Outriders didn't make a profit in 2021, People Can Fly confirms

Outriders didn't turn a profit throughout 2021 and developer People Can Fly have not received any royalty payments from the game.

While the game's launch was plagued with server issues, it attracted nearly 100,000 concurrent players on Steam.[39] For the period between February 28 and April 3, 2021, Outriders was the third best-selling game in the US based on dollar sales.[40]

The game attracted 3.5 million players one month after the game's initial launch.[41] According to Square Enix, releasing the game at launch for Xbox Game Pass subscribers "worked in their favour" as it helped the game to build an install base in a short period of time.[42]

Yeah, I think the Switch set and the last Badge Bunny sets are the final ones.

I am surprised that they haven't found a way to bring this back for Switch because I have spent twenty bucks by now finishing sets that I want.

Fewer games is also why so many companies are switching to a games as a service model. If you only have one game or even no games coming out in a year, then how are you going to make money? DLC and microtransactions of course. Activision is basically the Call of Duty company. It's one of your only sources of revenue so you need to throw all of you devs to make content for the series but then now you don't have any devs to make other games to fill out the remainder of the schedule.

If they made it free with your platinum points, would have been the perfect avenue to give away the NSO icons they just started doing. Probably didn’t want anything that would big down the system OS though.

iirc his shift in game developement to mobile was caused because he wanted to be able to afford making games without depending on the financial support of third parties, funny enough he needed Apple help anyway.

The charts show that we will never get a single purchase title again since Mario run revenue was not great despite massive download numbers.

Hot take: Mario Run is better than Sunshine.

I think Nintendo is not really leaving the mobile market , I feel like they leaving more mobile development and they will just license IPs to DeNa/Niantic/Cygames etc The way Nintendo makes mobile games doesn’t seem to work in the current mobile market outside of FE:H.

For me, the Star Wars sequel trilogy's constant game of reverse-Uno carding each prior installment results in The Rise of Skywalker being one of the worst major blockbusters of the past decade. And I liked The Last Jedi, abundant flaws and all. Somebody had to actually commit to a vision in the sequel trilogy at some point, and Rian Johnson directed the greatest episode of dramatic television ever made and followed up TLJ with the absolute banger that is Knives Out.

It's what they are doing, imo they should pick one of the big JP mobile devs and create a strong partnership with them like they have done in the console space with Bamco/KT to ensure having a reliable partner to make mobile games of these franchises. It could be Niantic/DeNa ,probably the latter due to Nintendo owning 12% of DeNa and DeNa helping with most Nintendo mobile games.

Yes. I was very confused throughout and only remember a Yoda Fight scene and some dumb somersault leading to leg chopped.

Star Wars to me is just pure dis-interest. One of those things you see and just turn the page immediately cause you don’t care enough to even think about it.
 
our modem decided to kick the bucket so we will be without wifi for a few days till our new one gets here Monday

I’ve been trying to run diagnostics on Skyrim special edition and mods through my hot spot and this damn migraine I have right now is making me frustrated at some things with it right now

@merp planned to watch revenge of the sith last night but that didn’t happen due to migraine and no wifi and my Verizon internet running super slow than normal

Apparently dkctf individual level speed runs are wild. Upon trying to get gold medals myself I found out you can also watch other people's runs and some of them are really creative and cool
