I don't remember any recent JRPG that has put tears in my eyes so much. Some gave me quite the emotional ride but it's been a while since I've been in such a state with a single game.

Yeah I think this direct is going to be great with the lack of the E3 one. Im expecting a good trailer for sure and that will be enough for me, but there should be a bunch of other cool stuff shown in the direct. May not be the best Direct but really solid.

eh tbf, it's been months since that so called leak came out. There hasn't been any news or reports since then. All we know that there's supposedly at least two future games in production or even completed and set for release. What's being released first or that and their release dates are just simply unknown. Could be late 2022 or sometime early 2023

All we know is they're ditching the school setting and the protag looks cool as hell. And it's done by Gust. That's enough info for me get crazy excited.
Do we actually know they're ditching the school setting? I don't remember hearing that. If they are, I hope it's replaced with something that serves a similar purpose. Somewhere you have a home base to run around, socialize, train units up, etc. Maybe they'll go Suikoden and give us a castle or a ship this time.
At least for me, it's pretty hard to get hyped for a game that I've known for a long time without really knowing much about it. Same reason why I'm not particularly hyped for BotW2 right now, despite it being a sequel to one of my favorite games of all time.
Nah, lt's speculation based on leaks. The roster has couple of old geezers and one of them seems to be the lead knight. There was some kind of town that the protag going around, I'm guessing it's the main base.

Same. I need a main base to run around. I really liked the school theme. Just give me something similar with activities. I just want more activities and better quality.

I thought about this today, it would be nice! Maybe we can guess based on the Twitter pic they‘ll be posting for the announcement. But that could also stay the same since it’s so iconic now.
If they end on Zelda, it‘ll be the ports and BOTW2 and that would definitely work. If they do the Zelda bit before, there‘s room for two different announcements.
I think if it's a big BOTW2 blowout, it'll be the ending. I'm leaning on FE being the opener, kind of like Three Hopes was last time. Metroid Prime can be in the middle, similar to where Dread was in E3 2021.

BOTW2 and Metroid Prime will be enough for me. I can see those two being the big ones, probably WWHD/TPHD in there too. Also for the rest of the news the last few directs have been pretty good with smaller but still generally great announcements. Not too much filler lately
I'm kinda leaning towards BOTW2 definitely being there, just because Jeff keeps repeating we're "probably getting the name of the next Zelda" like he's sure. I could be misinterpreting that but I don't know. Seems so sure of it in my eyes.
