After mod discussions, while we don’t think this post entirely breaks our NSFW content rules, we do believe it falls uncomfortably close. We’ve decided to remove the image, and would appreciate people not going into detail. -Derachi, Josh5980, Red Monster
Fami, how far would you go to cheat?

Mod Edit: Removed image.

Removed the details based con feedback, as it's not really apropiate for this thread

Going from Switch to 3DS I feel like what I miss most, more so than the graphics, is the complete lack of flexibility. There's just some games that I also like to play on a proper screen sometimes.

Not sure my favorite home console design, never thought much about it.

Honestly, it very well might be the GameCube:

The purple cube is instantly recognizable and iconic, and well, it's a cube, which no Nintendo console before or after looked like. Plus that logo loading screen:

Once again I want to buy a GameCube for purely aesthetic reasons.

It's 2003 and someone just broke into your house to stab you and steal your Yu-Gi-Oh. You run to your game consoles to defend yourself. Which do you choose? Your PS2 is too flimsy and it breaks on contract with the robber. You are too weak to lift your Xbox. The robber has stabbed you while you're hunched over trying to lift it. But your Gamecube? It's the perfect size, weight, and shape. It even has a handle. You grab that purple (or black) box, swing your arms, and hit the robber over the head with it. Then you use your GBA connector to strangle him. Your life is saved. That is why the Gamecube is the best designed console.

Oh, favorite console designs. My favorite guilty pleasure topic...
  • The Series S is disarmingly small; looks great anywhere and fits anywhere
  • Gamecube is an obvious charmer
  • That White PSOne. The tiny one. I want it.
  • Not my favorites, but I definitely thought the slim models for PS2/3/4 were HUGE improvements over their predecessors. Probably the most night/day aesthetic change I can remember.

The white DSi was a looker.

Oh if we wanna talk all our favorites?
  • The facelifted, smooth Sega Genesis
  • Dreamcast (it beats the GC as "cute little boxy thing" for me)
  • The facelifted, more angular, gloss black X360
  • GBA (especially in Atomic Purple)
  • Series X (I genuinely love its monolith look)
  • PS5 (first and only PlayStation I liked the aesthetic of)
  • OLED Switch

In all seriousness, I think my favorite console design is still the US Super Nintendo; that is what I think first when video games are mentioned. Love the purple switches, the built quality, its weight is just right, and how cartridges display when on the slot. Just perfect.

If we're talking portables, I think I gotta go with the DS Lite:

Lightweight but sleek as hell. only flaw is the GBA cartridge sticking out.

This, I know a lot of peope like more the european design, but there is something about those purple buttons.

And as someone who has big hands the DSI XL was very appreciated. It's a shame the white color was only available in japan

The Neo Geo is the only console I'd love to own purely for aesthetic reasons.

There's also this guy (which I already own):

@Suswave I just put 2 + 2 together and realized "Souplover's Pizza" is a reference to "meatlover's pizza"

A meatlover's pizza is a pizza covered in various meats

So a souplover's pizza must be a pizza covered in various soups

I am... bothered
and impressed
almost!

in early planning, I was considering having various items that you could give to specific Gröglords that made their fights easier or harder, or possibly even skippable

so for Zilch, who is lactose intolerant, I thought “souplover’s pizza” was a great gag item — loosely named after meatlover’s pizza, of course

I envisioned a pizza so cheesy and full of stuff that it could hardly retain shape

if given to Zilch, he would be so horrified that he’d have to eat it on principle, which would immediately become a problem

then I realized that it described what I was doing with the game so well — cramming as many weird and messy ideas into it as possible, creating something very silly but also compelling with a dash of “why did someone make this”

and then there was no other option, it had to be the studio name

I’ll also occasionally use it in place of epithets like “clusterfuck” or “shit sandwich” — though much more endearingly

Surprised I'm the first to suggest it, but I'm genuinely a fan of the sleek black, the curves and edges in all the right places, a headphone jack at the front of a home console so you can play on the TV without waking up the house, not to mention 16-BIT HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS

Genesis is a cooler name than Mega Drive and you cannot change my mind. Have a good day.

From Nintendo family of consoles, I also want to give a shout-out to Gamecube, but its best feature of a swappable faceplate was lost after the DOL-001 (the one with the digital AV out port) before it could even materialize outside Japan and I know people would have gone apeshit for the sheer possibility of a collectible 4" diameter piece of plastic.

My heart (the organ) would hate it
My heart (emotions) would love it
Heartburn really has nothing to do with your heart, ya know. It's more your stomach acid deciding it hates you so much that it tries to eat you from the inside of your body and expels noxious gasses up your esophagus to let you know you're about to be digested by yourself.

At least that's what I assume happens, the vast majority of my knowledge of anatomy and digestive functions comes from the Magic School Bus.

Oh yeah I know, but my actual heart-heart really does have a tendency to thump pretty hard if I have a heavy pizza. 😅

Luckily I've only ever gotten heartburn a couple times, but I sure do remember it.

And most of my knowledge of anatomy and digestive functions comes from the frog boss in Yoshi's Island.

Wii is the best to me. Just so smooth and sleek and the Wii remote is the best looking controller when nunchuck is removed.

For the handheld, I would go with the DSi. Matte black finish and just the perfect refinement of the lite concept.

GOAT pizza
I've always wanted to try it.
I flew to Chicago to buy an old Subaru years ago and one of my goals was to find a legit deep dish place in Chicago, but every one I went to was closed for some reason so I never got the chance.

Same! Maybe it’s a new thing?
Maybe?
All I know is a monthly Square event sounds too good to be true. Either it'll spread the news so thin that each individual event will be blah, or they have so much coming that it'll be like a deluge where stuff gets lost in the flood.

Edit: unless it's like the Sonic biweekly livestream where they discuss a lot of merchandise, comics, and fan stuff, which a second look at the Square tweet kinda seems to be implying.

Each month can be new DLC for Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. Just music announcements with snipits of the tracks.

It seems like it’s a recap of their news from September, not, like, new news
That’s my hope. I feel like I’m in a monkey paw reality or some circle of hell from Dante’s Inferno:

“Oh you wanted more Square-Enix games? Have so many you can’t keep up!” 😭

truly misread this as “I flew to Chicago in an old Subaru”
