I suspect Smash is going to be a definitive edition with all of the DLC plus some sort of content update with new stages and/or gameplay modes. Won't be new fighters.

This makes the most sense, but if they were going to have a defenitive edition, I assume they'll just save it for Drake.
If I had to guess, content update now and it'll roll out over the course of a year, and we'll get everything packed up in a Drake cart next year

If Switch 2 actually ends up releasing H1 2024, Do you guys think Nintendo could show crossgen games at this Direct without revealing that they're crossgen until the Switch 2 reveal? e.g. could games like Prime 4 or even the FE4 remake be crossgen games that are revealed w/ their Switch 1 versions at this Direct?

I think they have a lot to gain from showing games coming further out and later on the Switch 2 reveal trailer and event show them again as Switch 2 games.
Well, IF Mario Kart ends up being 2024, I think 3D Mario will be cross gen. They can show a teaser trailer for that(maybe even mostly cutscenes or scenarios) with a 2024 release year, then by January or March they re-reveal it on the Switch 2 event as the big holiday cross gen title.
Metroid Prime 4 is super likely to be cross gen if Switch 2 ends up being H1 2024, and so is Donkey Kong, and definitely the 2024 Pokémon release. I think most of those will be revealed for Switch before appearing on the Switch 2 trailer.

Gonna leave here the songs of one of my favorite animes that's one of the saddest as well. Been listening to them very often lately and they really touch my heart and kinda simbolize how I feel lately, specially RED.

I didn’t even thought about Animal Crossing. 3D Mario, Metroid Prime 4, maybe a new Kirby game and some big third party games would make it a killer lineup for sure

I was thinking of Animal Crossing and Mario Kart as 2025 games because I thought it'd be a holiday launch for Switch with 3D Mario.
But now that H1 is on the cards again, I think they'll have big guns throughout the whole year like with the Switch and on the second year have an absolute killer app.

It would be weird if the minis weren't in a Mario Vs DK game, like asking if shells and bananas will be back in Mario Kart.

In Mario vs Donkey Kong, Mario is the only playable characters, only begining in Mario vs Donkey Kong March of the Minis, that the Mini Mario start been playable in this franchise, maybe in this Mario vs Donkey Kong, Nintendo to return to it GBA/Donkey Kong 94 roots, and make both Mario e Donkey Kong playable in this game

How would Nintendo go from Tetris 99 to Mario 35 to Pac-Man 99 to…F-Zero 99? This isn’t adding up and I don’t recall a fan idea coming true with Nintendo. Why bring back a dead series to be a nso spinoff. There’s too many red flags on this one leak in particular. Which, again, doesn't exactly bode well for the prospect of another game based on a significantly less popular brand, does it?

Hence the concern.

My point is more that Namco did nothing with the game, basically. It was dropped, it never got significant updates, no boxed release, nothing. It was sent to die and die it did.

I trust Nintendo to do more with a hypothetical F-Zero 99, based mostly on the fact they are still supporting Tetris 99. Stuff like the crossover skins for new releases, or competitions with eShop credit prizes were a thing with T99 that never happened with Pac-Man.

Also I'm still convinced it's part of a larger retail product, sort of how T99 was.
