Monolith obviously can't work on a Switch port of Xeno X because they're busy making Pikmin 4 as a card-based JRPG.

Main cast was leaked a while ago:

That's bait D:

Holy shite, triple post xD i think that's a first for me

Ya know what would be cool? If somehow Sega/M2 could bring Mickey's Castle of Illusion + World of Illusion to Genesis/Megadrive NSO.

They brought both games to the Genesis Mini in 2019...which M2 handled.

I would really just love more availability of classic Mickey games in general, I played a ton of Land of Illusion before I ever got my hands on these as a kid 😍 Mickey Mania too. Castle + World would be fantastic!

I'd be surprised if Nintendo were intentionally locking other devices out of this. Surely if that was a concern they'd have done the same with the NES and SNES pads - it'll be interesting to see what happens with the Mega Drive controller.

Do other Switch controllers work out of the box?

I would assume Nintendo only makes sure they work with their own devices, why would they care if it works on PC, Mac or Pi?

I know you can connect the SNES controller to a Mac and it works perfectly (aside from the four lights blinking all the time while you use it). Never expected it to, not sure why anyone would, but it’s nice that it does. I remember some other controllers of theirs having some trouble, however, depending on your hardware configuration.

Not Nintendo related, but I'm quite happy Housemarque added the save and exit option to Returnal. It's true the game is still difficult (and in fact I'm still stuck in the second area lol) but now I can stop the game when I'm tired or I need to turn off the console/close the game for any reason. I love it.

Nintendo Italia has a really nice customer support.

A few years ago they fixed my 5 years old 3DS completely for free. Both shippings, manpower, the new part (the L button was broken) were on them, and warranty is only 2 years here.

Today my Lite came back and they game 2 completely new analogue sticks even if only 1 of mine was actually having issues.

I replaced a drifting stick for my sister’s left joycon yesterday. It felt good to help out! I’ve done three joycon repairs now, and I’m definitely better at it than I was the first time I did it.

N64 controller has arrived. I feel like Star Fox 64 with this controller is a Friday afternoon sort of thing that'll have to happen.
Still don't know for sure when mine will arrive since DHL doesn't want to tell me. Just gotta be patient, I guess. I already did an Easy run in S&P to get some of the rust off, though.

Yes; the NES, SNES, and Pro Controllers work fine wirelessly, but need special programs to work over USB. I believe all the reports that it connects but doesn't register inputs come from people trying it wired.

The Joy-Cons are weird; they work wirelessly but assume the sideways position, even mapping the stick to a dpad. This can be worked around with a program, similarly to using the other controllers wired.

Going for the last crystal in A Link to the Past tonight. Is squeezing in Link’s Awakening before SMT V possible? Should I? I can do M+R challenges/secrets instead.

Yeah, should be doable without issue as long as you're not set on 100% the items in LA without guide.

If you want cheaper games, just stop being European. I mean you'll probably die sooner without guaranteed healthcare like us Americans but at least we died knowing we paid less for the cloud versions of Kingdom Hearts.
galaxy brain strategy: you can not be European and also not be American

Any way to turn off the start button stuff at the bottom of the screen? Immediately on Mean Bean Machine for a nostalgia kick.
Yep! App settings, uncheck display controls.

Wow, that's surprisingly better than I thought.

Yeah, they even connect automatically as long as you don't sync to the Switch in between. It's a surprisingly seamless experience as long as your setup involves Bluetooth.

Edit: And as @Imitatio alluded to, Steam has built-in support for the Pro Controller; no special program required even over USB.

I think it was around 2007 or bit later but the old original GameBoy from my sister got scratched up by my little brother when he used it, while my Sister and I got a GameBoy Color. We found the OG GameBoy in a drawer full of socks, of course still scratched up.
I send this thing to Nintendo in Großostheim and I got back a brand new Game Boy. Crazy

The input lag is still being talked about, and now according to Nintendo Life, we're talking about 8 frames of input lag. That. Is. Awful.

Regarding fog, It's not only one room in OoT. Anywhere that had fog in the N64 version is now gone. For example, the fog obscuring the Great Deku Tree in Kokiri village is missing. Fog wasn't only to hide draw distances but also used strategically for atmosphere in a lot of areas.

It's affecting Mario Kart 64 and Star Fox 64 as well and it's extremely frustrating for folks to be having these issues when people are paying a giant premium for this.

maybe I’m missing something with the fog but it doesn’t feel that severe in the game at all. Like I love OoT and seeing the screenshots of the Deku Tree / Kokiri area had me a little worried, but then I played it… and it seemed fine?? Like totally I get that it would have more impact in the one water temple room but this is really feeling overblown.

In case you woke up today thinking "I'd love to see an ad for a game I will never get to play in English!", you're in luck, there's two!

I can't believe how certain stuff look like from 13 sentinels, and I wonder if it was just a coincidence or not 😅 at least the gameplay during mecha sections is a lot different.

Yeah, I doubt Level-5 is in position to hate money right now. Musashi will hit the western shore one way or another.

Yokai Watch 4 still being MIA doesn't make me very hopeful but maybe they got someone to do Musashi for them.

They're really nice, I only wished they repaired Pro Controllers - and if you have a plug for repairing them in Italy, my DMs are open 🙏

timelines where everyone would be unhappy are very fun to come up with

Everyone? Please speak for yourself.

edit: Sorry, I misunderstood. You probably think Monolith can't do the lewdness Pikmin is known for any justice. I think I agree. It should be Tamsoft after all.

So, NSO shenanigans aside. Nintendo really hooked me up with my joy con repairs. Sent them in a couple weeks ago in preparation of not using the white ones from the oled. (BTW still haven't open the damn box and checked it out) And they sent me back two new pairs....not "new in box" new but I sent in day 1 grey pair and a splatoon green/pink pair and they sent me new replacements in exact colors. So surprised.
