I need to stop selling games on Kijiji/Facebook. If I don't get physical assault threats, I get someone trying to scam me and threaten to call the police on me :/

That is not how you spell Xenoblade (Or 3D Mario)

Actual GOAT blizzard. Along with Cotton Candy blizzards
I didn't even know they a cotton candy Blizzard 👀

Its been a while since I've been to DQ tbh... now I've got a good reason to go 👀 🍦

I got a voicemail from a random 800 number that was just 10 seconds of silence followed by the loudest and most comical sneeze I've ever heard.

I always recommend going to Whataburger whenever you are in Texas.

Always get the Honey BBQ Chicken Strips sandwich. Your life will be complete lmao.

the next RPG I'm gonna play (after I beat DQ2 and 3) will probably be KOTOR. then MHStories 2 if it goes on sale. then NeoTwewy, if it goes on sale

then SMT5

maybe. Pokemon Legends will supersede anything though

Not enough Divinity OS2 smh my bucket helmet
Speaking of: My multiplayer game of that is still going, we're playing like maybe once a week or two, but it's been really fun! We're finally almost ready to leave Fort Joy, that place has a ton to do

(and we all totally had bucket helmets)

Well finally finished Metroid Dread. To total time was 12 hours lol and I didn’t get 100 because fuck some of those shinespark puzzles.

Final boss was tough and I almost rage quit due to the second phase and that damn machine gun move which took away so much energy. Took me a few tries before I got space jumping around him down.

Other than second phase, he wasn’t too hard. My biggest issue was being stuck in a never ending first phase because I didn’t realize I did have to get him into a parry.

Great game!

So now that I’m done, need to start a new game. Sure I can go into my Switch backlog, but….. HA!

So I’m looking at Famicom Detective Club. Yay or nay?

Yay.

It's short.

I've finally figured out a button mapping scheme for Great Ace Attorney. I couldn't use the Phoenix Wright scheme because the right stick is occasionally needed. So instead, I'm using the left joy-con.

R mapped to ZL.
A mapped to left stick click.
B mapped to SL.
X mapped to d-pad Up.
Y mapped to d-pad Down.
+ mapped to SR (for the save scumming)

That allows for mostly single joy-con operation with occasional need to grab the other one when inspecting evidence. This supports proper bedtime playing, with one joy-con in hand, the console propped up against a fold in the duvet and head resting on the other hand.

I say yay. But as long as you have a bit of patience for the moments where it can be difficult to figure out what option will progress you.

It also supports single joy-con play without the need for button mapping.

I haven't played co-op, was Fort Joy as ridiculously difficult the first time for your group as it was for me?

For most of the game I've liked Hero, Erik (especially once I got good boomerangs), Veronica, and Serena a lot. I got comfortable with that team, and kept that lineup even after Sylvando became available. Then when Rab and Jade came in, swapping them in for a while felt right because of their significance to Hero's story, plus I liked the looks of their spells and abilities. Jade ended up with some good spears, and I was able to go way more on the offensive.

So the Sylvando section that kicked off Act 2 was stressful because I never really built him up and didn't quite know how I wanted to. It was luckily goofy and easy to get through, but now... now I'm on Jade's section. And now I'm ready to fuck shit up.

Gonna finally beat Circle of the Moon here tonight. All I have left to do is Dracula’s second form.

it only took me 5 weeks

Um, excuse me?

Jade did not "survive" the second round, she in fact fucked their shit up.

It wasn't too bad, it was hard at first, but once we did a few fights and bosses and got better gear we got through it without much trouble. We did die a few times early on due to triggering fights on accident or before we really knew what we were doing. At the point we're at now, though (almost done with everything there) it feels like we're pretty powerful.

There's a farm near me that makes banana milk and root-beer milk and they're wonderful.
...I need Root Beer Milk in my life this instant.

So I've been playing through Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for the Gamecube Challenge, and I've got to say, it's been a fun time so far! It's way shorter than a console RPG usually is, but I'm still having a lot of fun. It's a pokemon game with some actual challenge again, and I'm absolutely here for that (even if the final dungeon is ridiculous with the amount of shadow pokemon it throws at you).

Okay so I take back what I said last night about the best JRPG sidekick. Today I found the actual best:

Every time a monster attacked him I shouted "fuck you" at my screen.

Me rn:

Playing Dread was useful because I finally discovered why the “y can’t Metroid crawl” Miiverse was funny.
I just posted screens of that on my local Nintendo discord a couple weeks ago! Wii U wasn’t the best of times for Nintendo gamers, but damn if I don’t have some great memories from those years.

Y'all got games on your phone?
Currently I play Pokémon Go, Pikmin Bloom, and Clash Royale.

I didn't even know they a cotton candy Blizzard 👀

I can also vouch for the cotton candy blizzard! (Though I think it may be a summer-seasonal flavor here.)

Can't believe Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury came out this year
Playing through some of my backlog and felt a little disappointed with myself that I hadn’t finished Bowser’s Fury yet, then I realized it was a 2021 game…so I guess I’m not doing half bad on that one!

This is one of the dumbest videos i've seen. Nintendo trolled us by saying a new console is coming out soon? ok man
