Dodging spoilers is going to be such a nightmare. I’m off Twitter until launch because I almost got spoiled on Fuecoco’s final evolution, only to go on Discord and get spoiled on a Lechonk evolution. I can’t win.

YouTube thumbnails are the worst. They always put leaks there and such videos are always suggested to me on the main page. I can do without twitter but no YouTube is gonna be hard.

Still managed to go unspoiled after visiting Twitter and Youtube, saw a picture while scrolling but my mind did not register it. It's sure is hard though, every news output I see could potentially hide a spoiler as they gain traction.

At this point I've realized it's better to go looking for the leaks myself, rather than to get spoiled by someone else because thats infinitely more infuriating. 🥲
The only thing I really, really wanna avoid are story related spoilers tbh.
The game is so close, yet so far awaaaayy!!

Don't go to any Poke media forums, discords, meme pages, delete pokemon in your Youtube search history and google search history so it doesn't end up in your feed.
It's your responsibility to avoid any spoilers you don't want to see.
 
Has there been a full dex leak yet with base stats and everything? That's my favorite part of the Pokemon pre-release cycle. Love to look at stats and abilities and see who looks fun to use lol.

Unless speed of leaks pick up and the leakers/dataminers are less picky about what they show, they're going to leak stuff well into after the games officially release.

I got spoiled in an esports server. People can post this shit wherever they want. And I’m not going on a 100% internet blackout for over a week.

Maybe you could use an image blocker extension to at least filter those out? I don't know if there are any for discord though...

Be wary of "recommended for you" features on social media, because a spoiler (luckily a mon I'd already seen) popped up on my twitter dashboard without warning
 
I was weak and I ended up seeing all the spoilers. I think I'm still going to be sticking to my original plan of ditching the starter (horrors!) and building an all good-boys team. It will be very imbalanced and totally uncompetitive but it should be fun.

Can't wait for the game to arrive and take over my life.

Agreed. Music, designs are all great. Also the only thing I saw and honestly only saw it at a glance. Really looking forward to next week. Got both games to play so that is dope.

Haven't looked at anything and don't plan to, but maaaan hearing that has me hyped. I heard the same thing about Legends Arceus and fully agreed after playing it, so now I'm really itching to get my hands on this.

And that's it. Yesterday i took Mario Strikers and Brilliant Diamond to Game, i got 56 € of store credit as well as a 10 € discount cuppon, and i already had 7 € in points.

This game's coming home for free, and i'll throw in a Pokémon Amiibo for good measure.
 
Preorder is in. Physical and all since it looks like the shipments will arrive on time. Now the long, long wait begins. I don’t know how I’m supposed to wait for eight more days for this. It feels like an eternity.

Going by the leaks this will be a Pokemon game i'm going to play for a long time.

If i didn't get physical for 50 bucks and if Cloud storage would work with those games, i might've gone digital for this one so that i wouldn't have to swap carts if i was in for a couple of minutes playing.

Bad. I have been spoiled 4 pokémon thanks to non other than Google. Whatever Pokémon related search i make, leaks always pop up. I need a full internet blackout and I'm not sure if I can do it.

I haven’t played it but I’ve seen most of the leaks and a little bit of gameplay that was being streamed. I’ll say that I’ve been pretty negative about SV since the reveal trailer, but I’m feeling hyped now. The game looks like fun. The Pokémon look good. It’s safe to be excited for this one.

As someone who basically read/saw almost every leak ... you're in for a treat.

ScarVio's going to make Sw/Sh take a massive L for most people playing it.
 
Are we finally in the good Switch era of Pokemon? I really hope so. Waiting for Violet is painful, at least we have the Splatfest

I've been hyped for the games from the get-go (I think my avatars here usually betray my love for the series) so maybe my view on it is skewed, but the leaks have only reinforced that and the reactions I've seen from people who have read the leaks and were on the fence, I think the games will win back a lot of people who are nervous or disillusioned. No promises, of course, but to me it's looking fire.

who would have thought 3 years ago after Sword/Shield that we would have Legends Arceus and Scarlet/Violet in the same year, both looking like the best games in the series for ages. GameFreak keep winning ngl.

To be fair, it's not like trailer since then were filled with new Pokemon reveals. ;D

If not for the Kaka leaks from early summer and the datamine leaks now, this would be one of the gens with the least known stuff.
