Looks like my Wii U is safe. Can’t say the same about my Gamepad charger though, but I coincidentally ordered a new one the other day.

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Kirby but the only Kirby games I’ve ever owned are Dreamland, Air Ride, Canvas Curse, Star Allies, and Forgotten Land (haven’t finished, plan to restart.) How’s Return to Dreamland DX?
It's a fairly good Kirby game. Base game I'd give like an 8 or 8.5. The Magalor epilogue is great though. Plays more like the modern Kirby games in comparison to the base game.

I found this video browsing r/Nintendo and found it an interesting watch.

It’s a lot of the points people bring up as to why Nintendo protects their copyright while including some new ones.

This is the follow up to a previous video, and boy does it bring up a lot of things that I think all us Sonic fans have been kinda worried about. It's one of the reasons Sonic fan creators go nuts killing and denouncing any major fan project that makes money off Sonic, because we know just what a sticky predicament we are in as fans.

Here’s their one on Nintendo

But, yeah it was something that I was saying years ago that due to how lax SegaSammy was on the property; if it ever became more popular then they absolutely would enforce it more. But even then you can see pitfalls of having lax control can result in.

Here I am wondering if my Wii U from 2013 still works, meanwhile my SNES from 1994 is still going and will probably outlive time itself.

The Nickelodeon logo for the new Ninja Turtles movie brought back the slime splat outline and the 90s font and I am freaking the fuck ooouuuttt yallll

Should I expect physical 3DS games to shoot way up in value when the eShop closes?

There’s a couple of games I want to get, but I may not play them anytime soon. They’re 30 bucks on Amazon right now but I dunno if that will hold before long.

Possibly but there’s a number of games with low print runs that are already ludicrously priced. It’ll take time for everything else to go up. Usually a decade or more. Like you can still get DS games used for ok prices.

EDIT:
Too rich for my blood but if you had told me there would be a purchasable Mani Mani statue in 2023 I'd take that as a sign of an incoming apocalypse

I've been back at work for about a week now after a 6 month parental period, and my motivation has hit rock bottom already.
Was kind of expecting this extended off time would make my motivation be high.. but it's the exact opposite - and it sucks.

Looks like we are getting Solar Ash on Switch. Haven’t played it myself.

Really interested in how Solar Ash runs on Switch because it's pretty bad on Steam Deck. It was also announced to be coming to Xbox back in July but there's been silence since.

Also excited to buy Neon White for a third time.

Got a taste of what retirement is gonna be like and now can’t go back, lol (not that taking care of a newborn isn’t work). I’m sure you’ll get some back once things normalize again in the work arena. Probably been catching up on emails and meetings I imagine most of the week?

plumbers don’t fix refrigerators though

But have you tried shaking hands like this with your plumber?

I bet they would fix your fridge for sure then.

I keep seeing news about Redfall which is a game that is very much happening and also releasing before Tears of the Kingdom, apparently.

Hehe, the first couple of month's were cool - kid was still quite easy going.. but the last few has been by far the most intense from any of my 3 kids at that age hah (12-15 months) so yeah, it's definitely not easy time :p I have gained so much respect for stay at home parents, they're the true heroes.

Yeah I aint even exagerating when I say I had over 80k in my inbox mails. My outlook rules stopped working and since I own a couple of big channels in our ITSM system.. they all got mixed up among my regular mail so it was depressing to open my email lol :> But after cleaning out the majority of stuff and setting up new rules, there was still a couple of thousand mails to actually read through... so yeah there's a lot of catching up to do =)

But I mainly think my biggest problem lies in that I am pretty tired of this job, I feel I'm done and need to find something else.

I played the PS4 version and had a great time.

I played it on switch as well and had a great time as well

PC version with the HD Project mod easy.
So I went with the PC version with the HD Project mod and, damn, this is the way to play it. Thank you for reminding me of its existence, Dardan!

The mod looks so good, but altogether I'm really surprised just how well this game is holding up all these years later. I'm at 2-3 right now at about 4 hours in; how long would you say I've got?

The game can be around 13-15h long on your first try, I'd say you still got a good 8-9 hours if you keep this pace.

Thanks! Just got to the Castle. Feels like a nice change of scenery. I know there's some hard segments to go, though. Already died once to one of those head-eating enemies lol.

RE4 is definitely one of those "But wait, there's more!" games. You think you are at the end but then there's a whole other section of the game to get through.

The castle is one of those areas where right where it’s about to drag. It’s either ends or does something interesting to keep it entertaining.

Damn RE4 is so good 🥹

I know March 9 is going to be a "big" day for news, but rn I'm looking at Nintendo like

Me anytime it's been more than 20 minutes since their last NSO update.

istg if Metroid Fusion is the only update we get this month...

ONE GAME A MONTH, BABY

If they really take the “one game a month” approach and make it so it’s literally JUST ONE GAME (across ALL PLATFORMS) a month I’m not going to be very happy.

I’d be okay with one game a month for all consoles.

Good morning my wonderful Fami friends.
I hope everyone has a simply exquisite day.
My feet are cold.

But otherwise it's been a very productive and lovely morning so far! Generating 300+ scrolls and wands and potions is easy as pie using google sheets!

So, just got through the Sea of Stars demo.

And ... it's fine? Like, I'm not blown away and actually feel a bit apathetic. It certainly looks good, sounds good. The German localisation/script is solid.
And I got bored after a while.

Only because you offer a sincere reply in your edit I also want to offer a sincere response 😋

I do agree with one game a month for each console; even that would be a preferred way to stagger releases. Every two weeks, a release alternating for N64/GBA, and every couple of months means a new smattering of games for NES/SNES/GB/Genesis on the off-weeks of the EP console exclusives

Yeah, I’m looking at Luigi Mansion 2 and New Leaf, so there is probably enough to go around for a while. I might just snag them physical anyway so I don’t have to worry about them anymore.

Absolutely. For example:

Week 1: GBA Game Announced
Week 2: GBA Game Released
Week 3: N64 Game Announced
Week 4: N64 Game Released
Week 5: GBA Game Announced
Week 6: GBA Game Released
Week 7: N64 Game Announced
Week 8: N64 Game Released
Week 9: GBA Game Announced
Week 10: GBA Game Released
Week 11: Suspiciously Empty
Week 12: NES/SNES/GB Game Dumping Ground

repeat ad infinitum

I know this is incredibly optimistic (they’re gonna run out of N64 games very quickly) (also there’s not that many NES/SNES games left for them to release) but I’d love a regular cadence like this.

As much as I would love this, that is basically pushing the standard plan (NES/SNES/GB) to once a quarter. IMO things should be a little more even

GBA
N64
NES/SNES/GB

Three updates a month. Add a Genesis update every quarter.

All wishful thinking though like you said.
