The "how old we feel" thing is outrageously relative. My life changed so drastically in my late 20s that it felt like it sorta negated that whole decade and I had to start over from scratch. So I spent my early 30s feeling like I was more in my early 20s in terms of where I should be with my personal and professional life. Most of the friends I grew up with have homes and kids and I'm over here feeling like I just barely graduated.

The passage of time is messing with my mental health. I'm basically Chrono Triggered.

Not giving a shit about new technology has saved me thousands over the years, so I recommend it to everyone at any age.

I'm still running Word 97 on one of my computers. I haven't upgraded Adobe since CS3, and the newest software I regularly use is a 10-year old version of Corel.

Also I daily drove a 1972 Datsun for years because I got sick of computer problems in my cars (in California any check-engine-light will make you automatically fail smog even if the car is driving just fine and you won't be allowed to legally drive it until it's fixed, and that got expensive and stressful), and although I regretfully don't have the Datsun anymore I now drive a 2004 Toyota, which at 18 years old is the newest vehicle I've ever owned.

Did I mention I like pixel art games?

May onwards looks like extreme drought for me. My current buy list:

May: Two Point Campus
June: Mario Strikers, Demon Slayer
July: Klonoa, Live A Live
August: Nothing so far (Soul Hacker 2 not being on Switch yet hurts me a little)

I need more games, can someone announce some?

The worst part about that Guerilla/Elden Ring 'drama' is that Elden Ring genuinely has UX, accessibility, and quest design problems... it's just that it's the "GOAT!!!!" right now so even industry professionals don't dare criticise those facets of the game.

It must really suck to spend months of your life developing accessibility features and/or an intuitive UI for your game only for people to shit on all that work anyway. All because the latest Fromsoft "GIT GUD!!!!!!" title, predictably, fails to feature any of them - and is allowed to not do so because of "artistic intent."

This is impressive news to hear and I sincerely hope the OLED screen won't be dropped for future Switch revisions, but above all I'm happy Rawmeatcowboy has returned. The site is taking a little getting used to with its new layout but having nearly 30 staff members writing up news and features is absolutely incredible. I'm so excited to get back into my groove of cycling through three websites all day instead of two.
