Do people believe that Pyoro didn't have access to the entire Direct? There's no way they know about the kind of stuff that they did without having access to the entire thing, given how spread out Nintendo first party stuff can be.

I wouldn't be surprised if dude got PracticalBrush'ed by Nintendo and/or Google, it's one thing to leak something a day or so before an event, but doing it nearly an entire week beforehand was asking for trouble.

That's weird

This tweet and one of the replies Pyoro liked imply a direct on Wednesday but Nate's video implies a direct on Thursday?
Yeah, he was pretty clear about it in the video about the recent batch of Switch 2 rumours from Gamescom: three days after the video was posted, so on thursday

(hopefully the timestamp works).

In theory, as already posted by others, there is a scenario where Pyoro liking a tweet mentioning September 13th (if we go under the assumption that it was a "hint" and not a sincere, not-informed like) and NateDrake re-stating that it'll air on the 14th might not contradict each other: the Direct airs at 15:00 PST / 18:00 EST on September 13th in US, and at 00:00 CEST / 07:00 JPT on September 14th in Europe and Japan, which is the time many Direct have aired at. Generally, NateDrake has been pretty much on point in indicating the weeks Direct were going to happen, and he also has a good record at correctly hinting at the specific airing days of the presentations: from what I could see, this has happened at the very least three times in the "post-COVID" era, so from 2021 until now: the June 2022 ND Mini Partner Showcase, the September 2022 General Direct and the June 2023 General Direct. It should also be noticed that the aforementioned presentations were all characterised by airing in timeslots that were the same across the Americas, Europe and Japan, therefore the potential timezone shenanigans that characterise other presentations are missing.

So, after this (probably overly long paragraph), if I'm allowed to, I wanted to tag @NateDrake for asking the following question: in the "post-COVID" era of Nintendo Directs, has it ever happened to you to be informed about a specific date for a Direct and then the presentation aired in US one day off compared to your information? Or, to be more specific: did it ever occur in the last two years that a presentation that you were informed it was going to air in a specific day did air on that day, but in territories such as Europe and Japan and not in the US?

One only has to look at the details they gave of Super Mario Bros. Wonder with these emojis. That person definitely had access to footage I think.

Was Blast Ball any fun in Federation Force? Would it be more fun if they turned it into Blast Ball 99?

I was a bit more excited for the June direct, because I really believed in Metroid Prime 4 showing up there. As we saw, it didn't work out that way. I also believe it will show up at this one, but I recognize that there's no way to know for sure. June tested my faith, but I'm happy to say that I now trust the process more than ever.

Whatever the outcome of this direct may be, I will continue to trust the process. Metroid Prime 4 will be ours one day.

True as long as you trust the process you will have prime 4 in your hands eventually

To be fair all of that is literally present on the game’s box art, so it could just be that Pyoro has access to box art and/or other promotional material for upcoming games. I feel like that’s much more likely than Pyoro having literally seen the entire Direct in advance.

I'm skeptical. Some of the games hinted at could very well be eShop releases without anything physical attached to it.

OK explain why you belive prime 4 will/won't show up in this direct, without using the words "trust" and "process"
Verily, the conceivability of the shooting adventure game of the first person that is Metroid Prime is as variable as the location of a fallen leaf in the breezy wind. As such, thou must have certitude that in the undertaking of the belief, or at least the verisimilitude of belief, that the undertaking of such a game shall happen.

What game is the Direct announcement tweet going to mention?
Is it "with a new look at Super Mario Bros. Wonder"? Or would it be something else because we just had a bunch of info for that?
For reference, last Direct said Pikmin 4.

Replace the word Pikmin with Metroid Prime.

(I think)

Won't, I think it'll be shown next direct/presentation to more closely align it with the next system as a crossgen release

Seriously people are going to be saying "nintendo doomed" if this direct is bad forgetting switch 2 being around the corner
I have my Sad Mario jpeg thumbnail ready for youtube

Imagine if it said this.

“Tune in at 7 a.m. PT tomorrow, 9/13, for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information mostly focused on #NintendoSwitch games launching until Nintendo Switch 2 in March 2024.”

Digital-only releases still receive press kits, so that doesn't really matter.
He didn't know about the Princess Peach game and Luigi's Mansion 2 remaster, and "coincidentally" those happen to be two announcements that didn't receive any advertising materials, trailers or even have press releases, if he had seen the Direct he would've leaked them.

Last September's Direct announcement tweet said

"Tune in at 7 a.m. PT tomorrow, 9/13, for a Nintendo Direct livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information mostly focused on Nintendo Switch games launching this winter."

I imagine the announcement for this Direct will say pretty much exactly the same thing, with the time possibly being the only change.

Fair enough. Good points.

Did someone see the leak where there are actual names of the rumored games in the DIrect and their release dates? Like: "Princess Peach Showtime!(TM)", "Another Code: Two Memories HD", "Metroid Prime 4: Extinction"

I think it's a well made fake, someone heard about the rumored games and made up games and also made up release dates but tried their best to make it sound plausible/reasonable..

In the same image it says Direct on 9/13, 5pm ET (which also lines up with the rumors). IDK what to think..

Edit: Almost certainly a fake. one of the words is miscapitalized..

Hopefully it says "mostly" again.

“Tune in at 7 a.m. PT tomorrow, 9/13, for a #NintendoDirectMini featuring roughly 25 minutes of information on shit we found in our basement to keep you fuckers quiet until we release a new console. Fuck you.“

People are legit saying mario wonder wont push units and is just a filler game lol. nintendo doomed people are wild
That’s crazy lol even Super Mario Bros U Deluxe sold incredibly well and I’m sure Wonder will do even phenomenally better. People are overestimating 2D Mario, it’s a system booster

I doubt wonder because of the direct we just had, probably splatoon 3 dlc or Mario RPG if I had to guess. Though tbh I doubt this direct will even have a “main game”

It’s most certainly fake, but the title for that professor layton game is actually legit. the game is stylized to be “Professor Layton and The New World of steam” with the word steam being lowercase

Little off topic but I just started collecting classic PlayStation games and I’m so scared Nintendo will launch switch 2 early next year. Like I just started playing these games JUST LUANCH IT SECOND HALF I BEG

how we holdin up folks
Never went into a Direct with vibes so weird. With the recent Switch 2 stuff actually making the console feel real, like, proper real, my hype is a little muted, especially when the stuff Pyoro leaked is either irrelevant or only slightly interesting to me.

That said September Direct equals TGS Direct, meaning 3rd parties gotta be the ones bringing the heat (which I'm more than ok with!) C'mon Square with that DQ3 Remake and extra surprises!
