someone in the NSO thread jokingly(?) suggested they'd drop Pokemon Pinball, Pokemon Pinball GBA, and Pokemon Puzzle Challenge, and ever since I saw that I've really had an itch to play Pokemon Puzzle Challenge so I hope that's what ends up happeningSpeaking of NSO I wonder if Pokemon could potentially have some NSO titles announced next week

Game of the century. Imagine if they announce this for the Switch on Wednesday.Jesus fucking Christ
Yes please! i´ve been asking that since 2017 lolGame of the century. Imagine if they announce this for the Switch on Wednesday.
lol this is how I learned that they announced the direct date. Thanks for doing this!Yeah! I’m glad we got some winners!
@the_marmolade and @Bobo have been awarded their’s too! Thanks to everyone who participated
Amazing how quickly the general mood went from “video games are dead and 2024 killed them” to “WHOAH hold on there buddy, that’s a lotta content!”So to have a partner direct only to basically have a general direct 2 months later, I assume that's gotta be a reschedule because that's an awkward timed direct. Feels like it was going to take place in June originally before the delay but they pushed it up so June can now be the Switch 2 reveal month. Otherwise I can't really understand having two directs 2 months apart.
Also if this is the case, in about 4 months, we'll have:
- Partner Direct (with some 1st party announcements)
- Indie Direct
- Nintendo Direct
- Switch 2 reveal
That's a lot of activity
I'm more confused on why they'd have 2 directs, one smaller one and one bigger one, within 2 months of each other instead of combining them. That's why I assume it was supposed to be their summer showcase.Amazing how quickly the general mood went from “video games are dead and 2024 killed them” to “WHOAH hold on there buddy, that’s a lotta content!”
Probably contracts stated games had to be announced by a certain date and April is too far away to announce them.I'm more confused on why they'd have 2 directs, one smaller one and one bigger one, within 2 months of each other instead of combining them. That's why I assume it was supposed to be their summer showcase.
Also it'd be weird for them to announce the console 8-9 months ahead of its release when even the Switch only got 5 coming off of the flop Wii U when they really needed to take the spotlight off of its dying console
okay we do not need to be converting @xghost777 into energy unless it's accompanied by a rad-ass transformation sequence#meltdownxghostintoabeingofpureenergyandputthatenergyinajaranduseittopowermoredirectspeculation
I like the sound of thatPartner this week
Pokémon next week
Indies in March
General Direct in April
How is vol. 1? I thought I heard it didn't run well on switch, so I held off on getting it.I know I’m dreaming but I’d love it if MGS collection vol. 2 made an appearance
With peacewalker … I really would rather not get out my dusty old ps3 to play that game…
Plus I like all my saves to be in one spot
The Switch had longer than 5 months, it just didn't have an official name. Breath of the Wild was being advertised for Wii U and "NX" in June 2016, the same exact timeframe we're looking at here.I'm more confused on why they'd have 2 directs, one smaller one and one bigger one, within 2 months of each other instead of combining them. That's why I assume it was supposed to be their summer showcase.

I'm curious if anyone has insight as to why Nintendo would unveil the console relatively early (June vs. the October reveal of Switch in 2016). Wouldn't that only get in the way of selling more Switch's this year?
I never really got the whole "Directs will go away and we'll get a new type of showcase" thing. There's only two types of presentations: in person and online, and after COVID we're never going back to the former. Anything online will be similar to a Direct anyways, so why change it?Imagine if after we get all these showcases/directs:
- Partner Direct
- Pokémon Presents
- Indie Direct
- Nintendo Direct
- Switch 2 reveal
Nintendo follows up on their statement from years ago and stops making directs, officially ending the "Nintendo Direct Era" to make way for some new form of showcase for the next generation
Did they say they'd stop directs at one point?Imagine if after we get all these showcases/directs:
- Partner Direct
- Pokémon Presents
- Indie Direct
- Nintendo Direct
- Switch 2 reveal
Nintendo follows up on their statement from years ago and stops making directs, officially ending the "Nintendo Direct Era" to make way for some new form of showcase for the next generation
By the way, I hate to say “I told you so…”Pyoro’s absolutely fine. He doesn’t post for a week and everyone assumes he’s dead. Wake me up after he’s disappeared for six months lol
Yeah, I don't see what they could do differently, that would be worth changing to.I never really got the whole "Directs will go away and we'll get a new type of showcase" thing. I think I agree unless this Partner Showcase does reveal something that's smaller (the rumored Endless Ocean maybe?) that'll allow them to still have something dated after Princess Peach: Showtime! or one of the two is dated for late-ish April (I would probably think LM2 HD just because we have seen more of it seemingly!)!!I guess we'll have to wait for April for more on TTYD and LM 2 HD then. I'm guessing they will skip Twitter drops if a direct is coming in April.
Image won’t load for meJesus fucking Christ
tbf, in 2018 they did a mini in January and then a general in March, so it's not unheard of to have directs 2 months apart like thatSo to have a partner direct only to basically have a general direct 2 months later, I assume that's gotta be a reschedule because that's an awkward timed direct. - Pokémon Presents
- Indie Direct
- Nintendo Direct (Like partner direct but with more 1st party I guess?)
- Switch 2 reveal
That's a lot of showcase activity
Can we just get Gen 3, those games you listed are neat but I’ll be honest I’ll never play them.someone in the NSO thread jokingly(?) suggested they'd drop Pokemon Pinball, Pokemon Pinball GBA, and Pokemon Puzzle Challenge, and ever since I saw that I've really had an itch to play Pokemon Puzzle Challenge so I hope that's what ends up happening

You just don't wanna be the only one with a Direcc Specc thread that went for nearly three ridiculous monthsy'know in the olden days the thread wouldn't close at all for a stinkin partner showcase
Keep the thread open and let chaos reign
I must be blind, what's the new branding?this is a blessed day for @LukasManak22 and me because we got new branding
I really like it and suspect it matches the design seen in that universal miyamoto video
This is accurateokay we do not need to be converting @xghost777 into energy unless it's accompanied by a rad-ass transformation sequence
