Jury duty never lies
June 6th lol
The very first thing I thought of when I got the jury duty summons for the 7th was Skittzo's saga from last time and posting about it to try to will the Direct to be that day, but it was mostly just to play into the joke. I swear, if it's ACTUALLY somehow on that day I deserve a reward for my sacrifice. At least a cookie or something.

You get a cookie for giving blood, you should be getting like ~$15 for jury duty.

That's like 10 cookies, or maybe actually like 7 or 8 in today's economy.

Last year with a digital E3 Nintendo announced their direct one week early.

I think that’s the earliest they’ll do. One week prior to a day or two before.
It depends on whether or not we get Treehouse this year, imo. If we do, then I could see the Direct being announced early, e.g. a week prior. However, if we live in the dark timeline where Treehouse isn't happening this year, then I think it'll be the typical day in advance annoucement.

Yeah that’s exactly how I would see it going.

Here's hoping for 1 week's notice (or a 1 week hint/leak warning) so I can arrange work accordingly.
My last day at my current job is June 3, and then took off the following month between jobs. Happy I won’t have to worry about taking time off this year, but definitely know your pain.

I hope Nate gives us a hint a week or 2 early. Give people some notice if they need to make arrangements
I hope we actually get to know when Nate drops the hint when the Direct is actually taking place, like a date, although I can definitely imagine that being hard to pin down (a week timeframe would be nice though teehee)

I know one thing, once it's announced there's gonna be about 67 extra pages in 5 seconds

I bet the opener this time will be Bayonetta 3, with a 4-5 minute trailer showcasing story and gameplay elements.

Metroid announcements will be at the middle

The ending will be zelda again with wiiu ports announcements and finally botw 2 trailer revealing its name. Before Zelda announcement they will talked about MK8DX DLC Booster Course Pass Wave 2.

Bayonetta 3 as the opener? I dunno about that. There's so many other bigger games/potential announcements.

It was not a hint.

actually I'm not sure I know how to buy a sport jersey, does it come in gay?

They’re not saving Mario Kart towards the end imo. It’s a given. It’s a known. Last time it was a big announcement. To me it’ll just be in some spot in the middle of the direct.

They usually don’t open with 4-5 min deep dives, right? Openers tend to be brand new stuff.
Looking back at the previous general directs…

March 2018- Warioware Gold on 3DS
E3 2018- Daemon X Machina
September 2018- Luigi’s Mansion 3
February 2019- Mario Maker 2
E3 2019- Hero in Smash
September 2019- Overwatch on Switch
February 2021- Pyra and Mythra in Smash
E3 2021- Kazuya in Smash
September 2021- Monster Hunter Sunbreak
February 2022- Fire Emblem Three Hopes

They don’t open up with deep dives. It’s always something new. Of course many times it was Smash, but that’s out of the way now.

What if... Nintendo announced it today.... that they don't do any summer showcase... would this be even possible or is it even urgent for Nintendo for doing one in the summer. do thay have to, imo they have to show the lineup for the Rest of teh Year.

just realized how much pokemon shit is happening in the next 2 days(Pokemon Home update, big Pokemon masters update, Hisui web series)

Definitely think we're getting some SV news soon

They could even announce a presents today or tomorrow

yeah too much smoke around Pokémon, I wouldn't be surprised if a Presents or SV news drop this week

Don't give me hope. I'm already impatient for a regular Direct. Add Pokemon expectations and I might vibrate from excitement.

Third Banjo game already came out, it was called Nuts & Bolts and it ruled
If that came out for the Switch as a port, I would be willing to pay 60 dollars for it since I have never played it. But Banjo-Threeie would be cooler, or Banjo-Fourthie, or whatever they choose to call the next one if it ever gets made.

I'm itching for that Pokémon Presents. Scarlet and Violet are gonna be awesome, and I'm sure we will see a new spin off too which might be great.

Microsoft is doing their presentation on Sunday June 12th. The Summer game fest thing starts on June 9th.

I wonder if Nintendo will want to be ahead of all that and do it the June 6th week. The following week there will be a lot of gaming news

Nintendo was always the last conference/presentation at E3 so I don't think they care that there is other news before and after.

Are you sure of a new console spin-off? Because I don't see any releasing this year (we will get 3 games in one year period), I'd love to see it though. I think the next Pokemon spin-off will be announced early 2023 and release later in 2023 (probably late summer) because in 2023 we will probably only get S/V DLC nothing more when it comes to mainline releases or remakes.

We are at two games with Legends and S/V, right? Also, I think New Snap was revealed around E3 and released early next year, so that's also an option. I think we will have a new spin off announced this year.

All I will say is, the day after my son was born, Nintendo posted their Mario Mini Direct where they announced the collection, SM3DW, and Mario All Stars on NSO. My daughter is due on June 3rd.

I maintain Goldeneye was absolutely supposed to be out by now on NSO, but it's Russia-based content probably put it's release on hold for the foreseeable future.
