Okay, so, 10 pages late, I can't believe this was already announced yesterday lol!! 2 days in advance??? Also dropping the Mini subtitle??

That's weird, hope it means it's a more meaty one this time.

If anyone can say whether most of the Partner Showcases said "publishing and development partners" or just those that had something Nintendo on them(the Part Time UFO, Buddy Mission BOND and etc ones)?

maybe @LukasManak22 can dig up all the history of directs

if tomorrow's Partner Showcase has a host, we will finally definitively know what separates a mini from a General, even though we sort of knew that already.
All this time, we were assuming the insiders had information about an upcoming Direct in April/May, when in fact all they wanted to say from the beginning was that the host of the Partner Showcase will be April May from Ace Attorney.

My biggest surefire prediction for 2024:

Manifesting the NSO-style controller and HD Zelda, LM1, and FZGX 🤞

I don't think GameCube NSO is very likely for the reasons stated before, but with the amount of GameCube remasters and HAGI ports that could be available on the Switch, this is how I imagine Nintendo would market a GameCube controller that could be purchased by NSO members.

Appreciate the optimism, but I definitely wouldn’t say ‘surefire’ 😅

Although that’s exactly what I want, so I back it

It would be funny if we got HD remasters of WW and TP that aren't ports of the Wii U versions.

I would be ok with it since I wasn't a fan of some of the visual decisions they made, especially if this meant 60 FPS.

Realizing that Koei Tecmo has released a Nintendo themed Warriors game every 2 years or so, the exception being Fire Emblem Warriors (2017) inbetween Hyrule Warriors Legends (2016) and HW Definitive Edition (2018).

With it being the 10th anniversary of Hyrule Warriors this year, and this direct releasing on Zelda's anniversary, what do you guys think about the possibility of another Hyrule Warriors game showing up? Though it could be for any other series really.
I'm betting on Hyrule Warriors - The Imprisoning War.

I was going to feature a Double-Dash track from Mario Kart 8 on the right side because i firmly believe Nintendo would add insult to injury like that hahaha

but real talk, if we never get GameCube NSO, Double Dash would probably be the biggest loss since I don't see them remaking it. HAGI port maybe?

I would play this but I'm starting to get a little burnt out on the BOTW/TOTK era.

I would love a new series-wide Hyrule Warriors with all the improvements that were made in Age of Calamity.

I would normally agree with being ready for a transition, but I'm weird and actually LIKE the little "GOOD END AU" that AoC spawned, and I'm down with letting Omega Force continue to cook in that setting for a bit longer. Mainly, because all the character interactions in AoC were so good, and helped round out where BOTW and TOTK lacked.

Continue the story from AoC's ending, plus timeline shenanigans so that Ganondorf, Twinrova, Rauru, Mineru, Sonia and Tulin all have reason to show up as new playables. Bonus if Kass FINALLY shows up, and we can explain away "oh, he wasn't in TOTK, because he jumped over into this timeline by accident" or something!

Then after THIS, we can finally say goodbye to this era, and maybe even Hyrule Warriors for a time.

Because Mario Musou should be next~!

EDIT:

Ah, well, now...

They're also so good at original characters. Linkle, Lana, Cia, Egg Terrako have a permanent place in my heart. I decided they're canon.

MONKEY BALL? Oh shit oh fuck. This would be a Megaton for me.

My sisters and I would sit in front of our tiny TV and play the games on GameCube for HOURS on end. I love that series so much.

I enjoy Super Monkey Ball but I don't have faith in a new one...the remake was kind of mediocre for me. The first one is a quintessential GameCube game though.

So from leaks, so far it's
  • Level 5 game
  • Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On
  • Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance
  • Penny's Big Breakaway
  • Endless Ocean 1 and 2
  • Super Monkey Ball
  • Ninja Five-O
  • Unicorn Overlord demo
  • Contra demo
How meaty was the June 2022 showcase? That'd be a good barometer for this one

EDIT: Ninja Five-O may not be at the Partner's Showcase so treat that one with an asterisk

Pretty darn meaty. I bought 7 of these, and I have a few wishlisted that I'll get around to eventually (or haven't released yet). If this Direct can match that hit rate, which looks possible, I'll feel pretty good about it.

Yes! Monkey Ball. Now we're talking. Brand new game please, following Banana Mania.
Ninja Cop
That sounds like Konami's other Limited Run game release they teased with Rocket Knight announcement, might not be at Direct. Just a simple GBA game with a physical version from LRG.

That Yu-Gi-Oh collection however, could be in the Direct.

Guessing that Pyoro dolphin tweet was hinting at Endless Ocean, but my mind is stuck on GameCube so now I'm going to guess more Gamecube remakes or ports that could come out of a Partner Direct.

Potential partner GameCube game ports / remakes:
SOUL CALIBUR! 2! (Now with Link!)
Rayman 3
Rayman Arena
Billy Hatcher
Pac-Man World 2 remake (likely)
Bomberman Generations
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure Battle: 2
(very unlikely but would be perfectly timed with Sonic 3 movie and it makes too much sense so they won't do it)

Also imagine the explosion if the last two are remakes and are a Switch timed-exclusive? Amazing

Released

Isn’t Ninja Five-O part of IGNs Fan Fest, not a partner showcase leak

How is vol. 1? I thought I heard it didn't run well on switch, so I held off on getting it.
Runs fine
I think maybe it’s frame rates aren’t as high as the other systems but other than that I didn’t really notice anything obnoxiously bad about it
Played through metal gear, mgs2 and mgs3

Just in case I'm somehow right (I'm not) I'll predict for posterity that Pyoro is actually hinting at Bloons.

I thought level-5 game was Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road?

Nice Showcase then, but I miss some more sauce to consider it epic.
