🎶Body of a swan, a swan, a swan🎶

This is what you were going for, right? Because this is what I immediately heard in my head
It wasn't but I will gladly take credit for it, holy shit

This reminds me of the time that Carly Rae Jepsen came out with a single titled "Western Wind" while I've been working hard on my magnum opus, an album titled "West Wind"
Should have simply renamed it to Wind Wind West, smh.

I thought it was a reference to some meme but yeah it just took root like a weed in my brain 😅

Fun aside: I've still never heard the original Applause, but everytime I think of it I always turn to this mashup with Damien Marley/Skrillex and it may not be a pic but damn it goes hard.

I'll be thinking of you when I see her concert in two weeks 💛🖤💛🖤 If there were justice in the world you'd be double headlining alongside her

Don't wanna @ any Nintendo producer but can you please make a game with Lady Gaga as composer?? Or make Gaga the singer of Jump Up, Superstar 2!

This reminded me, not sure if I am imagining it or, that there was discussion/wishes on the internet circa 2012 for Gaga to somehow be in charge of a Persona game soundtrack??

Meanwhile, at Nintendo

The sad thing about this is that Sony has plenty of first party shooters that they could bring back, like Killzone for example. Sure it won't be as popular as CoD, but at least they won't have to worry about Microsoft buying it out from under them.

OH

omg if you've never even seen the original
um.. go watch that beautiful madness. You'll see where my swan comment came from.
(not linking it here because it's slightly NSFW but no more than the typical Gaga fare)

NSFW that I could probably get away with watching it while WFH, or that I probably don't need it in my search history on my work laptop? An important clarification I probably need to be sure of 😅

There’s a lot of talk about Metroid and Zelda re-releases (and suddenly, an F-Zero GX re-release?!) but I’m not seeing a lot of talk about the potential for a new Kirby collection and honestly I think that’s definitely a possibility. They did a collection for the 20th anniversary and they already released a 30th anniversary logo and everything. A lot of mainline Kirby games will become available if they add GBA and GB to NSO but that still leaves some DS/3DS/Wii games. I could see a “Kirby Star Collection” to follow the earlier “Kirby Dream Collection” (the games in which will all be available on NSO by the time they add Game Boy games).

Main series games that will still be missing from Switch after they add GB and GBA to NSO:

Squeak Squad (DS)
Super Star Ultra (DS)
Return to Dream Land (Wii)
Triple Deluxe (3DS)
Planet Robobot (3DS)

A Kirby collection would be a certain purchase from me and would potentially bump Wind Waker off my radar

How sure are we about the Direct happening next week? It will happen on the 13th? No chance for the 14 because of the TGS?
Man, I'm not joking. My anxiety ia starting to grow really hard...

I implore you to relax

if it helps, keep in mind that this direct is shaping up to be pretty boring. most likely dominated by rereleases and DLC

I do still hope we get Metroid Prime 2 and 3 on Switch at some point. Even if it’s not given the same treatment as the first game I would take a 2&3 double pack
On ssitch i doubt. But i bet it will happen. It will depend on MPR's sales and it will sell at least 3 million

that is my genuine opinion though

remaster direct doesn't excite me at all, even if the games are good
Same. if its that, then i...count almost not care less.
I played them. i know them. they are fine games, but i wont pay that money to replay them.
I have the trilogy on Wii U, same as TP (special amibo edition was on sale here for 30) i have the originals on a gamecube.
I was thinking maybe finding a CRT and replaying some older games on CRTs, but i have no interest in remasters.
GC VC Online? shure.

And i dont say they are worthless. but personally, no interest.
And if its JUST that, then that menans that there is nothing for me
between pokemon and BotW (asuming its somewhere in the first half)

I agree if it turns out this one is unusually remaster heavy but so far I don't see any reason to believe that. There's been a lot of chatter lately about remasters in the works but y'all gotta remember most of them certainly won't be announced here.

Yeah, I agree, but I never played WW HD nor TP HD since I didn't own a Wii U, and judging by Wii U sales, a lot of people in this thread haven't had a go at them either.

Great news everyone, I know when the direct is. Next Wednesday. How I know? Just got confirmation that's when I'll be seeing the neurologist about my hand. Obviously that will be when the direct will happen, pack it up people. Exciting, huh @Dragoncaine ?

notice how I think the direct will be lame but I don't bring it up constantly

I'm only saying it now in the hopes that it helps prevent hype anxiety

Yeah, just because people are chatting remasters doesn’t mean this will be a direct announcing every single one. This Direct will be max TP/WW HD and MPHD, the others will be scattered for release through the next few years so will also be scattered in various Directs.

Shure. going by mass market, 100%...but im pretty shure that the amount of people that had a Wii U HERE at at famiboards is way higher then for the average nintendo fan. So even if twitter is happy, i would asume that fami (and era) will not be that happy about just remasters, and we will again be in the "you guys are never happy" circle discussion.

It does seem like it might end up being…unusually remaster-heavy, though that’s perhaps understandable given covid and all.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it featured a reveal of a new Mario game as, like, a 2023 thing, though.

This is probably nothing but it helps kill the time I guess since none of us actually play games.
Wouldn't this be happening way too late in a media production pipeline?

(EDIT: Link got messed up: pun intended)

Yeah, there's some die-hards here. But there's also a smaller, decent crowd of people who loved Nintendo as a kid with the Wii, GCN, N64 etc..., got into mature games as a teen and went xbox/ps, but now have picked up the Nintendo controller once more because of the Switch.

At the very least this Direct is still likely to have BoTW2 and FE news which is more than enough to excite me. Plus, I would actually be fairly down for the WW/TP remasters since I never actually played much of either game. Though if they're sold individually at 60 then yeah not getting that. And then while I have played KI: Uprising that's definitely a game I'd want to see get a shiny new coat of paint.

I do think people are taking the fact that we know Nintendo is working on a lot of remasters, and that we have a good indication that WW/TP will be announced at this Direct, and taking that to mean the entire Direct will be remaster heavy. Which, unless I've missed something, doesn't seem to have actually been stated?

Yeah, but even taking that into account. there are also some that only started wit the switch.
but thats acurate for the whole group of switch owners, fami is already a filter for die-hards , so the amount of former wii u owners is unnaturally high, and with that the number of people that will have had already played those games.

Personally, I don't think you can actually stop yourself from being disappointed by being anti-hype. If something doesn't excite you at the actual show, you're going to be disappointed no matter what you told yourself going into it. Anyone posting in this thread, especially on a regular basis, is obviously excited for the next Direct. There's no point in lying to ourselves in hopes that we won't get disappointed because it doesn't work.

I'd love to see a new collection too! Especially one that has a bunch of cool extras like Dream Collection on the Wii.

It hasn’t; people are just looking at the games that are heavily rumored (WW/TP, MP1), hinted at (F-Zero), or that fit previously established patterns (Kirby) and are seeing the potential for a lot of remasters there.

Which is…fine, honestly. If we get, like, F-Zero GX HD in January or February, I’d be overjoyed. If we got a Kirby collection for the anniversary, I’d be thrilled. I want as many games from Nintendo’s past as possible to be on the Switch, because I kind of see the Switch family as Nintendo’s platform for a long time to come.

I wish...but I hope you realize they JUST released a new kirby game....

I agree that remasters are boring af, BUT, there's still gonna be new stuff too. BotW2 is the biggie obviously, but as far as New ShitTM goes, there's mainline FE, maybe DK, maybe mainline Mario, etc.

Personally, nearly every "new" reveal can be a remaster or port so long as mainline FE is revealed lol. That right there would be the GOAT Direct to me, I'm way too excited to see it!

Guys, just go to work or to school. Go to the gym, go to read, play videogames, hang on with friends, eat healthy and go to sleep early. You’ll see how fast time passes m, and sooner than later, this week would be finished and cheering at the announcement of the Direct next Monday.

I think this person created a fake update based on the info Grubb gave us. This person has given no specifics, but is making a claim that can give them credit, which is was S*********r did. The only claim is that there will be a Zelda at the end of the presentation, which is a safe bet.
