Definitely picking it up. I love games $30 and below, can pick up a eshop card for that value and an excellent game with it. Sometimes a couple.
 
i hoped a new B-K game is full open world with same collecthathon mechanics and no vehicles or that stuff gimmicks.

SMO proved that sandbox platforms can be popular.

With XB Series HW I know they can make a very colorful and unique world.

In doing some searches I came across that the composer for Yugioh Master Duel (a game I have too many hours in) is the same as Octopath 1-2, Yasunori Nishiki. No wonder I love the Yugioh ost lol. Weird that I just now noticed.

Couldn’t pre order fast enough on Amazon after Wario tweeted out the eshop price. I’m not a fan of pre orders at all, but will make an exception for this.

I beat the original on PlayStation. My friend had the sequel but I couldn't get used to KB+M controls and we didn't have a decent PC pad at the time. I can't imagine these two wouldn't come to Switch, and I hope this resurrects the franchise.

If LBA can come back from the dead, surely Tomba can!

Would make no sense without a Switch version, considering Frederic Ranyal was inspired by A Link to the Past while making the first LBA. The release date is a vague 2024, could be a Switch 2 game instead.

Whoever these people, they should do the first 3 Alone in the Dark games too.

Also Tomba is a Sony property. As long as Mr Jim Ryan is in charge, you should forget about a Tomba comeback.
 
Random, but when the Switch Lite was released, I thought Nintendo was going to go insane with the colors/variants of it. But I think we've gotten what, five? Nothing compared to how HAM Nintendo went during the 3DS era.

Yeah, I had hopes for Switch Lite (and to be honest also the Switch) in that regard. 3DS otoh got some epic variants + the whole cover plate thing.

I wanted a dark green one but ended up going with the dark blue one instead. If Nintendo made a dark green OLED Lite… whew lad

Nintendo has been suspiciously mild on special editions of Switch in general, especially after OLED release. We haven’t had a third party sp edition console for OLED and Lite yet, after regular Switch got a few. There are not enough Joycon colors too. Bring back transparent stuff, Nintendo!!!

I know when Tomba was first re-released on PSN it was in Japanese language only until a company called MonkeyPaw were able to get the license for an English release. The original developers disbanded shortly after the second game. And Sony published the original titles. It's all a mess I hope can be resolved!

P.S. another wrinkle is that both games along with other MonkeyPaw published re-release have been delisted on PSN in 2021. Not sure if they are still available in other regions?

Time is also nigh for a Game Boy-style set with the grey colours and purple-ish buttons, with a proper D-pad!
 
I had a weird thing happen to me with trying to use Birdo in MK8 last week. It had the eShop logo on the character icon but I couldn't use Birdo. It said I needed the NSO pass but I have GBA access in NSO? I am starting to think I tried to play before the update was out..but..I dunno. Weird.

I was curious how much it would cost to buy all of NSO's emulated games at Virtual Console pricing. So I used the list of games/dates at Wikipedia, and for simplicity went with just the North America list. For systems like Game Boy that had a lot for both $3 and $4 I used a middle value like in that case 3.50.

I dunno who owns Ecstatica I & II nowadays, but I'd love to see those two games remade with modern controls.
 
Nothing pre-emptively gets your blood boiling more than seeing either the special pharmacy or your health insurance company show up on your caller ID.

Xenoblade 1/2/3 probably don’t count since they’re not turn-based exactly, but they do have cooldowns for all skills.

Chained Echoes probably doesn’t count either, since it does have mana, but since your health and mana are restored after every battle it feels somewhat similar to cooldowns since you can use your abilities pretty freely without worrying about cost, and you need to use them in a certain order sometimes in order to stay in the “green overdrive zone”. Cost really only comes into play in boss battles that go long.
