Finally beat the first chapter of Paper Mario. Haven't played the game since my first run through on Wii, but man is it so much nicer to play with an N64 controller in hand.

I'm still taking a brave stance that I like TTYD more, but regardless at least it feels good playing a Paper Mario game I enjoy.

Really wanted to try and play it myself on NSO. Hopefully I can one day

Absolutely, it's a charming story and solid gameplay loop that's really engaging. Hopefully the hand heals up quick after you speak with your neurologist about your next steps

Well the lego Star Wars news at the Disney marvel games showcase was disappointing. Was wanting levels. Hopefully by the time my hand gets better it will be on a good sale anyway so I can play

Well I'm still of the brave stance that I like SMRPG more 👀
RPG, PM and TTYD are all S tier games and no one is wrong when they said any are the best of the three. If you look at it in terms of it being somewhat of trilogy not many successive games like that are that close in quality

well, actually thinking about it Sticker Star, Color Splash and Origami King are all close in quality too I guess

Oh look, more fucking Texas news in the Washington Post. It’s like daily with these people. I won’t post because it could be triggering for some people, but why do these people want no government intervention but then make the most invasive laws?

It says a lot about Texas that I'm going through news from there in the past 24 hours and there are so many terrible things that I don't know which you're referring to. 😑

never played sticker Star but both Color Splash and Origami King are excellent, so…
I haven’t played Color Splash, but TOK is so much better than Sticker Star it isn’t even funny. SS is mediocre and TOK is a masterpiece

I will die on the hill that Color Splash is a masterpiece too and I like it more than TOK

just by a bit tho

Rewatching Fellowship of the Ring, I forgot how much weight Boromir pulled. Everyone of course remembers his sacrifice at the end but he's right in the thick of the fight throughout the movie. He carries both Merry and Pippin when jumping across the broken bridge. He carries Frodo after Gandalf is pulled down the Balrog. You see him trying to comfort Gimli and argue with Aragorn about giving the Hobbits a moments rest after Moria. Shows that he really does care about his companions, maybe even more than the rest of the Fellowship at that point in the story.

I love Fellowship so much. It's still my favorite of the trilogy. ROTK might be BETTER, but Fellowship is the one I always go back to the most.

I wonder if I’m gonna leave Splatoon 3’s campaign to the week before the sequel like I’ve done the past two times or if I’m gonna start it sooner this time.

Boromir was a good man who not only wanted to do right by his people, but also do right by his friends. Not to mention how he and Faramir had such a good relationship, and how Boromir would defend his brother against their father Denethor. People let the fact that he was tempted by the ring, and that he gave into that temptation once, overshadow his entire character. That man was a hero.

You ever convince yourself of something and soon after realize you've been a complete idiot? I dropped my phone in some water (it has a mostly waterproof case) so I took it out of the case to wipe it off and dry it, make sure it was clean, etc. I then put the case back on, and when I got a text a bit later it didn't make any noise. I spent 30 minutes convinced the speakers must have died and I'd have to look into getting it repaired, only to realize that when I put the case back on I flipped the switch to silent mode...

Ordered pizza to accompany an evening of Xenoblade 3 and Rings of Power. Yessss

Boromir's great and tragic precisely because he is a hero; he's the greatest hero Gondor has at that time, along with his brother, and the ring still turns him. Great performance from Sean Bean.

Holy shit CBD Oil is f---ing amazing.

This is day 3 of taking it, and I honestly cannot remember ever feeling so little anxiety. Normally it's a constant companion, bubbling away and occasionally erupting; now for the first time I can recall it feels like it has diminished to the point of fading into the background.

I've taken a lot of medications in my life to treat my anxiety and OCD, and this is more effective than any of them, and unlike other meds, is so far having no side effects whatsoever.

This is a borderline miracle and it is insane this isn't more widely legal and available.

Do it, by completing it you usually get a set of cosmetic items and bragging rights for all of 5 minutes before you swap it out for something else

About 2 days into the movie campaign! We've been targeting people who love movies like Wes Craven's Red Eye, Whiplash, Uncut Gems, and other suspenseful/tense movies. It's really going to give the viewer that type of experience. Serious special thanks to @Dragoncaine who contributed a donation to the project. It means a lot to me.

The project has a long way to go until it's fully funded, but the progress is looking okay so far! Hoping for the best as we progress more in the campaign and try to reach out to people potentially interested in being a part of a film production and contributing/spreading the word 🙏

Okay so Disney Illusion Island is giving off slight Mickey Mousecapade vibes and 5-year-old me is kinda happy about it

Reposting this for for all you dreamcabers:

I would easily take another Nintendo vs. Sega generation over the Nintendo vs. Sony we currently have any day of the week.

Looks like I'm gonna have to look into this.

I’m fairly certain that their logic is along the lines of their freedom not hurting anybody but the freedom of others in less protected groups being the cause of some kind of moral decay that will bring about the end of days.

And who can blame them? Clearly a person asking to be referred to as “they/them” is more dangerous than a good ol boy armed with enough ammunition to take down a small village.

I am a gun

I am about to fire up Rings of Power episode 3 and the thumbnail is a black woman in gold armor and I hope Texas is fuckin suffering
I mean the shitty, bigoted Texans who run the state, not the women and minorities being held captive by the fucks

I'm about to eat a fast food hamburger (makes american conservatives happy) while watching Rings of Power (makes american conservatives angy)

I really hope the Switch version of Midnight Suns doesn't get canned. Super excited for that game but I'd much prefer to play a strategy RPG on a handheld.

BEFORE I FORGET!!!

Question 1: What is your favorite multiplayer game and/or memory?

For competitive games, summer 2008 was filled with playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Met a bunch of new people that summer st a country club we won a membership to and we all chilled around my Wii in the cabana to play. I miss having big groups of people to play Smash with, it's the one thing keeping me from investing as much time into Ultimate.

For coop, me and my three best friends at the time spent an entire summer going through Super Mario 3D World at my house. We slowly but surely made it through every level. Beating Champion's Road together felt so triumphant.

Question 2: Animal themed games are becoming more and more popular. We had Untitled Goose Game a few years ago and this month we have Stray releasing physically and of course Splatoon 3, a very scientifically accurate Squid experience. What animal themed game do you want to see next and what does it roughly look like if you were to design it?

Spur of the moment thought - a seagull game where you take food from tourists would be pretty amusing.
