Updates from the leaker
PC people won't have much of a problem.lmao FeMC btfo rip bozo
Anyways both of these will absolutely be on Switch
I expect the most we'll get is the localisers might try to write around it like the homophobic stuff in P5R. That wasn't especially successful, but at least they tried I guess.Wonder if they'll remove the transphobia. Knowing Atlus, the chances are pretty slim

We already have the femc model ready to use from P3D. The next step after setting up the model would be changing some text and editing the player UI textures to pink instead of blue. Shouldn't be THAT hard, right???
People will just have to live with the male protag being there on cutscenes instead of her.
Unless... those cutscenes we saw in the trailer are rendered in real-time (like iirc, SMT V on switch which is btw, also a unreal engine game).
Since I will probably not touch anything Persona related after P5 and this is a safe enviroment for those kind of questions, can you explain how they tried to get rid of it in Royal? Figuring that googling will just result in "ATLUS GONE WOKE?!?!!?!?"I expect the most we'll get is the localisers might try to write around it like the homophobic stuff in P5R. They don't. Localization did that job.Since I will probably not touch anything Persona related after P5 and this is a safe enviroment for those kind of questions, can you explain how they tried to get rid of it in Royal? Figuring that googling will just result in "ATLUS GONE WOKE?!?!!?!?"
coming to gamepass day one
I still morbidly laugh when some footage of SH2 leaked and people were worried it'd be a Switch exclusiveafter soul hackers trust no one, not even yourself
If Persona 3 Reload really isn't on Switch, I'm at the point where I don't blame the devs, but I do blame Nintendo for taking too long to release more powerful hardware. If I was Atlus, I wouldn't want to do the work to get P3R and and Soul Hackers 2 running on Switch when it would be way easier when Nintendo finally releases more powerful hardware.
give me a break, 3r could run on ps3If Persona 3 Reload really isn't on Switch, I'm at the point where I don't blame the devs, but I do blame Nintendo for taking too long to release more powerful hardware. I expect most of the social links to be straight up reworked and rewrote honestly.Very curious to see how they handle the social links. We have confirmation that Kenji is returning, which should theoretically lock Junpei out of a social link, but you'd think that they'd prioritize the party members. Not being able to hang out with your teammates would throw a lot of newer fans off, so maybe Kenji or Junpei got their arcana shuffled elsewhere. Same with locking the female social links behind the story, only having like 14 days to do Aigis's isn't particularly fun.
There's also some social links that are outright bad too, like the aforementioned Kenji, Nozomi, Keisuke, etc. Wonder how those will be handled.
give me a break, 3r could run on ps3
I'm not saying Switch couldn't run P3R, I'm saying I wouldn't blame Atlus for not wanting to do the work to port it when more powerful hardware should be right around the corner, making their job easier.Yeah, can we not give Atlus a pass for their bizarre platform strategies? Unless P3R is a generational leap over P5R there's no reason to assume it wouldn't be able to run on Switch.
Wonder if they'll remove the transphobia. Knowing Atlus, the chances are pretty slim
I mean they could always farm it out to someone else couldn't they?I'm not saying Switch couldn't run P3R, I'm saying I wouldn't blame Atlus for not wanting to do the work to port it when more powerful hardware should be right around the corner, making their job easier.
But... they already have P5R and SMTV (and P4 and 3 I guess) running on Switch? I know game development is not that easy but there's already a foundation of it there, so using that for another game that runs on the same engine (regardless of if it's the proprietary one of P5R, SMT V's Unreal or whatever else the other ports run on), I really don't see it as that much more or harder work.I'm not saying Switch couldn't run P3R, I'm saying I wouldn't blame Atlus for not wanting to do the work to port it when more powerful hardware should be right around the corner, making their job easier.
Why arenāt they starting with Switch as the baseline in the first place?I'm saying I wouldn't blame Atlus for not wanting to do the work to port it when more powerful hardware should be right around the corner, making their job easier
Why arenāt they starting with Switch as the baseline in the first place?
If Atlus isnāt putting P3R on Switch itās not going to be because of power. It might be because they think their audience is on PS. It might be because they want Nintendo to moneyhat them. Or whatever.
I am still utterly confused as to who this remake is for but then I remembered Square-Enix dropped Collection of Mana into the world with a Trials of Mana localization about a year or so before the 3D remake.
Yea, there's no way in hell this doesn't get a port to a Nintendo system. The question ought to be "which one?"We live in a world where Mortal Kombat 1 is skipping ps4/xb1 but is coming to Switch day and date with the ps5/xs versions, but Persona 3 Reloaded, a game built on a ps3 engine, that was already ported to Switch, is in question if it'll get a port.
P6 is only an exclusive if Sony helps to fund development like they have for FF7R2, FF16, and Forspoken. At some point I can't imagine Sony higher ups are going keep being thrilled funding these expensive jrpgs if they aren't having a major impact on hardware or software sales for ps5.Me, yesterday before watching the Reloaded trailer:
Me, this morning after watching the Reloaded trailer:
Oh
Reloaded looks like they dropped P3 in the P5/P5R engine. That's coming to Switch, if not the successor ("Early 2024"). If this sells well it's pretty much guaranteed they'll do the same with P4.
Tactics is basically a lock for Switch as that genre has absolutely flourished on Switch and we already have a date on that.
Either way, we're getting what sounds like new Meguro and Lotus Juice tracks so even if the games stink the music is going to be a winner.
Yea, there's no way in hell this doesn't get a port to a Nintendo system. The question ought to be "which one?"
After Soul Hackers 2 bombing and P5R doing well on Switch I can't see Atlus doing PS/XBox only again.
And not to console war but I think this announcement strongly puts the "inevitability" of PS exclusivity for P6 in question
Reloaded looks like they dropped P3 in the P5/P5R engine.
P3R is UE4We live in a world where Mortal Kombat 1 is skipping ps4/xb1 but is coming to Switch day and date with the ps5/xs versions, but Persona 3 Reloaded, a game built on a ps3 engine, that was already ported to Switch, is in question if it'll get a port.
Which will run on base model Switch although it can struggleP3R is UE4
I'd be very interested in seeing a breakdown of sales by region and platform for each of the P5 releases just to get a better sense of how the fandom is distributed at this point. I'm sure it's clustered around the PS ecosystem but by how much is the question I'd like to answer.P6 is only an exclusive if Sony helps to fund development like they have for FF7R2, FF16, and Forspoken. At some point I can't imagine Sony higher ups are going keep being thrilled funding these expensive jrpgs if they aren't having a major impact on hardware or software sales for ps5.
Thatās absolutely the case. Skipping Switch means giving up on the JP market, and that is barely an exaggeration.Reading these Japanese console sales charts every week makes me think if these devs care about their domestic sales at all they need to target Switch
Though yes, I agree.I still think both these games are coming to Switch
Yup. And on that topic, I donāt think we ever had solid proof about exclusivity deals for Persona, yeah?P6 is only an exclusive if Sony helps to fund development like they have for FF7R2, FF16, and Forspoken
Getting a PC so I can mod this game to make Beautiful Lady (no question mark) a playable character who replaces Junpei.Persona 3 Remake is set to bring some classic transphobia to a new generation
The trailer shows the Unreal Engine logo, unless that part of it was fake?We live in a world where Mortal Kombat 1 is skipping ps4/xb1 but is coming to Switch day and date with the ps5/xs versions, but Persona 3 Reloaded, a game built on a ps3 engine, that was already ported to Switch, is in question if it'll get a port.
PreaaaachEither way, we're getting what sounds like new Meguro and Lotus Juice tracks so even if the games stink the music is going to be a winner.
FeMCās route is better if youāve played the male route first imo. But you could really go either way.Still havenāt started the P3P port as Iām only a few months in to P4G and have barely touched it since TOTK. Thinking of playing the remake first then doing a FeMC run in P3P. Going back to the older gameplay after doesnāt bother me, I think Iād rather experience the story the first time round on a shiny new remake.
Anyone thatās played 3 already think I should be doing it differently? No spoilers please!
I also like the look of Tactica! Always up for more Phantom Thieves.
we're long since past the tools being the problem. it's almost always ideological. if P3 doesn't come over, there would be no great mystery as to why, Atlus is just AtlusWhich will run on base model Switch although it can struggle
I mean didn't Tears of the Kingdom selling 10m in a weekend prove that enough??the people want cringefail twinks
It's probably on the Switch. It's like P5 in gameplay, systems, and visuals. Might be higher poly and have better cutscenes (but those are pre-rendered so if MK1 of all games is coming, they can make it work), but... Atlus has put an Unreal Engine semi-open world game, that was miles higher poly, had particles explosions, a lot of modern techniques and great animation, not to mention great shaders and lighting, as a Switch exclusive (SMT V).If Persona 3 Reload really isn't on Switch, I'm at the point where I don't blame the devs, but I do blame Nintendo for taking too long to release more powerful hardware. If I was Atlus, I wouldn't want to do the work to get P3R and and Soul Hackers 2 running on Switch when it would be way easier when Nintendo finally releases more powerful hardware.
Sure, but I was mostly referencing the fact that Yoshi Crafted World runs perfectly fine but then you have Bloodstained which has significant performance issues and was visually compromised for the platform.we're long since past the tools being the problem. it's almost always ideological. if P3 doesn't come over, there would be no great mystery as to why, Atlus is just Atlus
I really need to play SMTV again, that was such a cool rpgI'M HYPED AF NGL
EVERYTHING I WANTED, DAMN!!!
Persona 3 Reloaded playing like 5 is a big win for me tbm since the point and click/VN playing of the original didn't engage with me as much as P5 did. Fire Emblem Tactica is just wild, I thought P5T would be some weird game that was f2p or something.
Also I'm kinda hopeful that Genealogy of the Holy War remake will be Three Houses mold again because that one reminded me a bit of P5 and I loved it.
P5T has a shot at being budget price so I'll get it as close to launch as possible. P3R I'll wait for a sale.
I mean didn't Tears of the Kingdom selling 10m in a weekend prove that enough??
3D Mario can't come soon enough so people can look at cubs again.

If P5R came out for Switch, and SMT V is Switch exclusive, and P3R is coming to Xbox One, there's literally no way P5R couldn't run on Switch at very good parameters like P5R did.
with Soul Hackers, I blame Atlus giving up on that game while in development. that game has the stink of "we lost faith in you, so we're cutting budget"Sure, but I was mostly referencing the fact that Yoshi Crafted World runs perfectly fine but then you have Bloodstained which has significant performance issues and was visually compromised for the platform.
Having seen the DF perf reviews for Soul Hackers 2 on the PS4/XB1it was pretty clear why that didn't hit Switch at launch
