Yeah, it's specifically in reference to Metroid Prime 4 at this particular time, but I've been thinking a lot lately about how at some point, we're going to have to acknowledge that The Process goes beyond a single game or franchise. It's always existed, will always exist... The Process is eternal.
 
Longtime lurker here, just decided to join. Like many of you, the last several hours have been a roller coaster of emotions for me with what we've been seeing. Pyoro's track record is spotless thus far, but there is something I've been thinking about. Didn't they like some comment about the 13th, with their likes being in relation to video game hints - in this case, about the Direct Date? And then another reliable source, Nate, implied the 14th? Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but maybe that means not all of Pyoro's likes are to be taken totally as confirmations?
 
The Peach game is actually titled "Peaches, Peaches, Peaches," coming exclusively to the Nintendo Jack Black in 2024.

pretty sure he's calling out that guy who claimed a new kiby prime 4 and the peach game not getting a new game at this direct, the one everyone flocked to despite never giving any real reason to belive them

I think the theory that Pyoro wanted to misled fake leakers into outing themselves is probably the closest to the truth. This means that essentially he knew the gif would be misleading in some way, since for any leaker that might be confused there could also just as easily be a real fan.

It makes sense why he did it but it feels kind of silly honestly. This is probably going to get him some shit his way too.

Is Punch-Out on the Wii really that offensive though? Like sure, every character is a stereotype but it's all in good fun and everyone gets made fun of in 1 way or another. I'd like to think most people would be OK with it, and there would always those people on Twitter but I don't think anyone should pay much attention to them.
 
I must have missed it but Pyoro leaked something about a related DS and Wii game remake. I'm hoping it's Dragon Quest 9 and 10, or Trauma Center 😆. One can dream.

Welcome. Im glad you mentioned this because him liking the 13th was something taken to heart meaning the direct would be that day. It appears it will be the 14th. So is Pyoro get to be wrong then?

I'm only basing it off most of the reactions I've seen so far.

But hey, maybe you're right! I confess I'm not as familiar with the wider F-Zero fanbase as to know how it'd react. I just want them to be happy.
 
Punch-Out Wii was pretty tame irrc, and they still put the old punch-out games on switch online so they aren't ashamed of it

Maybe a full trailer for the Princess Peach game will be the opener. Kind of like how Pikmin 4 was the opener for the direct after given a very brief glimpse in the direct previous to that.

Anyway, it's been roughly 8 years since the last Mario vs Donkey Kong game. Even if NST was working on it, it would be an almost entirely different development team working on it. Returning to the series after 8 years, I wonder what the gameplay approach is going to be. Will they continue the lemmings style or go with something else?

Also, will they return to 3D or go back to the 2D style? I always appreciate a good puzzle game from nintendo so I'm curious to see what direction they go with here. What would most people prefer?
 
I'm still on page 151 playing catch-up (and now we're at 182 JFC), but I think I have the Smash Bros Ultimate content uodate figured out!

New SSBU mode: Melee Mode! Adjusts the physics, hitboxes and damages for the select 25 characters and two dozen stages that are only allowed in this mode. Brings back Poke Floats. Wave dashing and ridiculous tech moves are back.

No Melee HD, it's just cobbled together within Ultimate.

You’re probably right it was a mislead on purpose. But damn he took everyone on the roller coaster ride because of it lol.

the only bad ones I can remember are king hippo and great tiger but I'd probably attribute that to my memory

In fairness they didn't say there wouldn't be a name reveal at all, just that there's no name that they're aware of. Not saying to take what they said with more than a grain of salt though.

I don't think anyone is Punch-Out is a racial stereotype, it's all pretty innocent cultural stereotypes as far as I remember

Thank you! It's just an interesting detail that seems to not line up with everything else. I don't doubt Pyoro knows what's coming, but my suggestion at least is him liking others' comments perhaps should not always be taken as 100% "Yes, that's exactly what's happening" deals.

I'm really, really hoping that long-rumored F-Zero GX remaster is real and gets a physical release. Getting only F-Zero 99 would no doubt trigger a lot of backlash, and hopefully Nintendo is smart enough to know that and have more ready if they're serious about resurrecting the franchise. Getting all the other games on NSO would be lovely, too.

As for Donkey Kong, a new Mario vs. DK could be alright, but it's also not as exciting as a new mainline DK game, which many of us, myself included, have been waiting for for a long time. Personally, I'd love a new 3D DK game, but I imagine such a thing would not happen until the next console arrives.

Hello everyone, I'm Shuntaro Furukawa from Nintendo. I was the one who made Metroit Prime 4 take so long, I told my coworkers to kill off classic Paper Mario and Zelda, and I personally siphoned all the gas from the F-Zero cars so they could never move again. I also took Donkey Kong out back and shot him then shot him another half dozen times after that just to be thorough. But above all else, I am personally responsible for keeping the people that want to make another Wave Race in check.

Been trying to wrap my head around this and genuinely the only DS and Wii games that are related to each other I can see getting a remake are… NSMBDS and Wii??

I sincerely doubt it considering the obvious, but like, what else is there? Unless it’s moreso them sharing similarities than the games literally being sister titles.

After that post I googled "king hippo racist" and found an archived thread from 14 years ago on gamefaqs that said "this game better be as racist as the original" with a suggestion for what they could do for King Hippo I won't repeat here ☠️
