Has anyone here ever bought a digital game tied to another account?
I'm very tempted to do this for Super Mario 3D All-Stars as it's sadly the only option now, but I'd want some feedback to know if it's safe in the long term (like is there any risk for my personal account and such).

Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a physical version? I still see some of them in stores and of course there are tons on the second hand market.

Just go to Gamestop or Walmart. All the stores near me still have it.

Sure but physical is annoying and I want to go mostly digital now. Of course I know physical can be easily found but that's not really the point :)

ads are bad and I hate them but sometimes I misread them and it makes them funnier to maybe only me

anyhow saw a lego instagram ad of all things doing a video parlor trick that included the phrases “adults welcome” and “sonic the hedgehog”

and now Adult the Hedgehog is canon

I’m picturing a slightly melted Sonic that tries very hard to wear dress shirts & ties and be serious but is bad at it

surrounded by the childish joys of his youth which he can hardly resist but must if he is to be taken seriously

he is overthinking it and everyone else knows

but he is determined

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if tens of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
I feel like you might be an order of magnitude off there.

Too bad "ones of voices" isn't really an acceptable expression.

🎶Sonic, he can really move (away from his hometown because that place is toxic quicksand)

🎶Sonic, he's got an attitude (because of the customers he has to deal with on a daily basis, hell)

🎶Sonic, he's the fastest thing alive (at descending into crippling depression)

I admit that it's a little satisfying seeing the downfall of Stadia. I'm sure there are employees at Google who worked hard and believed in the system. From what I've read, the tech behind it is impressive. But Google launched this thing without games of its own and studio they setup to make games barely started any work. This was a giant corporation thinking they could simply but their way into the market from piles of money they got some other sources. They threw millions at publishers just to have big names. I understand that you need to spend money to make money. But spending it with little thought and reason shouldn't be the way. Aside from the streaming itself, Google did nothing to add to the gaming industry at large. No new games. In the end, it was just a giant corporation trying to get a piece of the gaming money pile and it back fired on them.

Google is and has been stuck in the same space Microsoft was in the late 90s/early 2000s.
