I guess with no E3 the Direct will be called Nintendo Direct June 2022 instead of Nintendo Direct E3 so it will be announced days before it takes place instead of months in advance.
 
I'm curious to see if this direct will air at the regular E3 time slot or if they'll treat it like a regular direct and it'll go live a few hours later than usual

Big same. I feel this way every year around this time. It's like everyone's waiting to announce their gaming news in June. To combine analogies, it feels like standing over the edge of a cliff waiting for the floodgates to open.

My favorite part is how this person saw all these hyper specific things but managed to not see anything about Splatoon 3 other than no amiibo. They literally say this. Makes sense, lol.

Barring any huge unexpected releases from Nintendo, the minute Metroid Prime HD is announced, it becomes my most anticipated game for 2022. I binged all of the 2D Metroid games before Dread, and it quickly became one of my favorite franchises. Then Dread ended up being my favorite game in the entire series. I've never touched a Prime game, I need it ASAP

This person has clearly kept on top of what's being talked about here and in other leak-followy places; the Metroid Prime, Kirby collection, and Everybody Switch announcements and release dates all being reasonable.

It falls apart because of the absolutely stupid names for Zelda and Prime 4. End of the Wild? Inducement?
 
Bethesda and Nintendo, can we please get mod support for Skyrim Anniversary Edition on the Nintendo Switch without the need of homebrew? Please let everybody have some simple fun. My guess is NCL is blocking the feature. Modding Skyrim is way more fun than actually playing the game.
 
Considering that this is most likely going to be a "normal" direct not tied to E3, why would it be impossible for it to air on "normal" Direct times, meaning the first or second week of the month? Wasn't the only reason that the June Directs aired around 14-16th that they were tied to E3?
 
Reading the amusing 4chan "leak" (End of the Wild is nice, but Death of the Wild is better - i.e. even worse! xD), and imagining that it ends at Mario + Rabbids and still no Zelda... I'd be quite moody if Zelda still isn't shown, but I can definitely see it happening.

Yes, the only reason the June directs were the dates they were is because they’re tied to E3’s schedule.

If it is a free upgrade for existing players like other platforms, I will switch over to that version.

Yeah dont expect the Direct to be announced weeks prior no need to with no E3/ESA around this year. Probably Thursday 9th or Friday 10th announcement for Tuesday 14th.

Read up on the revitalized DK talk and I have to say, I would be a little sad if it were a 2D game instead of a 3D game. Granted, Donkey Kong 64 had its fair share of flaws here and there but it is one of my most favourite games of all time and I really do think 3D DK deserves another lease at life.

fuck it I'm replaying that game tonight
