I've been saying since BOTW launched I would kill for a WW successor with a dozen or so Great Plateau-sized islands, each with unique climates and inhabitants.I'm unironically down as HECK for this
I honestly don't think we're getting anything substantial until the week of April 10-14. I think next week will be pretty dry on news overall, and the week after that will be mostly Mario movie stuff. Can imagine they announce something on the Tuesday (April 11th) for either that Wednesday or Thursday.
I don't think they are waiting that long. It's the last week of March if anything.I honestly don't think we're getting anything substantial until the week of April 10-14. Hm yeah that's a good idea, what if you put the islands somewhere non oceanic though, like maybe the Sk-I've been saying since BOTW launched I would kill for a WW successor with a dozen or so Great Plateau-sized islands, each with unique climates and inhabitants.
Yeah, it's an okay substitute, but from what we've seen so far, the islands are pretty similar in style and most of them aren't massive. But hell, what do I know, there could be plenty up there we haven't seenHm yeah that's a good idea, what if you put the islands somewhere non oceanic though, like maybe the Sk-
Oh wait
(Obviously it's not the same since we don't really have any indication of living inhabitants of the sky yet but I've been thinking of the Sky as a Wind Waker analogue since we got confirmation of air vehicles)
I mean, we haven't actually seen the surface of too many islands (honestly I wouldn't be surprised if most of what we've seen is from one or two clusters), and we've seen some pretty huge ones as well (though it's hard to judge exact sizes due to distance)Yeah, it's an okay substitute, but from what we've seen so far, the islands are pretty similar in style and most of them aren't massive. That's what really stands out to me. Not just changing the game world, but using your imagination to change it too. That's different I think than just choosing to do things in a different order or merely interacting with the world itself.“Change the game world”
POV: you begin playing the game on an island above Hyrule and are greeted with:Imaging TOTK is like a big puzzle where you can move pieces of the world around to open new areas.
I think we'll be able to rebuild areas of Hyrule and choose how we want them to look and what we want them to feature.
Holy shitgameplay where players' freedom of imagination will change the game world
they jinxed itRemember when people were worried about no music on the BotW start menu? #TeamConcern is truly an ancient evil.
I haven't really paid attention - does Nintendo often do stuff at the end of March / the fiscal year?More info before fiscal year ends as always
We already saw this in one of the trailers where Link raises up a fallen rock to the sky. I'm guessing we'll be raising up tons of sky islands.“Change the game world”

At least for Zelda. Yes there's a difference between new info and delays but it's still the last possible week otherwise they have to wait after Mario Movie releases which will make it really tigh.Even if TotK is not at PAX I still believe they will show it after Bayo and before March ends. Why?
The first delay of Zelda U was announced on March 27th 2015.
The delay of TotK was announced on March 29th 2022.
Of course the game will not be delayed but Nintendo always wants to have info before the fiscal year ends (March 31st). I know, there's a difference between "our major game will be delayed" that is definitely something you want to apply before the fiscal year ends for investors but I think this also applies to more information about the game, you want to share at least something from the game before fiscal year ends to boost your confidence in it. Late March is always a time when the stars allign for a Zelda fans (well not in a good way in the last few years).
The ToTK website was updated an hour ago, this could just be something incredibly minor but if someone sees something new that’s neat share! https://www.zelda.com/tears-of-the-kingdom/
These features for breath of the wild on the japanese homepage where they introduce each region reminded me of the video that made me the most hyped for BotW (next to the 2017 trailer).
This time-lapse video Nintendo put out:
I loved the vibes. It had this Ghibli melancholy and the game delivered on it.
I adored the sound design (wind, grass moving, rain, animal noises) and warm light when the sun is coming out after the storm, fire still burning from lightening strikes. And I liked that there was no music. I love the music in the game but there have to be these calm moments where you just hear the nature.
Perfect.
Definitely!Oh hey look, it's what should've been the title screen for BotW
Anyone remember how before BOTW launch they were posting some screenshots for the game and even some concept arts for stuff? It was great and even it was exclusive to Facebook Zelda page, these images were always posted just there and not anywhere else like on Twitter.
Some of these are listed here in this Twitter thread. Would be cool if they did it again on Twitter closer to release (which am sure they will).
with all this talk about potential new info in March I have to ask if that's really at all likely? Nintendo has a track record of premiering new trailers in April, and hosting game-specific Directs around a month before launch - we saw this last year with Splatoon and Xenoblade 3 in both cases, so a new trailer around mid-April makes more sense to me
slightly unrelated but this was an amazing trailer for Xenoblade 3 imo

If I had a wishlist of features for this game, a good title screen would probably be last position. But then again, I’m the kinda person that switched to “dark theme” on the Switch UI day 1 and thought “this is great I don’t need anything else”.
It’s a screen where you press A and boot up a game. Keep that shit simple and I’m happy.
Cackling like a madman in my pickup rn, thx
Rivaling the Xenoblade 1 title screen for “I don’t want to start the game because I love the title screen too much”
