I’m gonna avoid the boards completely for a couple weeks starting now — I hear Dread spoilers are out in the wild and I don’t wanna risk seeing anything. I have a cursed brain where I can instantly do plot math based on tiny tidbits, which is no fun because I like surprises. (Apparently this happens to other people with dyslexia too? Unverified but I’ve heard a couple similar stories)

Anyways y’all have fun, remember me, and fuel the shitpost abyss in my honor

Haha I know that feel. I have so many games in my backlog that I'll probably just be playing older Switch games while I wait for newer ones and keep PS4 games when I get my PS5

Once I get my copy of the anniversary collection from limited run, may just play the Requiem collection before or after.

I do hope to get limited run copy of that collection as well since that's confirmed to be happening in the future

Oh wait, there's gonna be a physical version at some point? Damn, maybe I should hold on for that then so I could eventually pass it down to my little sisters 😋

Supposed to be one from limited run at some point. They announced it back at their E3 event this year. When it will be coming is anyone's guess. Even though I have it digitally, I'm getting the physical copy

Haha, it's exactly the same in my case. If I had Dread already, I'd have dropped NNK at this point, easily. Now if I pick up my Switch for some gaming in bed, I'm either playing a quest or two in Rise or pushing through NNK as a more story driven alternative. Definitely more relaxing than Rise, that's for sure.
 
Happy for the ones who are getting Dread on launch day... For me is maybe two weeks later since first the international shipping arrives with the copy and second, from the 8th I'll probably be out in another town with the family for a week (a sort of disconnection trip)...

Personally speaking, Metroid Dread spoilers mean nothing for me. Story doesn't matter and if I happen to see a pic of a boss or two I'll manage.

I just watched a couple of basic gameplay clips from the Dread leak, no spoilers. Movement looks unbelievable. Possibly the best ever seen in a Metroidvania if those 2 clips are a sign of bigger and better things to come.

Surely they are since Samus’ moveset only gets more and more varied
 
Downloaded Dread before ready for release day. When the download was complete I felt like I had a full infinity gauntlet on. Genuinely the most I’ve looked forward to a Switch game since maybe Smash.

Leveling up my cars and unlocking difficulty levels in CRUIS’N is keeping my mind occupied for now, but the Dread hype is starting to get to me.

Ahh...my bad. I thought you were talking about the Advance collection for a second. My bad. Hmm...well a physical copy for SotN would still be dope 🤔
 
After Monkey Ball and Dread, I should be able to snag the Advsnce collection for like, $7 after gold coins. That seems like a pretty dang good value.

I know that feeling, lol. Honestly that's kind of me with Tales of Arise right now. I don't DISlike, exactly, it's just that I'm starting to find it less fun to actually play than I did near the middle. But on the other hand, I want to keep at it because I want to see where the hell the plot goes because it's looking to be getting pretty batshit insane, and I'm always down for some batshit anime nonsense.

I need to go back to this game at some point. I got around.... halfway, I think? And just kind of dropped it for other games. I was enjoying it well enough, but it has a really unusual feel and structure for an RPG. Very chill and relaxed.

Using spreadsheets while playing rpgs feels very nice for some reason.
Games like Etrian Odyssey, Labyrinth of Refrain, and Atelier games have very nice communities that put together some great info.

I just beat Tales of Arise and returning to Ryza after that just highlights how small and linear Tales of Arise is.
