Come on Nintendo.

Do something. Release like a trailer to an upcoming 1st party game. Or meme something

I’m bored lol

HD-2D Chrono Trigger is an inevitability, as far as I'm concerned

Someday we'll get it. Square knows people would be all over that
I think they don't know what to do with Chrono Trigger really. 3D remake like Trails of Mana with bigger budget , HD-2D remake , just straight port or even some unique 2D remaster are all options I could see SE taking . It seems like all the fan base is pushing for HD-2D remakes of all their SNES era titles but that could be a mistake on the long run I think due to lack of identity some titles could suffer it all of them look samey if not enough space is given between releases . I think SE should focus on TS+Octopath franchises and make remakes of all DQ 1-6 with HD-2D (I still think it would have been better to make DQ III remake a DQ 1-3 remake which would all follow the story of the first three games but that may be me being too much of a dreamer when it comes to DQ) + some lesser known JRPGs of the era like Live A Live which appreciate the boost of hype created by being in HD-2D.

Donkey Kong 64 is all I need to be satisfied from NSO Online. Anything else is just a bonus.

It's definitely coming. I'm pretty sure it's the next HD-2D remake we'll get, after Dragon Quest 3.

Ok, the N64 catalog on NSO is almost to the point where I'm intrigued enough to buy it, assuming we don't get GBA before DK64, Banjo 2, Diddy Kong Racing, Smash and the Mario Parties.

Anyway onto a more relevant topic I hope you are all ready to finally have Chrono Cross available on a Nintendo system after 23 years.
I'm here for the whole Square-Enix PS1 catalog on Switch thing. It's like revisionist history in the best way.

What good is chrono cross without having Chrono trigger
It's still good and really can be played independently of Trigger.

Was this known about?

Nvm it's Nintendolife not Nintendo. Me being hasty and not paying attention. This is why trademarks exist.

This one was kind of interesting actually

Super Kiwi 64 - retro 3d collectaton from Toree devs. The kiwi carries a portable plane so it can glide

Moonstone Island - open-world top-down game with card-based combat, crafting, and a nice GBA pixel art aesthetic

The Spirit And The Mouse - The highlight of the video, a 3d exploration-focused game where you control a mouse and have to find electric creatures to fix the city's electricity problems

They are impressively releasing these N64 games consistently lol. Beyond everyone’s expectations, but at the cost of SNES and NES

I feel like this is leading up to a new console app for this fall.

People should give Chrono Cross a try, even if they can't play Trigger for the moment, because it's a great game by itself. It's like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, you don't have to play the first one to experience one of the best JRPG ever created and it's definitely the same with Cross.

I think its better to treat Chrono Cross and Trigger as if they were DQ games and you played DQ IX first instead of DQ III , both masterpieces of their generations and even if they share some stuff due to being in the same franchise but outside of that really different.

You ever think about how in Pyra/Mythra’s Smash reveal trailer, when confronting Shulk at the end of the trailer, Mythra shifts back to the weaker Pyra just before fighting Shulk, in a subtle but marvelous bit of shade towards the Monado boy?

Because I think about that a lot.

Never played any Mario Golf, I was looking forward to jumping in with Super Rush but ended up cooling on it due to the lukewarm reception.

Turns out my first one will be the first one.

I wonder if Konami is on board of NSO. There are too many of their N64 games I wanna play. Even the crappy ones like Deadly Arts or Hybrid Heaven.
Hey, Hybrid Heaven could very well be the next Metal Gear Solid!

It may sound like a sick joke, but I would try to play the mess called Castlevania 64. Never played it before . Come on Konami put it on NSO:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The Dreamcast, N64 and PS1 versions of Rayman 2 were soooo different to each others lol.
The Dreamcast version looks almost like the PS2 version and with a better framerate, this console was a monster.

Is it just me or does Final Fantasy XV actually have great music?
What’s up with this actually delimiter? Like was the music considered bad or something by people?

Of course it had good music, it was Yoko Shimomura and a handful of others. Yoko doesn’t miss.

Fun fact : Yoko Shimomura's first work at Square Enix was for Live a Live. I'm so excited to listen to the rearranged soundtrack for the remake.

Been a while since I posted some of my cooking. This is a cheesy, black bean, and beef skillet. Also had an Irish red ale from Whistle Punk out of Spokane.

I can't tell if Merp is serious about not knowing who Yoko Shimomura but let's use this opportunity anyway to post Yoko Shimomura songs.

I am playing Banjo Kazooie again through the Switch app and it makes me really inspirational to try and give my own shot at game design and development.

Over the years I have noted down so many ideas that felt good at the time. And a couple of years ago I started toying around in GameMaker and learned the beginnings of coding but now I am thinking "With all these modern creation tools at my disposal, wouldn't it be possible to lay down a fundament for a 3D platformer on my own?"

It's a staggering amount of work and time investment but chipping away at it day by day sounds like something rather fun, I'd learn a lot of skills down the road and I could be more than just the idea guy. I want to give it a shot.
Amazing!
Have any of you tried Game design and/or development as a total beginner on your own and any tips whether there would be big limitations in using Unity vs. Unreal if I just want to start out with simple graphical assets?
I started programming that way, as a kid working in QBasic on DOS, and it basically gave me my career. So don't have an opinion on Unity vs Unreal, but I encourage you to just run with it, and see what happens

I’m on my phone right now but will gladly provide examples in the morning
Yuuuuuusssssssss

...I honestly hope that if there's ever an A Song of Ice and Fire adaptation (maybe done by Netflix or some other streaming service).

She'll be the one to do the music for it.

But that's if GRRM actually FINISHES THE SIXTH, SEVENTH, AND PRESUMABLY EIGHTH BOOK!
