At the same time: a crash for me is something where the industry essentially dies.
What we are talking here is not a crash. its a redistribution. Huge bloated ones will have lower earnings or maybe even be in the red for a year or 2. It will influence future investments. For shure. But thats not a crash, thats more of a correction in my book.

I really dont see all of them going down. I remember when hones started and free to play and people where "there wont be AAA games anymore!!"...and then we got stuff like Horizon or RDR2. Im kinda over the doomposting for the industry, when the munbers clearly are speaking against it, and some slight changed in leadership would fix most problems.

I definitely agree that it's not doomposting time, or even close, but it's unquestionably a low point in time against a period of unbelievable, sustained high points.

How significant that low proves to be is anyone's guess, but there's no doubt in my mind that this coming Christmas period is significant.

Obviously, Nintendo isn't going to throw the whole first party out day 1. My hunch is that if we get all three systems this year, the launch line up will be more spread out. If we jsut get GB/GBC for now, those line ups should start with more games.

I hope they announce a game where you are a customer in a cafe and you can also walk around town and do stuff but mostly you're just chilling and listening to people, basically without a story but you do have something to do, maybe you're a foreign student and over the course of the game are learning the language yeah if you agree
 
Dark Cloud requesting self-bans to summon a Direct announcement has got to be the funniest yet saddest running gag of this thread both here and on the old place.

I like how no one mentioned that Partner's June Direct was announced an hour ago which would led to not being it Mini too since General Directs are always announced at 23:00 JST.
 
I really hope Nintendo announces a direct mini today, airing tomorrow. And in the mini they show BOTW2 and a new Mario so that chaos reigns and no one knows anything anymore
