Are we gonna start resetting the clock tomorrow? Since the Xenoblade direct was announced on a Monday
I welcome people to reset as much as they want, but there's absolutely zero smoke so I'll be waiting another week

I think the clock should be reset tomorrow. Even if a direct isn’t imminent, we could easily see a Twitter drop next week.

Take your pick, will it be about dualies, brellas or brushes? Since Mondays seem to be for weapon class showcases
imao, I love how someone is analysing it same as me! It would be cool if brushes are shown, but I would take a new map or screenshot from singleplayer but it does not matter since there is also Wednesday and Friday.

Threehouse with BOTW2 would be enough for me for entire year.

If new Switch hardware gets announced this month I'll buy someone in this thread a $20 e-shop card. Bookmark this post.

Hey I got more Mario Kart out of this last time so here's to hoping

The announcement of the DLSS and ray-tracing enabled New Nintendo Switch, shortly followed by a slate of first party updates and announcements.
Are there any trust worthy sources about a new piece of hardware? I think that in such that case we will see surely a First Party Direct any time soon but a Lite Oled not a new switch

I still maintain that a Lite OLED is a terrible idea

Making an OLED Lite that bridges the price gap between LCD Lite and LCD Base, in addition to the OLED Base already bridging the gap between LCD Base and Drake, that's a lot of different consoles in close price proximity that could start to get confusing for the average consumer. And being confusing to the average consumer is the sort of thing Nintendo fights to avoid.

Phasing out the LCD lineup entirely in favor of OLED on everything, to reduce power consumption and streamline orders/production? That I could see. Dunno if they'd save enough in streamlining/bulk orders to actually do it, but it's the only scenario where I'd see an OLED Lite making sense.

None. Don't believe it. Just hype fueled hopium. If it happens, that's great. But don't expect it.

Do people vote just based on what they want, or do 40% of you truly believe the dlss announcement is just around the corner?
I don’t necessarily believe it. More of a “I guess it could happen and if it does maybe around this point in time?”
It’s July and I feel like if new hard ware is gonna be a thing for this year then July is the time to talk about it. Though I don’t generally speculate on hard ware but the options were in the poll.

Is there any evidence for this hope of an event or a hardware reveal? Or are we just playing around?
Nvidia leak/hack (among other things) pointed to new Switch hardware and, if new hardware were to launch this calendar year, Nintendo would announce it in the first half of this month (as they did with Lite and OLED). It's a possibility but not an inevitability.

There is also the issue of when and how Nintendo choose to talk about their own software for later this year, and so there's the possibility this linked to hardware news. Or software news comes without anything on the hardware front actually happening.

Nate receives mostly reliable information and he has been told about new Dev kits.

We've known since early last year that Q4 2022 was a potential launch of the New Nintendo Switch. It's just finally time for the announcement.

I think you're spot on here, and I think it makes far more sense that what'll happen is the OLED model replaces the base version entirely (and the price goes down to the OG price), the Lite either gets an OLED screen or just stays the same, and then the Pro/2 model comes in as the new "premium" model.

Not for me. Gimme. Seriously, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
If they were to make a premium smaller model, I think they should take the opportunity to make it both smaller and a clamshell. If they're going to make a premium small model, it ought to be safely and comfortably pocketable. Furthermore, I feel that the current Lite could get adequately pared down with a minor cut to battery life.

I just secured enough funds for my steam deck reservation. Now I plan to save some for the new switch. We know it’s coming. Not a matter of it but when.

I will still get third party games for switch because I want to support the switch there

Next week there will be the first Direct Mega revealing every Nintendo franchise in existence will get a new high budget sequel.

People will be bored to death because the Switch ain't the Steam Deck.

There is 0 evidence of an OLED Lite existing. We knew about the Lite and OLED model via data mining.
