases of past titles will have them as well, even if it's just a port) and some supports (like 1 or 2 for every character, go for all killer no filler).
As for Path of Radiance, my dream is a remake in the same vein as Persona 3 Reload: something that mainly updates the graphics, animations, and gameplay but doesn't change the story that much, only adding events and scenes to flesh out what's already there. I am sure in the event of a more high-effort remake, IS will feel the urge to add some new characters, but considering that out of all the new faces they introduced across the 3 remakes they already made only Berkut from SoV was a worthwhile addition in my opinion, I hope they don't bother.
Obviously, the unlocalized titles should take precedence over the Tellius duology, and I realistically don't expect them to do more than emulated port hybrids for those games, but I can dream.
That FE title is just begging for Castlevania jokesAnother fake direct from 4chan, seems that people are hungry for a real direct soon lol
Honestly I’d jive with holy whip bearers just to add another weapon type in an already messy multi-trilemma, but it’d be better served in a new game anywaysThat FE title is just begging for Castlevania jokes
Considering how Engage and Heroes takes Echoes as the name (Shadows of Valentia is the subtitle to match with もうひとりの英雄王, Emblem of Echoes, World of Echoes etc) to represent Gaiden/Valentia, I’m inclined to say that I wouldn’t really expect Echoes as an ongoing reference for remakes (and we can’t make a pattern out of a single instance anyways)Fire Emblem doesn't have the "Echoes" name that everyone has assumed will be Nintendo's way of marketing FE remakes.
Yeah, I acknowledge that it would not make sense to do it that way. My idea was to outline the baseline of what I would be okay with for both games in the event of them being re-released in any form. At the end of my comment, I specified that my realistic expectations for both are ports anyway. There's almost no way they remake 1 Tellius game and remaster the other. Even one metroid appearance in a fake direct leak is enough to cause suspicion. I admire their confidence. They dare to dream the impossible dream. I want to believe.Showing four Metroid games in a single Direct is the kind of ambition I applaud in a "leak".
That Ace Attorney title is a real snoozer unless it's for a Lawyer Fighting Game.Another fake direct from 4chan, seems that people are hungry for a real direct soon lol
Can't have both Chrono Trigger and Metroid in a single Direct. The biggest problem with this list is there's no Chrono Trigger
Nate will hear whispers for a new month.I have to assume that we'll start to hear some whispers and rumors again within the next few weeks - GDC is happening next week and will have a lot of developers and media around and talking about things even if a lot is just whispers, Princess Peach will be out next week, and the end of the fiscal year is in just over two weeks.
Why, because I'm not allowed to be happy? Can't have both Chrono Trigger and Metroid in a single Direct.
The Space-Time-Direct-Continuum would collapse. Why, because I'm not allowed to be happy?
That’s why 1-10 should get remade. Awakening onwards is when most people started playing Fire Emblem. For them remakes of 1-10 would be new games.Okay, but this would take like eight years to do, just make new games.
Fire Emblem 1-10 combined sold roughly the same amount of units as Three Houses alone.

Lmao at a GBA NSO update releasing Wario Land 4 before Maximum Velocity, I wouldn't even be surprised if that just actually happened anyways.Another fake direct from 4chan, seems that people are hungry for a real direct soon lol
FE10 also had bad timing and relatively poor marketing going against it.What if instead of remaking unpopular games, they made popular new games with new stories and mechanics and maps.
Fire Emblem 10 is a great game.
It sold 500k copies as a launch window title on the Nintendo Wii and nearly killed the franchise.
It was given a pretty strong opportunity and people didn't buy it and remaking it would take 4+ years, just make new games and throw those titles on the GameCube emulator.
I mean, FE1-3 have already been remade, granted one of those remakes also never came out in Japan. If for some reason Switch 2 had DS games available for NSO I could easily see FE11 being put on there. That’s why 1-10 should get remade. I agree that the Tellius games don’t need much more than a remaster and some UI fixes, but are you suggesting the rest of the games were also unpopular? 1-6 were only released in Japan, so of course they’re not going to have sold as well as a modern counterpart sold globally. They’re also, you know, 15+ year old games. It’s not fair to compare the sales of an SNES game to that of Switch game when the entire industry has changed.
I’ve been of the opinion for a while that 1-6 should get remakes to allow those games to find new audiences, maybe FE7 just because it ties in with FE6, and then either port or remaster the rest until it’s been literal decades and there’s some new leap in hardware capabilities.
that ace attorney name makes this fake as hellAnother fake direct from 4chan, seems that people are hungry for a real direct soon lol
FE4 is a BIG fan favorite, especially in Japan (outside of Japan it also has a loud fanbase but obviously nobody outside of Japan is really able to experience it legally) . It would allow them to make this game more accessable to a new audience and get old time fans in.But why not just make new games instead.
Because that’s not the world we live in today? Do you see how every company has to remake old games now?But why not just make new games instead.

Instead of 6 remakes? 100%But why not just make new games instead.
There really isn't much at all for the rest of this year after May/June for any companyApril is the perfect month for Nintendo to hold a Nintendo Direct, because there are no releases. No big releases from PlayStation or Xbox, too....
In short, all the spotlight will be on them
Calling 4-10 unpopular just feels false. 4 and 6 sold really well despite being Japan only. 7 & 8 have very respectable sales numbers considering Fire Emblem is a niche franchise (even more then). 10 was a direct sequel to a Gamecube game that released the same month as Mario Galaxy. Only 5, 9, and 10 could be described as unpopular from a sales standpoint. And again, 4-6 are completely new games to the west and considering sales numbers, 9 and 10 are also new games to most people. Most of those games are also beloved by the people who have played them so I wouldn't call them unpopular. What if instead of remaking unpopular games, they made popular new games with new stories and mechanics and maps.

I'm ok with the remakes of the pre-7 titles. they're new games to 99.99% of us anyway. we're missing 5, 6, and either 3 or 12. I did finish 6 and 12 though. when these get their remakes then every FE entry will have an English release - via original or remake versionIt's not like getting an old game remade detracts from getting new games :v
IS has been remaking their old Fire Emblem games for a long time now, don't see them arbitrarily stopping. Though I'd prefer if they'd first tackle games that never saw a release in the west.
Not to mention 3 Houses took a lot of inspiration from FE4 such as the military academy (granted that was more backstory for certain FE4 characters) along with the Crest system being inspired by FE4's Holy Blood and the in-game time skip, so it wouldn't surprise me if they went back and revisited FE4 as a result to help finish Switch-era FE.We literally got two new entries back to back, for 90% of the world a remake of Fire Emblem 4 (or 3 book 2/12, 5, and 6) is no different from a brand new game. There's no sensible argument here. FE4 has been rumored almost as long and by the same sources that rumored Engage. Engage puts a lot of emphasis on Sigurd, the mc of Fire Emblem 4. The remake is happening, it's just a matter of when it's announced and when it releases.

Also not to mention that 3 Houses was a ton of people's first Fire Emblem game, and a ton more got into the series thanks to Awakening. Even the pre Awakening games hold value for remakes (or enhanced remasters possibly for PoR/RD) for a good chunk of the modern audience. Not to mention 3 Houses took a lot of inspiration from FE4, so it wouldn't surprise me if they went back and revisited FE4 as a result to help finish Switch-era FE.

This faker really going out of their way toying with my feelings for a new Custom Robo, in a mere four months no lessAnother fake direct from 4chan, seems that people are hungry for a real direct soon lol
Why was it weird? They clearly stated the reason for Engage (a new game), they wanted to celebrate the anniversary and as for FE4, those games never made it outside of Japan, similar to Gaiden (Echoes: SoV). In all their history IS has done 2 remakes, why not bring those back to their new audience, the franchise is in a healthy place, so why not.I mean, probably yes, but I just don't understand why these games are made over new games. Making a game that was so nostalgia driven in Engage (when most of the fanbase has no nostalgia for the old games...) was weird and following it up with a remake would be even weirder. I would prefer new games and I think new games would sell better as well. These games are way too dated to do an easy Dead Space style remake so it's not like it's going to save much money at this point.
