There are no patterns. MARKETING is run by humans so they may fall into patterns out of habit but I suspect a lot of big announcements are driven by corporate needs and if a date doesn't fit it gets moved.

Directs have been canceled till the end of time. Twitter Announcments are in. In 5 years it'll be Discord announcements.
 
Ok now were at the point where Im good with Nintendo lol. I was just waiting for the MKDX announcement. Someone should just edit all the first party trailers into the partner lol

August with Wave 2, Kirby, Pacman, and more will be hype. Also excited to try out Xenoblade 3 tommorow and see how it goes as its my first Xenoblade!

If there are no Drake news in August just think we are not getting any official information about it for the rest of the year. There is always a small chance of new information in September but would be weird

That's fair, but I have seen many posts where people say it's basically a lock for next week. So why next week precisely and not the one after or any of the weeks between now and, let's say, September?

It made me curious to know if there's a specific rumor I ended up missing.

Do you think BotW 2 is getting delayed again?
Given we probably don't see in in August (Splatoon+Pokemon) and a general direct in September, we're running out of time.
I guess they could give it its own direct in late fall or winter, but it's starting to get pretty dicey.

spring could be as late as June, y'know

Splatoon 3 was summer and it's coming in September

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Everybody’s 1-2 Switch be announced next week before all the investor stuff is released. Nintendo seems to enjoy announcing something tose weeks (AC switch edition, 2ds xl, Mario kart 8 Wii U release date, miitomo)

No, the team probably expects a relatively early Spring release, depending on how quickly they can resolve issues. I would think that if the Zelda team anticipated a late Spring release then they would have just said it will be a Summer 2022 release since any delays for a late Spring game would push the release into summer.

Honestly, I’d say they’ll cut content before delaying it again. I don’t want to even get into coinciding, anticipated hardware release.
